Chapter 201: Chapter [201]
Riser hovered in the air, watching Crom Cruach seek refuge next to Sirzechs. His golden flames burned intensely, illuminating the devastated battlefield, while a cold smile danced on his lips.
"Do you think Sirzechs can protect you, Crom Cruach?"
He knew that, as strong as the dragon was, its confidence was now shaken, making it vulnerable.
ROOOAAAARR!
Trihexa's roar echoed across the battlefield, and Riser turned his attention to the monster, which continued to devastate everything around it. The ground shook with another massive impact as one of Trihexa's tails collided with the earth, raising a cloud of dust and debris.
Sirzechs and Ajuka were locked in full combat with the abomination, but even their combined forces barely managed to contain the destructive fury of the creature. Trihexa's multiple heads spat fire, poison, and energy blasts, forcing the Maous to retreat and shield themselves with magical barriers.
Riser, observing the battle unfold, couldn't help but feel a growing excitement.
"It's time for me to have some fun too," he said to himself before flapping his Phoenix wings and flying directly towards Trihexa.
The air around Riser began to vibrate with the heat of his flames, and in a swift motion, he unleashed a powerful blast of golden fire at one of Trihexa's heads.
FWOOOSH!
The flames struck the monster, enveloped in a radiant glow, but Trihexa barely seemed to feel the impact. One of the heads turned toward Riser, its red eyes glowing with untamed fury.
"That won't work," Trihexa said in a deep, demonic voice, its mouth opening to unleash a torrent of black fire in response.
Riser leaped back, narrowly dodging the attack. He knew the monster was powerful, but his desire to fight only grew.
"Let's see how much you can take," Riser muttered as he intensified his flames.
With a swift movement, Riser advanced, creating a flaming sword in his hands. He launched a direct attack, slashing forcefully at one of Trihexa's heads.
CLANG!
The sound of the impact echoed, but Riser's sword only scratched the monster's scaly skin. Trihexa growled in response, and one of its tails moved swiftly, aiming to strike Riser head-on.
WHAM!
Trihexa's tail hit Riser hard, sending him flying. He was thrown through the air, crashing into a rock formation, cracking it with the impact.
Riser quickly got up, the Phoenix flames enveloping his body, healing any injuries he might have sustained. His eyes shone with determination as he flew back into the fight, his flaming aura growing even more intense.
"You're tough, but you still haven't impressed me!" Riser shouted, unleashing another blast of golden flames at the monster.
Trihexa, with a deafening roar, fired multiple blasts of fire and energy in response, creating an explosion in the air when the attacks collided. Riser skillfully dodged, flying in circles around the creature, looking for an opening.
For a brief moment, Riser managed to strike one of Trihexa's heads, landing a direct hit with his flaming sword. The head recoiled, wounded, but not defeated.
"That must hurt," Riser said with a satisfied smile, but his confidence wavered as Trihexa recovered almost instantly.
"You think you can stop me?" Trihexa growled, its voice filled with disdain as all its heads turned toward Riser.
ROOOOAAAARR!
Trihexa's heads spewed black fire in unison, a massive explosion of power that struck Riser directly, his golden flames being engulfed by the creature's destructive force. Riser tried to resist, but the impact forced him back, his wings frantically beating to stabilize himself.
"Damn..." Riser muttered, his body enveloped in flames as he prepared for another attack. He knew Trihexa was stronger than he'd imagined, but his determination did not falter.
Riser's flames grew again, and he shot toward the monster, dodging its relentless attacks. He moved with speed and precision, landing quick and powerful strikes against Trihexa, but the monster seemed like an endless source of destructive power.
"I have a plan to kill it, but I need time!" Riser shouted as he dodged another tail from Trihexa that whizzed dangerously close to his head.
Sirzechs, still enveloped in his destructive aura, glanced at Riser for a moment before responding.
"Understood, Riser!" Sirzechs replied, his voice firm, as he conjured a barrier of destruction around himself and Ajuka. "We'll hold Trihexa off for as long as we can!"
Ajuka nodded beside Sirzechs, raising his hands to cast a series of complex spells, creating additional magical barriers to contain the monster's fury.
"We don't have much time!" Ajuka said, launching a green light that enveloped one of Trihexa's heads, momentarily immobilizing it. "Do whatever you must, Riser!"
Riser nodded, his body already burning with intense golden flames. He knew this would be his only chance to end the battle once and for all, but he also knew it would come at a high price. The glow of his flames grew, illuminating the entire battlefield, his power increasing exponentially.
Meanwhile, Crom Cruach, sensing the chaos around him and the flames enveloping Riser, began to retreat. 'This battle is lost,' thought the dragon, his wings beating quickly as he tried to distance himself from the fight.
But before he could fully escape, one of Trihexa's gigantic tails struck Crom Cruach with brutal force.
CRAAAAASH!
The impact was devastating, throwing Crom Cruach violently to the ground, cracking the earth beneath his body. The dragon roared in pain, his scaly body struggling to rise.
"I won't... die like this..." murmured Crom Cruach, trying to compose himself.
As Sirzechs and Ajuka continued their battle with Trihexa, their barriers and magical attacks intensifying, Riser felt the moment was coming. His flames, now so intense they could be seen across the entire underworld, began to radiate a light so strong that the night sky, always dark in the underworld, began to brighten as if it were day.
For the first time, the underworld was bathed in light. Riser's golden fire transformed the battlefield into a surreal landscape, with the intense glow dominating everything around. Devils from all parts of the underworld looked to the sky, incredulous at what seemed like the sun shining on the horizon.
Sirzechs, sensing Riser's growing power, glanced at Ajuka with a worried look.
"Ajuka..." Sirzechs said, his voice grave, "whatever he's doing... it might kill us all."
Ajuka, still focused on his spells, nodded firmly. "We have no choice, Sirzechs. If we don't finish Trihexa now, the entire underworld will be destroyed."
Riser, now surrounded by a storm of pure fire, was ready for the final blow. He knew that the explosion of power he was about to release would spare no one, not even Sirzechs, Ajuka, Crom Cruach, or anyone else on the battlefield.
"This is the end," Riser said, his voice filled with determination. "Trihexa, you will be obliterated."
With a final shout, Riser concentrated all of the Phoenix's power into his hands and unleashed a massive blast of golden fire towards Trihexa's heart. The explosion was so intense it engulfed everything around it, the heat unbearable, and the very air seemed to burn with the force of the attack.
BOOOOOOOM!
The light of the explosion blinded everyone around. The destructive impact tore the ground apart, disintegrating Trihexa, Sirzechs, Ajuka, Crom Cruach, and anything else in its path.
For a brief and terrible moment, the underworld was lit up like day, a light that marked the end of everything on the battlefield.
And then, silence.
The underworld returned to its eternal darkness, but the place where the battle had occurred would never be the same. Nothing remained, except the memory of that glow, that fire that burned so intensely that, for an instant, it defied even the natural laws of the underworld.
The heat was unbearable, and the very air around seemed to burn with the intensity of the flames. The blinding light slowly faded, leaving an eerie silence in the place where there had once been a chaotic battlefield.
Riser hovered in the air, his Phoenix wings still crackling with the last sparks of golden fire. He looked down at the scene below, or what remained of it. The ground was completely destroyed, with no signs of life. No bodies, just emptiness and the aftermath of the explosion. The underworld was once again enveloped in darkness.
"This... was the end," Riser murmured to himself, his body slowly descending toward the scorched ground. His feet touched the burned earth, and he stood there, observing what was left of the battlefield.
[Congratulations, you gained 10,000 luck points for Trihexa's death.]
The cold, mechanical voice of the system echoed in his mind.
[You gained 6,000 luck points for Sirzechs' death.]
[You gained 4,000 luck points for Ajuka's death.]
[You gained 3,000 luck points for Crom Cruach's death.]
[You gained 4,350 luck points for the deaths of minor devils.]
[Total luck points: 35,000]
The system delivered the numbers with precision, and Riser smiled slightly upon hearing the accumulated value. The power and influence these points would bring him were incalculable. He was stronger than ever, and, for a moment, a sense of satisfaction filled his chest.
"35,000 luck points... This will be useful," Riser murmured as his golden flames slowly extinguished around him, leaving only the faint glow of his aura. He turned and began walking through the rubble, his steps echoing in the absolute silence.
'Now that Sirzechs and Ajuka are out of the way, who can stand against me?' Riser thought, a cold smile growing on his face.
