"Rghaa!!!" Kalius roared with his arms spread out as purple markings spread all over his body.

Erica stood panting, her forehead bleeding a bit as she watched it all happen. Her eyes then darted to the scared villagers, cowering inside the magic barrier. Then, to the monsters closing in on them before back to Kalius. She clicked her tongue with a glare before twirling her spear.

"Damn it Major. Fine, no more going easy." she said taking a readied stance with her right foot forward and her spear held out towards the beast of a man.

Kalius growled as he glared down at Erica and with a roar, he waved out his sword and began to charge towards the girl.

Blue lightning began to surge throughout Erica's body and her weapon before she bolted toward the man. Seeing this, Kalius took a large swing towards the incoming foe, only for the blade of his broadsword to collide with the metal shaft of the girl's spear. Kalius pushed his weight forward to overpower her but Erica swiftly shifted her weight. Kalius was thrown out of balance as he stumbled forward at full force while Erica elegantly danced to his side before lashing out her spear at him.

[Lightning Impact!]

Erica's spear struck at Kalius' side upon casting the spell. A surge of lightning transferred from her onto the man, flinging him onto a wall far away with a powerful and instantaneous electrocuting force.

Kalius grunted in pain as his monstrous figure fell off the wall onto the ground. Landing on his feet he growled at Erica only for his eyes to widen as he saw the girl twirling her spear.

[Crescent Spark!]

With swift slashes of her spear, Erica sent arcs of crackling lightning blades slicing through the air, each one curving toward Kalius with deadly precision.

The man moved his heavy body quickly to parry each one but with Erica not stopping in her onslaught, it wasn't long before he began getting overwhelmed. Enraged, he let out another loud roar before slamming his sword to the ground with immense force. The ground shattered as a wave of red magic raged for Erica.

Dodging the attack for the girl was as easy as swiftly jumping out of the way of the attack. She was about to charge toward Kalius again when he heard the screams of the villagers worsen. Turning her attention to the barrier, she saw the monsters relentlessly attacking it, desperate to break through and reach the terrified villagers inside.

Oh, come on! She thought gritting her teeth. Quickly, she turned her gaze back to Kalius who was now charging towards her.

She took a deep breath.

"You're starting to get my nerves, Major!" She yelled as she spun her spear.

[Volt Wake!]

With all her might, she sent her spear onto the ground causing a circular wave of lightning to erupt all around her. As the lightning spread out all around her, Kalius quickly held out his sword horizontally to help block the attack. The monsters however were not as lucky and most of them were fried by the lightning the instant it struck them.

As the spell died down Kalius brought out his sword once more about to charge only to see Erica surging more strongly with lightning, her spear held skyward. The man flinched as Erica smirked.

[Thunderclap!]

A massive amount of lightning fell from the skies and struck her spear. Just like the sudden and intense roaring of thunder, Erica lashed her spear forward. The entirety of the crackling element exploded forth toward Kalius. The ground itself was destroyed as the lightning made its way and despite placing his sword forward and forming a shield from his red aura, the lightning swallowed him up and slammed him into the building, destroying it with him in it.

Quickly, she turned back to the villagers just in time as more monsters arrived to replace the fallen ones. She grunted as she glanced up seeing the black magic circle still active. Her eyes then glanced back to where Kalius had been buried.

"I'm kind of glad that didn't kill him but still..." she said as she spun her spear before beginning to dash at the monsters.

[Lightning Fang!]

Sharp, fang-like projectiles of pure lightning materialized around her, crackling with energy. With a decisive wave of her spear, she unleashed them all at once. Each jagged bolt curved through the air with pinpoint accuracy, piercing and electrocuting the monsters with deadly precision. Those who managed to evade the lightning fangs met their end at the electrified head of Erica's spear. The girl made swift, graceful work of them, cutting down one monster after another with fluid, dance-like movements.

With her magic amplifying her speed to an almost lightning-like state, the villagers could only stare in awe as all they could see was her figure shrouded in lightning as it zapped through monster after monster. But soon, a sense of dread washed over them.

"Lady Erica! Behind you!"

As Erica slashed through another monster, Milka’s urgent warning reached her ears. She spun around just in time to see Kalius leaping into the air, his sword descending toward her. Before the blade could strike, a pair of hands seized the man's foot, yanking him backward and hurling him forcefully into a nearby building.
