Chapter 109: Chapter 109: With Mortal Flesh, Slaying the Gods
Ignoring Apollo's words, Blake simply extended his hand forward. In an instant, a crimson light flashed, and a long spear appeared in his grip.
Upon closer inspection, the spear was entirely dark red. However, its tip wasn't singular; rather, it split into two prongs, resembling parallel lines extending outward like a fork.
Tightly gripping this forked, dark-red spear, Blake suddenly accelerated his pace.
"Damn it, you arrogant insect!"
Seeing the murderous determination in Blake's eyes, Apollo's expression darkened with fury. In a flash, waves of radiant divine energy began surging from his body.
The sudden burst of power rivaled that of Ottar, Orario's sole Level 7 adventurer—and it was rapidly growing stronger.
But for Blake, it was already too late.
At that moment, Blake activated Ittou Shura alongside his enhancement magic and Ariel skill, pushing his body beyond its natural limits. His power surged to a level strong enough to suppress even the mightiest High-Class Devil.
"Whoosh—!"
Blake spun his dark-red spear, executing a dazzling flourish. Before Apollo could react, Blake became a streak of crimson lightning, slicing through the air with a fierce, piercing wind as he thrust the weapon toward the god.
"Pssh—!"
The familiar sound of flesh being pierced echoed in the air.
Apollo's divine defenses, though formidable, were shredded like paper. The spear penetrated his chest, destroying his heart.
"—!"
Apollo opened his mouth as if to scream, but no sound came out. His eyes widened in disbelief, staring at Blake.
"Buzz—!"
Though gravely wounded, Apollo's divine power instinctively surged to preserve his life. The protective aura burst from within him, breaking the divine seal entirely to sustain his existence.
Brilliant light began flowing through Apollo's body, rekindling the dimmed radiance in his eyes.
"Hum—!"
However, in that instant, the dark-red spear impaling Apollo's heart began to tremble. It erupted with a blinding crimson glow, brighter than the divine light surging through him.
Under the spear's overwhelming glow, the divine energy shrouding Apollo trembled violently before being forcibly dispelled.
The crimson radiance surged into Apollo's body, tearing into his very existence.
"Ahhhhh—!"
Apollo's scream was one of sheer agony.
Blake watched coldly, indifferent to his suffering. He poured the last of his magic into the spear, leaving nothing in reserve.
This spear bore a name known to all:
The Spear of Longinus.
A weapon famously recorded in religious texts as the lance that pierced the Son of God.
Because of this legend, the spear held the power to harm and even kill gods. It was also known as the God-Slaying Spear.
Its ability was simple: the greater the target's divinity, the more devastating its power.
For Apollo, a god of high standing, his overwhelming divinity sealed his fate.
Bathed in crimson light, Apollo's agonized cries echoed through the night as his body disintegrated into particles of light, gradually vanishing.
Apollo was dead.
Even in death, Apollo likely couldn't comprehend how he had met his end at the hands of a mortal.
"Cough, cough… so I overexerted myself, huh?"
After Apollo's demise, the Spear of Longinus in Blake's hand dissipated into dark-red particles of light and vanished. Blake, pale and weakened, coughed heavily as his body threatened to collapse.
Ittou Shura was already a skill that pushed the body to its limits, granting overwhelming power for only one minute. Moreover, Blake had simultaneously used enhancement magic and Ariel, further burdening himself.
"Still… I need to deal with the aftermath."
Even in his frail state, Blake forced himself to endure the unbearable exhaustion. He used a vial of corpse-dissolving liquid he had purchased to erase all traces of Apollo's remaining followers.

"Master, you've worked so hard. Are you alright?"
Noticing Blake's pale and haggard appearance, Sia spoke with deep concern.
"I'm fine," Blake replied weakly, feeling a warm sense of gratitude at her words.
In his current state, he was so drained that even fighting a Level 3 adventurer would be difficult.
"Good thing I bought the high-grade recovery potion. Otherwise, I'd have to wait three hours for the aftereffects to wear off before I could move again."
Taking a bottle of potion from his pocket, Blake downed it without hesitation. As the liquid coursed through him, he felt his strength gradually return, along with some replenishment of his depleted magic.
Letting out a relieved sigh, Blake murmured to himself, "Fifty thousand valis for this potion is steep, but it was worth every coin in the end."
After all, returning in such a weakened state meant being vulnerable to ambushes along the way—an outcome he couldn't afford.
"Mm-hmm, Master, that's good to hear," Sia said, visibly relieved and overjoyed to see that Blake was truly fine.
Dragging his fatigued body, Blake quietly made his way back to Orario, doing his best to avoid encountering anyone.
