Chapter 2 – My First time in Another World
Two hundred years ago, terrible wars devastated the Earth. Approximately 100 million humans survived, leaving the world desolate with only a few cities scattered around.
However, the wars brought discoveries and advances that were previously unimaginable. The gathering of many of these advances was patented as the "Primordial System".
Since the beginning of humanity, humans have always been born with genetic preferences and talents. While some are born with the skills to be warriors, others are born with the skills to sew. With a very limited amount of manpower, people in the new post-war world no longer had time to figure out what they were good at, because humanity had to work in order not to collapse. That's exactly where the "Primordial System" came in again.
The developers created the "Primordial System" with the intention of assisting humans in all aspects, and they soon discovered in the first volunteer that the "Primordial System" could not only assist the human but also determine what the human should and shouldn't focus on doing.
That's how the Systems spread around the world, determining the professions that humans should follow for the rest of their lives.
I hated it, I really did. Although I was good at it, I never wanted to be a ruins explorer, which is why I was so happy when I finally changed systems even though I didn't know what I was going to do.
However, as much as I still hoped to become a warrior, I was about to discover that the wonders of the world were much more than holding a sword and killing monsters.
[Congratulations, Leonard! "Multiversal Romantic Scripter System" has been successfully installed!]
[You have acquired the following skills...]
[You obtained <Transparent Link>! ]
[You obtained <Predator's Touch>!]
[You obtained <Melodious Voice>!]
[You obtained <Carnal Bond>! ]
[You obtained <Crack>!]
The series of messages I heard in sequence stunned me a little, mainly because I didn't know what they did. However, this was neither the time nor the place to stop and read. I grabbed my bag, put it on my back and concentrated on getting out of the Cave of Greed before anything else.
The journey might have been more challenging without my maps to help me, but I remembered the paths I had taken, including the ones I had used to avoid encounters with monsters.
So even I, with my attributes reset to 5 points each, managed to get out of that cave.
After I returned to Republic City, and was safe behind its great walls, I had more time to finally study what my new system did.
In general, most systems had basic functions, such as telling you how much life you had and how much stamina. For mages, it also reported how much mana. What really differentiated the systems from each other were the skills. The skills were all that mattered.
"First, I'll check what <Melodious Voice> does."
+
[Skill: Melodious Voice]
Description: This skill will allow you to use your voice to calm creatures and people, promoting harmony in the environment.
Effects: Stuns the target and nullifies any effect that is afflicting the target, whether this effect is emotional or magical.
Rating: Unique
Requirement: None.
+
"This skill is... useful. I can use it to calm someone down, but honestly, it looks like a nerfed version of that skill called <Intimidating Roar> that I once saw a policeman use on the street." I vented aloud. "Let's move on to the next skill."
+
[Skill: Carnal Bond]
Description: When you reach an elevated degree of emotional bonding with someone and have sex, it grants a temporary increase in all your attributes.
(Warning! The increase will depend on how much pleasure you give your partner. If the relationship is recurring, a lower percentage increase may be granted permanently).
Effects: Boost.
Rating: Unique.
Requirement: Have more than six hearts with the target (Read about the <Transparent Link> skill for more details).

"This skill... Hehe~... Wait, I know the name of this system is a bit strange, but this system allows me to get stronger by... having sex?! That's amazing!" I said it out loud without telling myself and immediately regretted it.
I was in my room at the Explorers' Association lodge and, although the walls were thick, my neighbors could still hear me if I spoke too loudly.
"Right, that skill does sound good! I want to try it out!" I said confidently, but the sad truth was that I had never even had sex.
Until I was 18, my life was all about studying and, after that, I had to work hard as an explorer to try to pay off my debts. And in the ruins it wasn't common to meet other explorers, let alone girls. It also meant that my only friends were still those from school, in fact the only one with whom I sometimes exchanged messages.
"Okay, Leo. You need to focus... There are more skills."
To my surprise, all the other skills had to do with sex and relationships.
<Transparent Link> allowed me to measure my level of relationship with people using hearts as a metric. If I had zero hearts with someone, it meant I had no affection for them; if I had six, it was a great friendship with benefits. Enmities would begin when I lost hearts with the person to the point of becoming negative.
Meanwhile, the skill <Predator's Touch> would allow me to temporarily steal someone's skill, but only if I kissed or had sex. My duration with the skill would also depend on how much pleasure I could give that person.
They were wonderful skills, but where would I get people to relate to?
When I scrolled down to the bottom of my system's skills window and saw the icon for the skill called <Crack>, I frowned. The name was different from the others, and the icon was a feather very similar to the one that allowed me to change systems.
As soon as I tapped on the icon, a sudden surge of astonishment washed over me as a shimmering golden feather materialized right in the palm of my right hand. Swiftly, I closed my fingers around it and, almost simultaneously, a window popped up, vividly describing the newfound skill.
+
[Skill: Crack]
Description: Magic is transcendental to time and space, able to connect easily and create bridges between different worlds, realities and universes. Using the item provided by this skill, you, and only you, will be able to create multiversal portals between worlds in which there is magic, simply by writing the name of the world you wish to travel to in the air.
Effects: Travel.
Rating: Unique.
Requirement: Be a holder of the Multiversal Romance System and be in possession of the Divine Feather of Eros.

More than ever, I was stunned. Of course, I wasn't going to believe it so easily, because I knew what the word "multiversal" meant, I knew how powerful that word was.
Firstly, just the idea of there being other worlds seemed crazy. Besides, any world that possessed magic? Did that even include fictional worlds? No, it couldn't be. It was impossible. Still, I raised my hand to write down the name of my favorite anime...
As mentioned, I used to be a nerd during my teenage years. When I wasn't studying, I was watching anime, so I knew thousands of them.
Konosuba, Slime Datta Ken, Kaiju Number 8, Fairy Tail, Naruto... I knew all the anime that survived the wars. So I had plenty of options, but there was one that I wanted to visit more than the others.
I raised the golden quill and wrote in all caps: High School DxD.
The golden letters floating in the air exploded into particles and a portal began to form before my eyes. When the portal opened fully, I could see the blue sky and, in contrast, Kuoh Academy with its large windows and architecture that... Ah! It didn't matter! I really could travel to that world full of hot girls!
