Chapter 156: DxD 0156: Humbling
"How about you attend school with us, Abaddon?" Rias asked Abaddon while dressing up. He was still in bed with Aika and Xenovia treating him to a double-duty service while Sona was getting ready in her room and Akeno was in his shower that Rias had just come out of.
"What's the point?" He asked, resting his head on his hands and admiring the view of his sexy redhead girl dressing up.
"Because it's the last day of school. Summer break starts today, we aren't going to go for around two months after this," Rias said, putting on her underwear, much to Abaddon's dismay.
"You guys can enjoy, I'll stay home and have some fun with … Everyone is going to go to school, aren't they?"
"That's why I asked," Rias said with a smile. "Xenovia and Irina have already been enrolled." Next, she put on the uniform shirt followed by pulling up the skirt.
"No, there is one person left," Abaddon's eyes brightened. "Ophie. I'll spend time with her. I promised to show her around Kuoh, so I'll do that."
Rias gave him a nasty side-eye as she tied the corset over her shirt and arranged her uniform, "Why can't you just come to school?"
"It's boring," Abaddon said, refusing to elaborate further.
Rias sighed, bending over to pull on her loafers, "Fine, can you at least come by the clubroom at noon? We need to prepare for the journey to the underworld. The train leaves tonight."
"No teleporter?" Abaddon asked.
"It's a first time for a lot of our respective servants. It's better if we go by the official channels," Rias said. "Plus, the journey is going to be half the fun."
"Whatever you say," Abaddon shrugged. "I'll meet you at your club room sometime after school ends."
…
Abaddon burst into Ophis' bedroom and saw her expressionlessly looking at the TV while sitting on the couch. She turned to look at him as he approached her.
"Let's go, Ophis," he said, sitting beside her. "I'm taking you out to sightsee Kuoh today."
"Once it finishes," the Infinite Dragon God said, turning her head back to the TV. Abaddon finally glanced at what interested Ophis so much. It was a repeat of a concert performed by an indie idol trope.
"Sure, I guess," Abaddon shrugged and put his arms under Ophis before picking her up and bringing her to his lap. She gave him a curious look as he spoke, "I'm not into it, so I would rather distract myself with other means." Unresponsive, she turned back to the TV and raised the volume a little.
[Try not to get yourself killed. You are the only host I've ever had who truly stands the chance to create a dragon heart.]
[And here I thought you were finally starting to care about me.] Abaddon inwardly chuckled at Draig's words. He heard the dragon snort in his head as the spirit seemed to go to sleep.
On the other hand, Abaddon put his hand on Ophis' head, combing his fingers through her unrealistically soft hair. And rested the other palm on her stomach. As tempted as he was to directly attack her bare breasts that had nothing more than two pasties in the shapes of Xs, he wanted to ease the dragon into it. Unlike his other girls, Ophis could easily wipe him out of existence.
"You can act on your desires," she seemed to read his thoughts as he lightly rubbed her belly. "Good practice to make draconic energy accept you fully."
"You can tell?" Abaddon asked.
"Your energy reflects your emotions," she said. Abaddon had been releasing Draconic Energy to make Ophis comfortable with his presence from the very moment he entered her room.
"So you can read my feelings from the energy that I release?" he asked, surprised. As for his hand that was on her belly, Abaddon didn't act courteously, embracing his desires. He trailed his hand over the knotted fabric that kept Ophis' wholly inadequate outfit together and cupped her breast — or lack thereof.
Ophis didn't reply as Abaddon lightly squeezed her chest and teased her. Her silence was enough of an answer to Abaddon's previous question.
"You're bigger than Koneko … even though it doesn't look that way," he commented as he continued squeezing and massaging her breasts. Inwardly, he was wondering why Ophis was being so accommodating with him.
"I'm curious to see whether you can condense a Dragon Heart," she said dryly, still unresponsive as Abaddon continued massaging both her breasts.
Seeing Ophis read him like an open book confused Abaddon about the extent of how much of his thoughts and feelings were being infused in the Draconic Energy that he was freely releasing for Ophis.
"Not that," she said. "The state of energy reflects your feelings. When you act freely, it is empowered and energized. When you hold back, it is damp and weak. Right now, it feels empowered."
"There's really a lot to explore about Draconic Energy …" Abaddon mumbled, continuing to massage Ophis' breasts. "Demonic Energy, on the other hand, seems like such an inferior energy in front of it."
"Only somewhat inferior. Demonic energy has its own unique properties," Ophis said, unconsciously leaning back and comfortably resting her head on Abaddon as he finally stopped combing her hair and brought his other hand to her chest as well.
"Is that so …" Abaddon hummed. "I've never heard about Draconic energy being used for any purposes other than as fuel for Demonic magic and abilities."
Ophis didn't say anything in response, presumably done with her speech quota for the day. As the idol concert continued playing, Abaddon brought his focus on Ophis' breasts, paying attention to how he was squeezing and massaging her chest. Eventually, the group that was performing exited, but Ophis still showed no signs of moving.
"How do you feel about this, Ophis?" Abaddon asked. "When I squeeze you like this, do you feel anything?"
"Feel …" Abaddon had the illusion that Ophis' ever-present blank expression had intensified even further as if embodying the '?'. She spoke after a while, "Good," nodding as if satisfied with her answer. She then moved her legs a little and curled them up on the couch.
Abaddon was left speechless as he kept going, "How about when I do this?" He squeezed a little rougher.
"Still good."
"How about now?" He pinched the skin on her breasts.
"Mm …" She nodded.
Abaddon gave up. The girl didn't seem to be in the mood to talk much.
Draig snorted in his head, [Ophis has never been the talkative kind. You should be grateful that she is willing to entertain you despite your impudence.]
[Yeah, yeah, whatever.] Abaddon didn't pay much attention to Draig's words. It was clear that the Heavenly Dragon's view of Ophis was skewed.
Instead, he changed tactics and made himself somewhat comfortable while continuing to play with the Infinite Dragon God's body. Despite her non-reactive nature, she had agreed that she felt good from his actions.
As time passed, the second group left, and Ophis still didn't show any signs of moving. She instead made herself even more comfortable. Abaddon realized that he probably wasn't going to take her out to explore Kuoh for the day.
She didn't say anything to dispute his thoughts either.
"Say, Ophis," Abaddon said. "How about I practice passing Draconic Energy into your body?"
She didn't say anything, making him elaborate, "I try to feed Draconic Energy to my girls to get them the necessary benefits, but I haven't been able to practice it very well on them because of its overwhelming nature. Especially after the power-up. With you, I would be able to understand it better. What do you say?"
Ophis still didn't say anything to him. Though, instead, she grabbed one of his hands that was massaging her breasts and pulled it up to her face. She wrapped her lips around his finger and gave a light suck.
"Fuck …" Abaddon couldn't help but gasp as he felt that Ophis was sucking away his energy at an insane pace. He felt like he would dry out before the second even passed, but that was when he received some feedback from her. That energy returned to his body, seemingly in the same state as it had entered Ophis. If there were any changes, he couldn't identify them.
Abaddon had to take a few breaths to calm himself as Ophis continued sucking in his energy and feeding it back to him, forming a constant loop. Once he got his bearings, he finally realized the situation. His other hand had dropped from Ophis' chest to her thigh while she kept her lips wrapped around his finger. As he identified that Ophis was moving his energy around in a specific cycle, he brought his focus to it.
"So that's it …" Abaddon realized what he'd been missing. The manner in which his energy passed through Ophis' body was mirroring the way it moved through his own body. The cycle was perfectly symmetric in nature as the energy passed through each and every section of his body before flowing from the tip of his finger to Ophis, where it followed the exact same path, scaled to the size of Ophis' body. He then noticed the cycle getting simpler. Instead of cycling along every single part of their bodies, the energy merely moved through their blood vessels. The cycle then simplified further, merely flowing the energy through their organs before it finally simplified enough to flow from his heart to Ophis' heart and went back and forth.
As the control over his energy started lessening, Abaddon realized what Ophis wanted him to do. He attempted to take control of Draconic Energy in his usual manner. It listened instantly and far more fluidly than ever before. He realized that Ophis was still guiding him as he took control of the energy.
Almost an hour passed as Ophis slowly gave him more and more control over the flow.
Abaddon was fully focused on the energy's movements, not diverting his attention anywhere as Ophis finally gave up full control, allowing Abaddon to move his energy by himself. She went as far as to suppress her aura so that the energy would act in its usual manner. The difference was instant. The previously obedient energy, without the presence of the Infinite Dragon God, instantly turned unruly and started diverting from its path. It was almost impossible for Abaddon to maintain the cycle without Ophis' intervention.
He didn't give up, however. Instead, he lowered the output of energy. Instead of cycling his entire energy reserves through Ophis, he lessened it down to a small fraction of the previous quantity. That was when he was barely able to make the Draconic Energy move according to his whims. Even then, the flow was barely qualified to be called a flow. Unlike with Ophis where the energy seemed to perfectly flow, for Abaddon, it was moving slowly while constantly moving around and attempting to turn away as he fixed its path.
'To think I consider my energy control impeccable …' Abaddon felt humbled, realizing that Draconic Energy was going to take him at least a few years before he could use it in actual combat to boost his abilities.
