Dragon Ball The Next

Goku, Vegeta and Future Trunks were waiting for Black to show up while standing in the middle of the destroyed West City. Far away from the refugees.

"I don't get it. You mean to tell me that Black could kill everyone while I was away." Future Trunks asked Vegeta.

Vegeta and Goku seem baffled by Future Trunks's words.

Every superhuman on the planet except 17 could sense power levels.

If Black was flying around the planet, destroying cities and killing everyone that he could see, he would be a stranger if he did not know where the refugees were hiding.

With how limited living beings on the planet at this time, both Vegeta and Goku were sure that Black was just leaving them alone for a while instead of trying to catch them immediately for an unknown motive.

"I also think it's kind of strange. When I fought him I noticed that you were much weaker than him. I have a feeling that He could have easily killed you if he wanted." Goku said to Future Trunks.

"They are coming," Vegeta said as he looked at two individuals that are approaching them.

"It must be Goku and Vegeta," Zamasu said as he arrived and landed in front of the three.

"And the one with the blue hair is Trunks," Black said to Zamasu as he also arrived near him.

"Is that a Kaioshin?" Goku said as he looked at Zamasu.

"Do you think you could beat both of them? Their power levels seem to be higher than yours." Zamasu asked Black.

Of course, he didn't include Future Trunks in that conversation.

"Black." Future Trunks yelled out as he transformed into Super Saiyan 2 form and dashed towards Black while holding his sword in his hand.

He tries to slice Goku Black with his sword but Black catches his blade while using only two of his fingers without transforming into Super Saiyan form.

Goku and Future Trunks have a similar moment in the past. But there was a difference.

In the past, Future Trunks was trying to test Goku's powers.

This time he was trying to kill for real.

He could have killed you easily. The words that Goku said to him reappeared in Future Trunks's mind.

Black kicked Future Trunks and sent him flying away effortlessly.

"Trunks!" Vegeta was worried when he saw that Future Trunks was easily overpowered by Black.

"Vegeta. Wait. He seems to be stronger than he was before." Goku said to Vegeta while putting his hand on his shoulder.

"That does not matter," Vegeta said as he removed Goku's hand.

"Since you have already your fair share of fun with him I will take him on," Vegeta said as he transformed into his Super Saiyan Blue form.

"I will show you why you should not have messed with my son," Vegeta said as he dashed towards Black.

"Hey. Vegeta. You can't just decide who will fight him just like that." Goku complained.

Black transformed into Super Saiyan form and tried to block Vegeta's attack but he could not block the attack.

The difference in power between the two was too great.

"What's wrong? Go blue already." Vegeta turned Black as he sidely beat him down.

However, despite this beat-down Black was able to avoid attacks that would have ended him just by a strand of hair as his powers continued to increase.

Vegeta goes in for a kick that launches him into the air.

Followed by a powerful tackle to his body as he assaults him with the rapid punches.

"What's wrong? Fight back." Vegeta said to Black while smiling.

He then smacked him into the ground with a powerful downward elbow strike.

"Trunks. Are you Okay?" Goku said as he went to check on Future Trunks.

Despite getting hit only once Future Trunks's body has a giant red bruise.

"Here. Have a Senzu bean." Goku said as he handed Future Trunks a Senzu bean.

"Thanks." Future Trunks said.

His body immediately recovered after eating the Senzu bean.

Zamasu was watching the whole situation occur right in front of his eyes.

He then looked at Black who was being beaten up by Vegeta.

"Ha," Black yelled out as he powered up during the beatdown that Vegeta was giving him.

"Super Saiyan 2?" Vegeta said as he looked at Black.

Black dashed towards Vegeta and tried to launch an attack at him.

Vegeta dodged the attack by a small margin but he was shocked when he realized that Black was now as strong as his blue form after transforming into Super Saiyan 2.

They launched a kick at each other creating a shockwave.

"Black becomes even more stronger than he was before." Future Trunks said in disbelief.

"So even Blue is not enough," Goku said while smiling.

How is he doing that? It is almost as if he is getting a Zenaki boost through the whole fight. But how? I thought you could only get a Zenkai boost when you have fully recovered from your injury. Vegeta thought in his mind.

"It seems like you have already figured out what I was doing. Aren't you?" Black said to Vegeta.

He then punched Vegeta in the face knocking him a few steps away.

"Just as you suspected. I am using the power of the Saiyans. That allowed you to get stronger when you are in a fight." Black openly admitted.

Which shocked Goku, Vegeta and Future Trunks.

He was healing his body using the teachings that he received when he was a supreme Kai apprentice throughout the whole fight.

This is why his power level continued to increase without having to take a break as he does not need to wait for his body to heal naturally.

"I see. That's why you didn't kill Trunks when you had the chance," Vegeta said as he wiped the blood that was on his face.

"You wanted to use him to increase your power just like how you are using me to become stronger, and the refugees are just bait to keep him around," Vegeta said.

"Pathetic. Don't you know that the Saiyan power that you are using has a limit?" Vegeta said as he transformed into his Blue Evolution form.

He still can't use Blue Evolution as a go-to form as it still drains too much of his energy.

But this is why it is worth it as the power of Blue Evolution is at least twenty times stronger than his Super Saiyan Blue form if not more.

"Allow me to demonstrate it to you," Vegeta said as he pointed his thumb at himself.
