Dragon Ball:Vados is my Wife

Chapter 17: Chapter 17. Kakarot Goodbye

"Raditz, since your little brother doesn't want to join us, it's up to you to kill him yourself."

Vegeta, who had remained silent thus far, finally spoke, his voice was full of disdain.

Raditz nodded, turning his attention back to Son Goku.

"Kakarot, this is the path you chose, so don't blame me, your big brother, for not considering our brotherhood."

With that, Raditz threw Son Goku into the air, a menacing beam of energy forming at his fingertips, pulsating with deadly intent. Though he was Goku's brother, Raditz felt no real affection for him. If Goku had been sensible, he might have considered joining their team, but this was no longer an option.

"Goku!"

Krillin's voice echoed in despair from the ground, his eyes wide with terror.

"Bastard!!"

Yamcha's anger surged; Tien, Piccolo, and Chiaotzu had already fallen, would they truly lose everything today?

In his desperation, Yamcha attempted to rise and intervene, but the pain held him firmly to the ground.

Meanwhile, Vegeta and Nappa stood by, their expressions smug. To them, Goku and his friends were expendable nuisances. If they couldn't be useful allies, they only deserved to be eliminated.

"Goku!"

Krillin and Yamcha shouted in unison, their voices filled with an agonizing mix of fear and fury. They had witnessed Goku's heroics—the way he had toppled the Red Ribbon Army and defeated Demon King Piccolo; to see him reduced to this state was heartbreaking.

"Kakarot, goodbye,"

Raditz sneered, energy beam ready to strike.

Just then, an unexpected flash disrupted the scene. A dark figure darted through the air, seizing Son Goku and pulling him away before the energy beam could pierce his heart.

Raditz's attack fizzled into nothingness as the shadow moved.

"What?" Raditz's expression turned to shock, eyes wide.

"Um?" Vegeta and Nappa exchanged worried glances, noticing the tall figure behind Raditz.

Son Goku, now cradled in the newcomer's arms, was gently lowered to the ground.

"Kahn!" Krillin and Yamcha yelled in unison, their spirits lifted as they recognized the figure before them.

"Brother Kahn!"

Kahn swiftly produced a Senzu bean from the Senzu pouch and fed it to Son Goku.

With a crunch, Goku consumed the bean, and immediately, his wounds began to heal. Not only did he regain his strength, but a powerful aura began to radiate from him.

"Brother Kahn…" Goku gasped, looking both relieved and grateful.

Kahn handed Goku a small cloth bag.

"There are a few more senzu beans here. Give them to Krillin and Yamcha; I'll handle the rest."

"Okay, but be careful! They're really powerful!"

Vegeta and Nappa were stunned, as they watched Son Goku, who had just moments ago been on the brink of death, now revitalized and brimming with energy.

"What... just happened?"

Vegeta mumbled, a sense of confusion clouding his face.

Raditz, however, was anything but confused. Fear gripped him as he recognized the familiar presence. "K… Kahn, it's you!!"

He stepped back instinctively, retreating toward Vegeta and Nappa, who exchanged glances but were equally intrigued.

"Is he Kahn?"

Vegeta questioned, eying Kahn with a mix of wariness and curiosity.

"Yes!" Raditz panted, a bead of sweat trickling down his forehead.

Nappa scoffed, inspecting Kahn skeptically.

"Doesn't look very strong."

If only he had his combat power detector on, he would think differently.

Ignoring Nappa and Vegeta, Kahn turned his attention back to Raditz.

"So, Raditz, I assume you found Frieza and dealt with him?"

"Where's his head?" Kahn continued, his demeanor casual.

"Kahn, don't you see the situation you're in?" Raditz replied, confidence surging back to him. "You see Vegeta next to me? He's the Prince of the Saiyans and a genius fighter."

"In Vegeta's eyes, your power is no different from that of an ant. Kneel and admit your mistake, and perhaps I can convince Vegeta to spare your life."

Raditz's flattery was not lost on Vegeta, who smiled in approval.

Kahn chuckled, unfazed.

"So, you didn't kill Frieza but still returned, huh? So you did not take my warning seriously and return empty hand just to die.

"Hey! Hey! Hey!" Raditz exclaimed,

"You think you can speak so boldly with Vegeta here? I'll send you on your way!"

Nappa shouted, charging forward with ferocity.

With a roar, Nappa's fist, larger than Kahn's head, swung down with blinding speed, ready to crush him with overwhelming might.

"Brother Kahn, get out of the way!"

Goku screamed, panic rising in his chest as he recalled the sheer strength of Nappa.

Yet, Kahn simply smiled, untroubled by the imminent doom.

As Nappa's fist descended, Kahn raised a hand nonchalantly.

SNAP!

The impact never came.

In an instant, shockwaves rippled through the area as the ground trembled beneath Nappa's feet, but Kahn stood unfazed.

"What?! How is this possible?!"

Nappa's pupils dilated in disbelief.

Son Goku, Krillin, and Yamcha could only watch in awe as Kahn's calm demeanor seemed to dismantle the ferocity of Nappa's attack.

Nappa's confidence faltered, and an unsettled fear throbbed in his chest.

Kahn's smirk widened an ominous promise of what was to come, suggesting that an entirely different battle was about to begin.
