Mika's heart skipped a beat, hearing her words.

While he knew her offer of friendship stemmed from her desire to learn about his world-hopping Abilities, he couldn't help but be charmed by her honesty.

She truly understood how to win people over.

He remained silent, turning his back to her as he gazed out the window at the city below.

Saori smiled; she knew he understood her intentions. After all, she had never tried to hide them. She knew that their friendship couldn't be contingent on him taking her to other worlds.

The bond itself was what mattered. Whether he chose to share that part of his life with her was his decision.

Reversing that order would only weaken their friendship.

For Saori, reincarnated countless times to battle Hades, true friendships were rare. While she shared a close bond with the Saints, their reverence created a distance between them.

If she had to name a true friend—it would be Pegasus, her champion, reborn alongside her in each lifetime, fighting by her side against the forces of the Underworld.

And now—there was Mika.

A comfortable silence settled over them as they waited for the next match of the Galaxian Wars to begin.

Jabu, the Unicorn Saint—and Shun, the Andromeda Saint—entered the arena. As their duel commenced, Mika and Saori turned their attention to the battle.

However, as Mika had predicted earlier, it wasn't a fair fight. Shun completely dominated, though not intentionally. He had no desire to fight Jabu, knowing the disparity in their strength.

Unlike the other Saints, driven by ambition for the Sagittarius Gold Cloth—a desire to have the Graad Foundation help them find their loved ones, or simply a refusal to lose, Shun's only motivation for becoming a Saint was to reunite with his brother, Ikki.

Before being sent to train around the world, the one hundred orphans had drawn lots to determine their destinations.

Shun had drawn Death Queen Island—a notoriously dangerous location. Ikki, learning of its perils, had taken his place, promising to return and become a Saint together.

It was this promise that had sustained Shun through his grueling training. Of course, Mika knew that Shun, regardless of his destination, would have become a Saint. After all, he was the reincarnation of Hades.

Therefore, in terms of potential, he was arguably the strongest among the five main Bronze Saints. However, due to his gentle nature—he rarely unleashed his full power, avoiding unnecessary violence whenever possible.

He always fought defensively, especially against those he considered…good. Against true evil, even Shun wouldn't hesitate to attack.

However, Jabu wasn't an enemy. He was a fellow Saint, serving Athena.

Therefore, Shun formed a protective net with his Nebula Chain, his signature defensive tactic, trapping himself within.

Jabu, unable to penetrate his defenses, and constantly bombarded by the chain's counterattacks, quickly found himself at a disadvantage, his body covered in wounds, while Shun remained unharmed.

But the situation soon changed.

Shun's chain trembled, warning him of an approaching danger. He immediately ceased his attack on Jabu, focusing on the chain's warning.

Just then, Seiya and Shiryu, who had been recovering from their earlier brutal duel, arrived. Despite their injuries, they, too, had sensed a strange presence during their battle and had come to investigate.

Shun, guided by his chain's warning, realized the presence was near the Sagittarius Gold Cloth. They all looked towards the display case.

Suddenly, the lights in the arena went out. The next moment, a golden light erupted from the Sagittarius Gold Cloth, and Ikki, the Phoenix Saint, emerged from its container.

"Did Ikki join a magic show during his training? If so, I must say—his entrance is quite impressive," Mika chuckled, watching the scene unfold.

Saori glared at him.

She had been terrified when Ikki appeared, fearing he would steal the Gold Cloth, a treasured memento of her grandfather.

Although she had awakened as Athena, her past experiences still held sway over her emotions.

Sensing her worry, Mika turned to her, a reassuring smile on his face. "Don't worry, I've placed a Nen marker on the Cloth. No matter who steals it, unless they can remove my marker, I can retrieve it instantly with a single thought."

Saori relaxed, hearing his words. 'Indeed, with Mika here, both I and the Gold Cloth are safe.'

The lights flickered back on, revealing Ikki, clad in his Phoenix Cloth, his face hidden by a mask. Although his identity was concealed, the Saints sensed a dark—malevolent aura emanating from him, a palpable hatred that made him seem like the embodiment of Vengeance itself.

Shun, his kind heart unable to comprehend such malice, instinctively launched his Nebula Chain at him.

"Wait, Shun! That's Ikki, the Phoenix Saint!" Seiya and Shiryu shouted.

Before arriving, they had discussed the unusual aura they had sensed during their duel, concluding it belonged to Ikki.

Hearing their warning, Shun's chain changed trajectory, wrapping around Ikki's arm.

"BROTHER!!!" Shun exclaimed, looking at the masked figure.

Ikki responded with a punch, the force of the blow shattering Shun's shoulder guard despite the distance between them.

"Argh!" Shun cried out in pain.

Seiya and Shiryu exchanged puzzled glances.

They couldn't believe Ikki would attack Shun. They knew how much he cared for his younger brother. Could it be that the Saint before them wasn't Ikki after all?

Shun, too, was confused, though his faith in his brother was unwavering.

"No, you're not my brother!" he shouted.

Ikki removed his mask, revealing his face. It was him.

"Long time no see, Shun," he said, his voice cold and hard. "You're still as fragile as ever. In that case—let me offer you as a sacrifice." He leaped towards Shun, his foot drawn back for a kick.

The arena erupted in chaos as Ikki attacked Shun.

"Do you want me to intervene?" Mika asked Saori, turning to her as the crowd's cries reached their ears.

"No." She shook her head. "Ikki is Shun's brother, a childhood friend of Seiya and the others. Whether to save him or—end him, is their decision. As the Graad Foundation—the ones who sent him to that hellish island, we have no right to interfere."

"You speak as a representative of the Graad Foundation? Then what about your role as a Goddess?"

Saori shook her head again.

Until Ikki committed an unforgivable act, he was still her Saint.

And as Athena, she had to remain impartial in disputes between her Saints. Besides, facing Ikki, now consumed by darkness, she didn't feel she had the right to judge him.

After all, it was Mitsumasa Kido who had sent him to Death Queen Island.

However, while she couldn't intervene directly, there was something else she could do.

"Mika, you mentioned developing a Healing Technique using your Cosmo?"

"Indeed," he replied, nodding. He had been exploring various applications of Cosmo, including healing, to compensate for Airmid's absence.

He had combined his knowledge of Airmid's healing Magic with his own Nen-based healing Abilities, creating a new technique. He was quite pleased with its effectiveness and had mentioned it to Saori during one of their conversations.

"Then please—watch over them. I don't want Ikki, or any of the other Saints, to die. Protect them."

"Leave it to me." Mika readily accepted the task; it allowed him to observe the battle without directly interfering.

He wouldn't have refused a direct order to intervene, but that would have been… boring. After all, the difference in their strength was immense. While he enjoyed a good fight, crushing weaker opponents wasn't particularly entertaining.

He walked over to the window, his eyes fixed on the arena below.

As Mika and Saori observed the battle, the situation took an unexpected turn. To Shun's horror, he was sent flying by Ikki's kick.

As Ikki prepared to attack again, Jabu intercepted him.

"Hold on! Shun is my opponent!" He grabbed Ikki's arm, but despite his best efforts, he couldn't budge him. The difference in their strength was evident.

Ikki, annoyed by his persistence—punched him.

Jabu dodged... or so he thought.

"Argh!" A sharp pain shot through his shoulder. He had been hit.

"How…I didn't even see him move—" he murmured, collapsing to the ground, a familiar sense of helplessness washing over him, reminiscent of his brief encounter with Mika.

Seiya and Shiryu, watching from below, were stunned. Jabu had been defeated in a single blow!
