dxd daughter of Amaterasu

Hikari walks into the dining room still in her pajamas, not dressed for school at all.

*yawn* she stretches as she sits down at the table and begins to eat breakfast.

" Are you planning on skipping school Hikari. " Asks Mushu as he looks Hikari up and down before sighing.

" mmh well I didn't get a lot of sleep yesterday, so I think I'm going to sleep in for a bit longer before going to school. " She says tiredly as she eats her food while looking half awake.

Mushu just nods before flying off.

' I wonder if anything interesting happened last night with the orc club. ' I continue to enjoy my meal until it is interrupted by a knock on the door.

*knock**knock*

' huh someone is at my door I wonder who it is. ' I set my food down and get up and walk over to the door and open it to see who it was.

Once I open the door I see a familiar blonde haired fallen angel. ' mittelt what is she doing here? '

She looks me up and down looking at my dishelved hair to my tired eyes and my pajamas. " I can come back another time. " Mittlet says in a blunt voice.

I open the door so she can enter. " nah now is a good time just take a seat over and I'll be back just give me a sec. " I point to a cushion on the floor next to the table as I head into my room.

"Also, if you see a small red dragon don't worry about him."

"Dragon?" says Mittlet in surprise as she quickly looks over the room for the dragon.

' Man, if I knew somebody was going to come over, I would have got dressed. ' I was not expecting for her to show up today. I hastily put on my school uniform and in the process, I step on one of the anime figures I had laying around. I feel a sharp pain in my foot.

''FUCK'' i yell out as I fall face first into the floor while smacking into the side of my desk on the way down.

*bang*

*thump*

"Oooowwww"

Shortly after that incident I finished getting dressed and headed down the stairs, I entered the living room and saw Mushu and mittlet at the table both trying to stifle their laughs. A blush from embarrassment shows on my face as I sit at the table.

" Ha. Ha. now can you stop laughing. " I say to them In a dry voice.

" hahahaha I wish I could of saw that. " Says Mushu as he starts laughing.

Mittlet holds her hands to her mouth trying to stop herself from laughing anymore. " Right, right I'll stop but you should have heard yourself. " Said Mittlet with a sly smile on her face.

" Yeah, whatever. " I roll my eyes. " So anyway, what are you here for? " I ask her as I lean my head against the palm of my hand.

"To uphold my part of the deal I give you information and you give me protection. I stopped by here last night, but you weren't here."

" Oh yeah that's right. Sorry I had business I needed to do yesterday. " She just raises her eyebrow at me.

" Business? " She asks me inquisitively.

I nod my head at her. " Yeah, Izanami had me track and kill a demon that escaped Yomi. "i say with a bored voice.

She looks at me with a surprised look on her face. " I-i-Izanami the Japanese god of death that one? " She asks unsure if she heard correctly.

" Yep, that would be the one."

" If you don't mind me asking, who are you exactly. " Says mittlet nervously. She knew Hikari wasn't weak, but she didn't expect her to have connections to major gods of the Shinto pantheon. At most she thought Hikari was part of one of the five principal clans.

" I'll tell you, but you can't tell anybody else that's all I ask. " I say in a serious voice. She just nods her head in response. It isn't like I actually make a serious attempt to hide my identity. Almost every single supernatural being in Japan knows me.

" I'm a demigod. " I say bluntly to her as a look of shock crosses her face she quickly regains her composure.

" Is that so then who is your parent? " She asks nervous but also excited. 

"Amaterasu is my mother she is also the one that sent me to look over the rulers of kouh. "

" wow I didn't expect you be someone that important I'm glad I asked for your help but im curious how come I've never heard of you before? " She says relieved that she made a good decision as she asks a question.

I look at her and shrug my shoulders. " I'm well known within Japan but that is about it and only in recent years have I become active within the supernatural, so my name isn't that widely known within factions like the biblical factions. "

Mittlet nods her head in understanding. " I see that does make sense. " She slouches forward resting on the table. " Must be nice to have the freedom to do as please. " Mittlet says as she thinks of her current predicament. she doesn't any titles or power, so she's stuck here taking orders like a servant. It wouldn't be a lie to say she is a little envious of Hikari. 

" meh it isn't all that you would think " i shrug my shoulders. " Also, what was it you came here to tell me? " I ask her now remembering that she came her to speak with me.

Mittlet sits up and pulls a photo out of her pocket and slides it across the table to me. " Oh, right there is going to be a nun arriving here in kouh and will be joining us she is very important. " Mittlet stresses the importance of the nun.

I grab the picture and take a good look at her she has long blonde hair with emerald, green eyes and a slim body with a modest chest she looks completely harmless. " I think you mentioned her before is she the one you will be using for the ritual. "

she told me about this before. raynare plans to take the sacred gear from the girl to make herself stronger. ' I swear it seems like any being from the biblical factions literally dose anything else besides training to get stronger. ' I finish looking at the photo and hand it back to Mittlet which she pockets the photo and continues to speak.

She nods her head. " that's right the ritual will be to remove the sacred gear twilight healing and put it into raynare. "

Even if she gets the sacred gear I don't think that will give you enough power to go against a cadre-class fallen angel it will just make you a glorified punching bag. " Wait from what I know if your sacred gear gets removed doesn't the original owner die. " I say as I remember what happens to sacred gear users when theirs is removed from them.

" that's right but this nun is exiled from the church and doesn't have any family it isn't like anybody will miss her. " Mittlet says nonchalantly as she waves her hand dismissively brushing my concern to the side.

I nod my head. " I guess your right and well it isn't my concern what happens with the nun. " I say not caring about the nun in the slightest.

Mittlet gets up from sitting and lightly bows. " Well, that is all I came here for so I will be going now."

"A-a-a wait a sec." I call out to her as I am blushing.

She stops and turns to look at me. " What is it? " She Asked curiously. 

" Um I was just wondering if you would um like to hang out. " I say in a low voice.

She seems a little taken back from my question. " Uh why me? Can't you ask some of your other friends. "

I look down as I press two of my fingers against each other. " I don't have any friends, and I was kind of hoping you would be my friend. " I say in a shy and embarrassed voice. I Didn't look up, but I swear I could hear a small laugh from her. ' Ah maybe she doesn't want to. I knew I shouldn't of asked her that was a dumb idea. ' I begin to berate myself in my head for trying.

" Sure. " Comes the voice of mittlet. I look up at her and she has a toothy grin on her face.

" Eh really? " I say surprised that she actually accepted.

" of course. " She says as she sits back down with a smile on her face.

It was later into the afternoon that I made it to the orc club building. I spent most of my day with mittlet it really is fun to have a friend. ' ha ha I knew I could make a friend if I try. ' I think to myself proud of my accomplishment.

I'm pretty much skipping all the way to the orc I'm that happy. *whistle* I walk into to the building and head straight through the doors and enter the main room. I find it completely empty except for issei who is organizing papers. ' He seems to be thinking quite hard. I wonder if something happened.

'" Yo issei you doing alright. " I call out to him dragging him out of his thoughts as he looks at me.

"Hikari where have you been?" He asked a little surprised by my sudden appearance.

" Yeah, I had some business to take care of. " I wave my hand dismissively. " so did I miss anything? " I ask as I take a seat on the couch opposite of him.

He looks down at the papers and then sighs not looking all that happy. " Not much except for me messing up all the time. " Issei filled me on what happened to him apparently, he encountered a fallen angel named kalwarner and managed to fight it to a standstill making the fallen angel flee.

That took me by surprise but a welcomed one it just goes to show he is improving and the second was about a nun with the ability to heal. He got scolded by rias which is why he is acting like this. ' So issei's met with the nun that will be used in the ritual. Well, that is bound to make things complicated from what I know of issei he easily gets attached to people. '

Akeno shows up behind the couch issei is sitting on and speaks right into his ear scaring him. " she's not upset with you. She's just worried about you silly boy. "

" ahhh oh it's just you Akeno, you scared me. " Issei says relieved it is Akeno. The door to the room opens up and rias walks in.

She looks at issei then me. " What are you still doing here issei I thought you went home already. And it's nice that you finally decided to show up Hikari. " Rias speaks to me in a tone that wasn't hostile but definitely wasn't friendly.

Akeno gets up and looks at rias with an serious look on her face compared to her usual self. " We just received word from the archduke. "

" The archduke? "

" it's urgent There's a stray devil causing trouble nearby. " Says Akeno speaking to rias.

' Wait did they just now learn about that stray devil it's been here for like two whole weeks. Wait, wait did they never realize there has been 8 people missing in this week alone cause of that stray. ' 

" Alright we will head out and exterminate that stray devil and Hikari, I want you to come so we can show you how we take care of things. " Rias says confidently.

I get up and shrug my shoulders. " By all means. "

We are in the woods heading to the abandoned warehouse where the stray devil is currently hiding. I am walking behind the group as Kiba gives issei the run down on stray devils." apparently this stray devil has been tricking and leading people into this abandoned warehouse and eating them. " Says Akeno telling the group some of the information she got from the archduke.

" So just a question is this the first time you guys realized this stray devil was here or did you guys wait for an order from this archduke guy? " I ask the group as i am genuinely curious if they knew it was there and just waited for an order.

Rias turns to look at me as she keeps walking. " We hunt them down as soon as we can before they cause any more trouble. " Says rias sounding proud.

"T-thats good to hear." I say with a fake smile on my face. ' I wonder how long it will take for them to realize that there is a second one here in kouh. '

They keep chatting with each other as we enter the warehouse. As soon as I stepped in, I could sense where the stray devil was without even trying. " Hey just a heads up but you might want to be on guard since stray devil is right there. " I say out loud as I point to a dark corner of the warehouse.

They all look in the direction I was pointing, and rias takes this chance to say one last thing to issei. " Pay attention as my devils do battle here tonight that goes for you too Hikari. " She says more sternly to me.

' I'm really getting tired of the way she speaks to me I feel like she treating me the same as one of her servants. ' I clench my fist in anger for but a brief moment. The stray devil appears from behind a pillar. The upper half of her body is naked and visible for all to see with the lower half of her body being some kind of monster in of its own.

The stray begins to speak with rias but I don't even bother to pay attention to what they say as I walk over and lean on a wall nearby to watch. 'Well let's see how this goes.'
