Chapter 2: Chapter 2: The Dungeon of Shifting Shadows
The world inside the dungeon was silent, oppressive. Jiho found himself standing in a vast chamber, the walls carved from dark stone that seemed to drink in the light. Faint whispers echoed around him, though there was no one else in sight.
Dungeon Analysis Complete.
Type: Shadow Nexus Dungeon
Recommended Team Size: 5-7
Adjusting Difficulty for Solo Walker.
Jiho took a deep breath, his eyes scanning the room. The dungeon had already adapted to his presence, something only Nexus Walkers seemed capable of. Hunters faced dungeons as they were; Jiho faced dungeons designed for him.
The first challenge came in the form of shadowy figures that emerged from the walls, their bodies flickering like candle flames. Jiho crouched low, his system feeding him information.
Enemies Identified: Shadow Golems.
Weakness: Light-Based Damage.
Jiho didn't have a weapon, but that didn't matter. He activated one of his most-used skills.
Skill Activated: Rule Bender.
The dungeon's faint light, emanating from cracks in the ceiling, grew brighter. The golems recoiled, their forms destabilizing. Jiho used the moment to dash past them, heading toward the faint glow of the dungeon's core.
The deeper he went, the more the dungeon seemed to fight back. Walls shifted, corridors twisted, and traps activated in rapid succession. Jiho avoided them all, his system guiding him with unerring precision.
Trap Detected: Collapsing Corridor.
Solution: Disarm Runes on Opposite Wall.
Jiho flicked a pebble at a glowing rune on the wall, disabling the trap. It was almost too easy.
Finally, he reached the core chamber. The room was massive, its centerpiece a floating orb of dark energy. Beneath it stood the dungeon's Guardian, a towering creature of pure shadow with burning red eyes.
Core Guardian Identified: Shade Monarch.
Threat Level: High.
Jiho cracked his knuckles. "Alright, let's see what you've got."
