Aiden leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees as he considered his next move.

"How would I even go about finding Wanda?" he finally asked.

Callisto scoffed. "You don't. She's a damn ghost when she wants to be. Skilled in more than just flashy magic tricks—she's a true magician. If she doesn't want to be found, you won't find her."

Aiden kept his expression neutral, pretending not to already know about Wanda's reality-warping abilities. "What do you mean by magician? I thought she was a mutant."

Callisto's smirk faded as she leaned back, crossing her arms. "That's the thing...she's not. Neither she nor her brother were born mutants. They were adopted, and most people think their powers come from some kind of experiment. Her brother, Pietro, is a speedster—fast enough to make even some of the best look slow. But Wanda? She's something else entirely."

Aiden listened carefully as Callisto continued.

"She's a mage. A powerful one. There are rumors that she's as strong as—or even stronger than—Doctor Strange himself."

That made Aiden pause. 'As strong as the Sorcerer Supreme? Looks like this variation of Wanda is pretty advanced already'

He had known Wanda was powerful, but if she was already considered on Strange's level in this world, then she was far more dangerous than he initially thought.

Still, this was good information. He filed it away for later.

After a moment, he nodded and stood up. "Thanks, Callisto. For this, and for taking care of my family."

Callisto waved him off. "Don't mention it. Just remember—you owe me a favor."

Aiden rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah."

With that, he left the office, stepping back into the underground tunnels. Peter was already waiting for him, casually hanging upside down from a webline.

"So, what's the verdict?" Peter asked. "Did Callisto officially declare you the King of the Morlocks?"

Aiden smirked. "No. But I did get some new information. Let's head outside. We've got two mysteries to solve—my father's past and the kidnapping of the Invisible Woman."

Peter dropped from his web, landing smoothly on his feet. "Oh, you know, just casual mysteries involving major figures in the superhero community. No pressure."

Aiden exhaled. "Yeah… No pressure at all."

With that, the two headed toward the surface, ready to chase the next lead.

....

[Next Scene:]

Aiden and Spider-Man moved like shadows, leaping from rooftop to rooftop under the cover of night. The cityscape stretched beneath them, the glow of New York's lights illuminating the skyline. They finally landed on a rooftop overlooking their target—the Baxter Building.

Aiden folded his arms, staring at the towering structure. "Well? Tell me you're on good terms with them."

Peter chuckled nervously. "Good terms? What? I don't even know them! I've never even met them before."

Aiden sighed, rubbing his temples. "So you're completely useless."

"Hey!" Peter snapped, clearly offended. "Plenty strong over here, thank you very much! Besides, you're the one who called me for help!"

Aiden smirked. "True, true."

Peter crossed his arms. "Look, this is insane. You're really just gonna waltz into one of the most secure buildings in New York and ask Reed Richards what happened?"

Aiden shrugged. "Pretty much."

Peter groaned. "Okay, listen. If you have to do this, at least wait for Gwen."

Aiden raised an eyebrow. "Gwen?"

Peter nodded. "Yeah, she's a genius when it comes to infiltration. She can pull up blueprints, security protocols—stuff that makes sneaking in way easier."

Aiden scoffed. "That won't be necessary."

Peter tilted his head. "Oh? You'd rather brute-force your way in instead of getting some actual intel?"

Aiden paused, then exhaled. "…Fine."

Peter grinned and tapped his communicator. "Gwen? You there?"

Aiden heard static for a second before a familiar, teasing voice filled his earpiece.

"Hi, Dragon."

Aiden smirked. "Gwen… Hi… Looks like you're more than just a pretty face."

"Of course." Gwen's voice was laced with amusement. "I'm always here to help the Dragon of my class."

"Ughhh, get a room, you two," Peter muttered over the comms.

Aiden and Gwen both chuckled.

Aiden shook his head. "Alright, what do you got for me?"

Gwen got serious. "Alright, listen up. I tapped into the Baxter Building's security system and pulled up blueprints. The place is a fortress—biometric scans, cameras, pressure sensors—you name it. But there's a blind spot near the ventilation system on the southeast side, about five floors up. You get in through there, and you'll have a straight shot to their security hub. Shut that down, and the rest of the building's open for you."

Peter whistled. "Okay, that's actually impressive. Thanks, Gwen."

Aiden adjusted his gloves. "Hey… Gwen… I really appreciate the help, you know that, right? You owe me dinner after this."

Gwen's voice purred through the comms. "It better be something special."

Aiden grinned. "Yeah… It will."

With that, he took a deep breath, focused his magic, and leaped towards the Baxter Building, vanishing into the night.

.....

[Next Scene:]

Peter crouched on the rooftop, eyes wide as he watched Aiden disappear into the darkness below. The kid moved like a ghost, slipping from one shadow to another without making a sound. It wasn't teleportation—it was something else.

Peter muttered under his breath, "Okay, that's just cheating."

Aiden's voice crackled through his earpiece. "You jealous?"

Peter scoffed as he swung down to join Aiden at the security hub. "A little."

Aiden chuckled. "Well, too bad. Guess not all of us are blessed with a radioactive spider bite."

Peter smirked. "Yeah, well, not all of us have freaky shadow powers either. But hey, I make up for it with my special set of skills."

Aiden rolled his eyes. "Sure, sure, show me what you got, Web-Head."

The two entered the dimly lit room, where four security guards sat monitoring the building's systems. Before any of them could react, Aiden moved—fast. A quick burst of Shadow Slayer Magic sent tendrils of darkness snaking out, striking the guards with precise, silent blows. Within seconds, they were out cold.

Peter, who had been hanging upside down from the ceiling, dropped down next to Aiden and sighed. "Again. Cheating."

Aiden grinned. "Just accept it."

Peter shook his head. "Fine, fine, now let's get Gwen on the line before you decide to start breaking stuff."

He pressed his earpiece. "Alright, Gwen, we're in. What's next?"

Gwen's voice came through, clear and confident. "Alright, listen up, Web-Head. You need to bypass their internal firewall without triggering the silent alarms. Their system is built on quantum-encrypted pathways, meaning you have about thirty seconds to disrupt their relay nodes before the security A.I. kicks in. If you reroute the processing core to a secondary server, you'll create a buffer long enough to—"

Aiden blinked. "…What?"

Gwen sighed. "Just let Peter do his thing."

Aiden shrugged. "Fine. I still think my Shadow Slayer Magic would've been faster."

Peter cracked his knuckles. "Yeah, well, not all of us can just warp through reality. Now, let the genius work."

With practiced precision, Peter's fingers danced over the terminal, quickly shutting down the servers just long enough to mask their presence. Gwen guided him through each step, her voice smooth and confident. Within moments, the system was down.

Peter turned to Aiden with a smirk. "Boom. Done."

Aiden gave a slow clap. "Bravo. Let's move."

Peter pulled up a screen. "Before we do, I got something. Reed Richards' special training room—located right under his office. If he's anywhere, it's there."

Aiden's expression turned serious. "Then let's not waste time."

The two quickly navigated through the building, using Gwen's guidance to avoid patrols. Soon, they reached Reed's office, where Peter found a hidden control panel. A few quick commands later, a secret passage slid open, revealing a staircase leading downward.

Peter whistled. "Man's got a whole floor just for training? That's kinda crazy."

Aiden didn't reply. He was already descending.

The two stepped onto the training floor—a massive, empty space stretching far beyond what they expected. No equipment. No tech. Just emptiness.

Aiden exhaled sharply. "Looks like we've fallen for a trap."

Peter stiffened. "What? What do you mean—?"

A sudden thump echoed behind them. Aiden turned, his gaze narrowing as three figures descended from the ceiling.

Reed Richards. (Mister Fantastic)

Johnny Storm. (Human Torch)

Ben Grimm. (The Thing)

The Fantastic Four—minus one.

Aiden's fists clenched.

Peter groaned. "Oh, you've gotta be kidding me…"
