Dying Light: Volatile Virus

After some time walking and lost through the Slums, suddenly, in the sky is spotted a cargo plane, dropping two supply airdrops. You then decided to continue, as for sure, you was going to find a way back, or others in there.

After making your way with some ease, and thanks to the track of the GPS tracker on the supply, you find yourself in one of the both drops, so you instantly grab every crate it contains, obtaining 6 Antizin's crates, and 4 medical crates.

But quickly after, before you get up from saving the crates on your backpack, you are ambushed by a few of Rais' gang members.

You quickly get up and stand in position, ready for any imminent rush.

They were holding made up or collected what seems to be different things as melee weapons. For you, they weren't even a possible threat, but yet, they could become one in other way, and be very annoying, so your best option was finding a way to deal with them, one way or another.

After a moment, they stopped trying to intimidate you, while you were analyzing the situation and them, ignoring what they were saying, and so, one tried poorly to hit you, but you almost instantly parried and countered, taking your turn to beat it up, making it fall down to it's knees.

-"... Do I have to beat you all up? Don't make me kill you."

They did not hesitate and everyone rushed, but poorly, attacking with the same tactics as a pack of wolves, but out of sync with each other. What allowed you to get much advantage from the so many open opportunities they were giving you.

After a beat up, you decided to leave them be, alive and by their own luck, even if they most probably ended dying as food for the infecteds.

You continued your way trying to find the other drop, but then you notice Kyle Crane running and jumping in the distance, so you started to run, not as agile as Crane, but with certain speed, despite all the weight you're carrying.

As you run, you charged with high strength, taking with great push every Biter and Viral out of your way.

After a big while, you made your way, despite being an exhaustive charge against Biters and Virals, while carrying much weight on your back and shoulders, you finally reached the drop.

Unluckily, you don't see anyone near. Neither any survivor, or any infected. You only see the two empty boxes of the drop of GRE wide open.

You searched around, but not finding anything useful. Someone took everything already, and Crane wasn't nearby either.

You remained still to catch your breath, while the growls all around and near, covered every other noise.

After a moment of recovering, you continued your way through the Slums, trying to survive by your own.

As the hours passed, you remained trying to find anything better to eat, than whatever you could find, as protein bars, or scattered food in not a good state, while the night slowly approached.

Before the night fell, a sudden cargo plane appeared in the sky, flying over, and dropping what seems to be a big drop, with more than the usual amount of boxes.

You get up, and start walking with caution while see how the drop slowly falls in the distance.

Your path is hard, as you have to sneak through the streets of the Slums, while Volatiles, Night Biters1, and Virals, are all over everywhere.

After a moment, you reach the place, and short later, the airdrop lands. The are multiple boxes of GRE of different colors, as the medicine supply ones with orange/red color, but also food supply ones with green and yellow color, and arsenal supply one with black and blue color.

The surroundings are filled with growls of Volatiles and Virals, running all around you, but not towards you yet. You grab everything you can, saving everything inside your backpack, obtaining 3 Antizin crates, 2 Medical crates, a specialized M19111 along 5 magazines, and a specialized M42 along 10 magazines of overpressured + P ammunition.

As you prepared yourself, everything was very calm, and yet, all the growls so close to you. There was something wrong for sure, but maybe other survivors around, and the Volatiles were being distracted with them instead with you.

Once you saved everything in the backpack, and equipped your new guns, you got up, but then, you notice a strange note as if hiding something behind. You grab the note, and notice a keycard slot in the black and blue box. By not having any keycard, you decided to focus on the letter, but first, a quick check around.

When you looked around, you noticed a sudden pair of eyes looking at you. You quickly grabbed the specialized M4, and aimed, but before shooting, the Volatiles started running towards you, but luckily, Crane appeared, kicking one of them in the head, and then quickly started hitting with strength the other. Once killed, Crane killed the first one, and then look at you.

You look at the made up melee Crane was holding, it was a poor weapon, and yet, it had electricity on it, and seemed more lethal than your new specialized pistol or specialized M4.

-"... I'm actually impressed. But where were you? You left me behind for hours!"

Crane: "There's no time right now, we have to leave, now!"

Then, Crane started running away, and you quickly followed him.

After a moment, you lose Crane again. You start walking nearby, trying to find Crane, when suddenly, you hear something, and turn around, seeing Crane up of a building behind you.

Crane: "Come on, we can't lose time! It's too dangerous in the night!"

-"I already told you! I can't reach you up there!"

By the yells, suddenly, you two are spotted by a Volatile, and the chase start. Crane quickly run away with parkour, leaving you behind as meat distraction, while having to run through the streets.

Very quickly, you get surrounded by Volatiles, so you enter inside a house, trying to reach a way out of them without fighting directly.

After short, you reached to leave, but was very hard for you to accomplish a stealth escape in that situation. Then, you started to run away without hesitation or doubt, trying to find a safe place to pass the night, but slowly, you start transforming, as your vision starts getting blurry, and red lines are more visible from the sides of your view, and your grip feels slightly heavier along your hands colder and rusty.

After a short moment, you start seeing different things, as if you're entering a dream, or something similar, as you are running through a long hallway of an abandoned hospital, but every person in there is infected and is a Viral, so you rush and push everything and everyone out of your way, until you see suddenly at the end, how a strange Viral is running away from you instead of going towards you. This Viral was Crane, but infected, so you wonder if Crane got infected, or what happened, and continue to find out, running faster and faster, trying to catch this Crane infected as Viral.

As you chase Crane, you see obstacles in your way, and you easily push them away as you continue running, as are simple wood weak planks for what you see, but after reaching the end of the hallway, you see floating things, as vehicles, platforms, and even small isles.

You move back a little, and run again, and jump, but your jumps is way higher than any normal jump, as you feel almost floating, similar to the gravity of the Moon.

You continue chasing Crane, your speed increasing as you jump with impulse, breaking through any obstacle in your way, as you see sudden objects getting in your way, but as easy to break as paper.

Some jumps, make you tremble for an instant, as you see the floor break some times, and you fall, but quickly regain yourself, and continue running.

Everything is endless for you, as despite how much you try to reach, you don't seem capable of, and yet, you slowly approach him, slowly reaching him.

After a moment, you continue chasing Crane, and climb a strange fortress from where you see very small fire balls fall towards you, and once you reach the top, suddenly, Biters appear at your sides, but to not stop, you grab them of your sides, and jump, shattering their heads instantly against the ground, and then you continue running. But then, you suddenly stop, as everything suddenly flashes an intense purple light, blinding you.

You can't see where Crane went, or anything around you, but then, you start see red figure with purple outline light coming from them all around you, and up of the walls of the fortress, so you quickly jump over the ones near you, and easily crash their skulls with your hands or against the ground, while dodging the very small fire balls.

Once you killed all the biters inside the fortress, you look the ones in the walls of the fortress, but they run away, something strange for you, but yet, they made you can't continue chasing Crane to see what happened to him, to even reach to help him, and so, you see a red mark in one of the walls of the fortress, and when you kick it, it instantly shatters, falling down as debris, and then the near also breaking and shattering down, as if you just kicked the weak point, to make the entire wall fall down.

You look around and see the red shadow biters with a purple outline emitting a bright violet light, and so, quickly, you approach them, and after reaching them, you easily smash their heads, exploding after collision.

After have killed every biter in the fortress, you try to search for Crane, walking for the direction he was going before losing his track. You jump to different small isles, impulsing yourself to reach further, but no trail of Crane yet, after a moment in the distance, you see a weak fade trail of red color, so you decide to follow it.

After a moment, you see a red shadow running and jumping away, but slowly, you recognize it, is Crane, you found him, and you start chasing him again, but you notice, Crane's movement were now slow, he was exhausted, and sweating, but then as you got closer, he got even more nervous, and tried to continue, but couldn't reach far before you reached him.

When you reach him, the floor under both of you break by you landing on it, and then, you quickly run towards Crane, who poorly swings his right arm, now being a electric blade instead of a human arm, and you get down, slipping with a dash, dodging easily, and then with a quick turn of impulse with your hands, you turn, sliding with strength your left leg, and striking Crane down, making him fall.

You get up and in front of him, but then you grab him by the neck and lift him with you left hand, but before you could do something, Crane's left arm become a strange syringe, as is entirely a long sharp noodle, and pierces your neck slightly with the top of it, and then, you see everything shatter, as if a mirror is being broken slowly, and then, everything shatters completely, while everything flashes white, and everything in your view slowly seems to recover colors getting back to a more lifelike style, and then you see yourself grabbing Crane, but he isn't infected, and his left arm is human and normal, and holding an electrified modified machete, and holding on his left arm, an injection of Antizin.

You drop Crane as you feel your body heavier, and you start losing the feel on your left arm, and then you fall down.
