DxD: I'm Surrounded by Big Sister Devils!

Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Domain Expansion? Shut It Down!

With a casual flick, Keikain Fukuki sent Sukuna flying back, then turned to look at the sword-wielding girl beside him, who was just starting to recover from her shock.

"I'll handle this guy with the superhero syndrome. That bald one over there is yours, Saeko-senpai."

"Got it."

Without hesitation, Saeko Busujima let her abundant cursed energy, befitting a Grade 1 Sorcerer, rise and extend along her blade. Taking a "Seigan" stance from kendo, she faced off against the Cursed Womb: Finger Bearer.

Despite having known the boy for less than an hour, she instinctively placed absolute trust in him, even turning her back to him without concern.

How strange.

She couldn't help but internally critique herself. Tightening her grip on her katana, she leaped down from the rubble, slicing through a cursed energy blast mid-air—one that had previously reduced Yuji Itadori to little more than a human pinball.

Meanwhile, Fukuki strolled over unhurriedly toward Sukuna, who had slid meters away from the impact.

"So, you're Sukuna. Perfect, I've got some questions for you. Hopefully, your fragmented soul hasn't caused memory loss."

Not waiting for a response, the boy continued, "Since you're a sorcerer from a thousand years ago, you should know about the Onmyōji Abe no Seimei..."

"Shut up!"

As if triggered by the mention of a sensitive topic, Sukuna roared, his cursed energy exploding outward into sharp waves that shredded the ground. However, the destructive energy stopped just short of Fukuki, as if it had hit an invisible wall.

"See? So impatient."

The boy shrugged.

"Your reaction confirms my theory. Judging by your attitude when I mentioned Abe no Seimei, it seems the Shogunate of ancient Japan brought you into Heian-kyō to oppose Seimei, who had completely embraced the role of a ruler of malevolent spirits. But judging by the outcome...you lost, didn't you?"

Sukuna remained silent.

"What, were you completely thrashed?"

Fukuki couldn't hold back a laugh, mocking Sukuna without reservation.

Sometimes, silence is the most telling response.

After a moment of stillness, Sukuna inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly.

"How irritating… A thousand years, and Onmyōji are still as insufferable as ever. It seems the newer generation is particularly disrespectful."

"You, a two-bit thug, are lecturing me on manners?" Fukuki shot back mercilessly.

This time, Sukuna said nothing, but his hands formed a sequence of hand signs. The oppressive, icy killing intent surged around him like a tidal wave.

He went straight for his trump card.

"Domain Expansion: Malevolent Shrine!"

The atmosphere rippled like water, and a thick, otherworldly cursed energy filled the area. The indoor pool scenery dissolved, replaced by an expansive black lake. Its depths were so dark that even the sunlight above failed to illuminate the surface.

At the edge of the lake, a crimson shrine with gaping, toothy maws erupted from the ground.

"Not bad, not bad..."

Fukuki raised an eyebrow, nodding as if appraising the work.

"Well, I've never been a fan of most jujutsu sorcerers, but I'll admit that the essence of cursed energy is similar to Onmyōji's spiritual energy—or even magical energy. It's all the same thing, really. I think the scientific term is 'aether,' a fusion of physical stamina and mental energy to create miracles."

"As for this domain… Ah, I see. Its principle is to fill the space with your cursed energy, enabling you to activate techniques at will. But an open-style domain like this must consume a massive amount of cursed energy, right? Like running an air conditioner with all the windows and doors open in summer."

"Sure, you could just use overwhelming spiritual energy to seize control of the domain, like covering the entire board in Go with your own pieces. But there's a much more efficient way to handle it—just lock the enemy away."

With that, the boy snapped his fingers.

Hadō #90. Kurohitsugi(Black Coffin)

At his words, a massive black casket rose from the edge of the lake, directly in front of the shrine. With a thunderous crash, it encapsulated Sukuna, cutting him off entirely.

Maximum light-blocking.

Maximum soundproofing.

Maximum signal jamming.

The Black Coffin's six walls severed Sukuna's control over his cursed energy. The domain, no longer tethered to its source, rapidly crumbled. The crimson shrine in the background disintegrated along with it, vanishing into thin air.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Not a Crossover with Bleach: The Hadō #90: Kurohitsugi (黒棺, Black Coffin) mentioned here? It's just spiritual energy shaped into the form of a black coffin. There's no connection to Bleach.
