Chapter 193: Chapter [193]
Riser watched the woman disappear among the ruins for a brief moment before turning his attention back to the chaotic scene around him.
"I need to find the other dragons before they cause more destruction," Riser murmured to himself, his eyes narrowing as he scanned the horizon with a calculating gaze. He could sense the presence of the Evil Dragons in the distance, their malevolent energies pulsating like dark stains on the magical fabric of the city.
As he advanced through the ruins, Riser remained alert, his sharpened senses searching for any sign of the remaining dragons. He knew time was crucial, and every second counted in saving what was left of Lilith.
"There!" Riser exclaimed as he felt a strong malevolent presence approaching.
On the other side of the destroyed street, emerging from the shadows of a ruined building, appeared a monstrous figure. This dragon was different from the Ice Dragon Riser had faced earlier. Its appearance was grotesque.
A body composed entirely of dark, cursed bones, with greenish flames dancing between its ribs and orbiting around its hollow skull. The Bone Dragon exuded an aura of pure death, and each movement of its noisy wings seemed to bring with it the lament of lost souls.
"A Bone Dragon... Perfect," Riser whispered.
He immediately summoned his flames, the same ones that had consumed the Ice Dragon earlier.
"Let's see if you can withstand this," Riser said confidently, launching a massive burst of fire directly at the Bone Dragon.
WHOOSH!
The flames surged forward with fury, hitting the dragon with all of Riser's might. However, to his surprise, the fire that had been so devastating against the Ice Dragon seemed to have no effect on the Bone Dragon. The orange-red flames danced around the dragon's bones but did not consume them. Instead, the fire appeared to be absorbed by the greenish flames that already inhabited the creature, intensifying them even further.
"My fire is ineffective against it?" Riser murmured, his face contorting in an expression of frustration. The Bone Dragon advanced toward him, its jaws open, revealing rows of sharp bone teeth, ready to tear through anything in its path.
'If I increase my fire magic, I might end up burning the entire city,' Riser thought, looking at the flames around him and realizing the delicacy of the situation.
As he pondered his next strategy, Riser noticed a group of devils who, instead of fleeing, were standing around, filming the battle with their devices. Riser's eyes narrowed in frustration at the recklessness of those he was trying to protect.
"What are you doing there?!" Riser shouted, his voice reverberating with unquestionable authority. "Get out of here now!"
The devils, caught off guard by Riser's reprimand, hesitated for a moment but soon began to retreat, still holding their devices as they ran away. Even in panic, some continued filming, as if they couldn't resist the temptation to record the scene for DevilNet.
The Bone Dragon, taking advantage of the brief moment of distraction, charged at Riser, its jaws ready to strike. However, Riser was prepared. He quickly stepped back, narrowly avoiding the attack, and began to plan a new approach.
"No more games," Riser muttered, his patience wearing thin. He raised his right hand, concentrating his magical energy. "I'll use the Commandment of Love."
The aura around Riser began to change drastically. A dense, dark energy began to emanate from his body, enveloping him completely. The black aura seemed alive, pulsating with an almost tangible force. As it expanded, the energy immensely increased Riser's physical strength, making the very air around him vibrate with intensity. The ruined city around him seemed to bow to the overwhelming presence of this dark energy.
The Bone Dragon hesitated for a brief moment, its keen perception sensing the change in the atmosphere. The creature growled, its green flames flickering more intensely, as if preparing to face this new threat.
Riser, now completely enveloped in the black aura of the Commandment of Love, quickly advanced toward the Bone Dragon. He extended his right arm, concentrating even more energy into his fist, the black aura twisting and forming spirals around his arm until it condensed into a solid and powerful form.
He delivered a direct blow, channeling all the power of the Commandment of Love into his fist.
The impact was devastating.
THOOOM!
The Shadow Punch struck the Bone Dragon with crushing force, the black energy expanding in all directions around the point of impact. The dragon, which had previously seemed imposing and unshakable, was thrown back like a leaf in the wind, unable to withstand the brutal power of the attack.
The Bone Dragon was sent flying through the air, its enormous body colliding with a building in the distance. The impact was so violent that the entire building trembled before collapsing into a heap of rubble.
CRAAAAASH!
The sound of the collapse echoed throughout the city, a clear demonstration of Riser's overwhelming strength. The creature, despite its resilience, was severely damaged, its bones cracked, and its green flames flickering weakly.
Suddenly, the ground around Riser began to tremble violently. "Trying something new?" Riser murmured to himself, standing firm as he felt the earth beneath his feet shake. Then, giant bones began to emerge from the ground like sharp spears, attempting to surround him and prevent him from moving.
"A pathetic trick," Riser said, his tone filled with contempt.
The Bone Dragon, realizing that its first charge had been neutralized, gathered its remaining strength for a desperate attack. With a fierce roar, it opened its jaws and launched a barrage of greenish flames directly at Riser. The attack, fueled by the creature's rage and desperation, cut through the air in a devastating arc.
Riser did not hesitate.
"Soru."
He said calmly, and in an instant, his body disappeared from the spot.
SHOOM!
The greenish flames struck the spot where Riser had been moments before, but he had already materialized behind the Bone Dragon, his expression impassive.
Before the Bone Dragon could react, Riser raised his hand, summoning the power of the shadows around him. The black aura that enveloped his body began to expand, growing in intensity and size. The shadows solidified, taking the form of a gigantic, monstrous hand made entirely of pulsating darkness.
The shadowy hand advanced with terrifying speed, grabbing the Bone Dragon with crushing force. The creature, caught by surprise, tried to struggle, its wings flapping frantically, and its green flames intensifying in an attempt to break free.
"It's the end for you."
The giant hand, fueled by the power of the shadows, began to squeeze with increasing force, the creature's bones creaking under the relentless pressure. The black aura writhed around the Bone Dragon like hungry serpents, suffocating any resistance the creature could muster.
CRUNCH!
The sound of bones being crushed echoed throughout the city, followed by a roar of pain from the dragon. The shadowy hand continued to squeeze until the creature's body began to disintegrate, its bones breaking into smaller pieces under the crushing force.
SMASH!
With one final, devastating squeeze, the giant hand completely crushed the Bone Dragon, reducing it to fragments and dust. The green flames that had enveloped the creature flickered one last time before being extinguished forever, leaving only silence and the distant sound of debris falling to the ground.
Riser observed the result of his victory, the shadowy hand slowly fading away as he stood tall in the center of the destruction.
"One more for the count," he said, his eyes still sharp, scanning for any other sign of danger.
"Up here, you filthy devil!" an arrogant voice echoed from above, breaking the silence that had settled after the Bone Dragon's defeat.
Riser looked up at the sky, only to see a demonic figure, humanoid in appearance, launching itself in a descending kick. The creature was a grotesque hybrid, a fusion between human and dragon, with black scales covering its body, sharp claws on its hands and feet, and skeletal wings that still vibrated from the momentum of the attack.
Riser remained motionless, calmly watching the creature's movement. At the exact moment when the kick was about to strike him, he raised his arm, blocking the attack with impressive ease.
CLANG!
The impact was strong, but Riser didn't budge an inch. The metallic sound echoed as the creature's leg collided against the invisible barrier Riser had raised with his magic. The hybrid growled in frustration, its fiery eyes showing growing anger as it realized its attack had been ineffective.
"Is that the best you can do?" Riser said with a tone of disdain, pushing the creature's leg aside and forcing it to retreat in the air. The hybrid stumbled back, its wings flapping uncontrollably as it tried to regain its balance.
