Chapter 13: Itachi vs?(3)
Once the introductions were complete, everyone turned their attention to Itachi.
"And you are?" Rias asked, her eyes narrowing slightly. "What kind of Sacred Gear are those eyes?" she added, her voice laced with curiosity and greed.
Itachi crossed his arms, his expression unreadable. He spoke slowly, deliberately.
"My name is Itachi Uchiha," he said. "I was once a ninja of the Hidden Leaf Village, a place where humans capable of using chakra—superior to senjutsu—live."
[30,000 shock points gained]
"I am currently part of an organization called Akatsuki. And these are not Sacred Gear but a bloodline," Itachi explained, activating his Sharingan.
[50,000 shock points gained]
Rias and Sona exchanged a glance, surprised by his directness. Even Akeno's usual smirk faltered.
"We humans can use chakra, and it is far stronger than Senjutsu."
Koneko flinched at the mention of Senjutsu, her expression darkening slightly. Rias noticed this and placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder, though her gaze remained fixed on Itachi.
"Can you demonstrate?" Sona asked, her curiosity overcoming her usual calm demeanor.
With blinding speed, Itachi formed hand signs and activated his Sharingan.
Boom! He disappeared from his spot, the distinct sound of birds chirping echoing through the air. Grayfia, the only one capable of following his movements, reacted instantly.
Ice spears materialized in her hands as she sliced toward Itachi's body.
Using his Sharingan, Itachi deftly dodged her attack, his reflexes razor-sharp. In one fluid motion, his hand, covered in crackling lightning, severed the ice sword. Before she could react, his electrified hand stopped mere inches from Grayfia's chest.
The broken pieces of the ice sword landed near Issei, who collapsed to the ground in fear, his face pale. He let out a small yelp, and, in his terror, wet himself.
"Why stop?" Grayfia asked, cold mist escaping her lips. The proximity between the two was tense, their bodies almost touching.
"For the same reason you stopped," Itachi replied calmly, his gaze unwavering. Grayfia's other hand was poised with another sword, its tip pressed against Itachi's heart.
For a brief moment, her eyes widened in surprise. Their gazes locked, an unspoken acknowledgment of the danger between them.
"So, you sought to kill a noble devil here?" she questioned, her voice icy, but her grip unwavering.
Itachi chuckled lightly. "Think again," he replied.
He glanced briefly at the broken ice sword that lay dangerously close to Issei, noting how recklessness could have shifted the situation against him. It was clear that Grayfia had been seconds away from striking a fatal blow.
He considered his actions carefully. He thought Why not directly confront Rias and Sona and demonstrate his power by pointing the newly purchased Chidori at one of them? But his earlier decision has nearly cost him his life—a humbling lesson.
He looked at the shop and purchased 3 tails chakra at 3,000,0000 points.
Suddenly, red chakra began emanating from Itachi's body, thick and overwhelming in its intensity. The sheer density of the chakra made Koneko collapse to the ground, her face flushed as she struggled to endure something.
Grayfia's eyes trembled as she observed the chakra—it was dense and filled with Senjutsu, though only one-tenth the size of the Nine-Tails' chakra (DXD world nine tails). The energy began to envelop Itachi, forming the outline of three tails with clawed hands.
Her sword, though powerful, was now meeting resistance. The chakra layer pushed her blade back slightly before it began to cut through the energy.
Though her weapon retained its sharpness, the chakra provided Itachi enough time to avoid a fatal blow. Grayfia tightened her grip, her disbelief evident. She could not fathom that a human had nearly killed her.
Similarly, Itachi was in shock. He, too, had underestimated her and narrowly avoided death. For a moment, he reflected deeply.
Why do villains always lose? he wondered after all his character was also villain in Naruto series.
It became clear to him now—arrogance and underestimating their opponents were their greatest flaws. Too often, they failed to use their full power at critical moments.
From that moment, Itachi made a vow to himself: he would not make the same mistakes. Whenever he encountered an equally powerful opponent, he would begin with his strongest techniques—Tsukuyomi, black flames, or even his Susano'o—without hesitation.
This was a lesson he would never forget.
