Dragon Ball The Next

"That's exciting." An alien in a small body said as he looked at the events that were happening on Future Trunks's earth.

It was Zeno from Future Trunks's timeline. He was alerted when Black transformed into Super Saiyan Rose 2.

Zeno was so powerful to the point that he didn't even need to fight.

But he was thrilled to see people who were much weaker than him engaging in a battle where they had to fight with everything they had.

After Goten ate the Senzu beans he recovered his ki.

Not only that his power also increased because of the Zenaki boost that comes from his body being healed after getting pummeled by Black.

Goten's soul is similar to Black as it was also from a being that cannot be considered a mortal. At least to a certain extent.

So just like him he also has the potential to become a Super Saiyan Rose 2 if he receives enough power from the Zenaki.

But he didn't. And Goten was happy about that.

He didn't want to achieve such power by using Zenkai boosts.

He wanted to earn it by training and mastering his Rose form.

"Damn it. Even Fusion is not enough." Vegito said as he was knocked away by Black despite blocking his attack.

Then Goten reentered the fight as he appeared behind Black in his Ultimate Rose form.

"!" Black blocked the sneak attack that Goten Launched but at that moment Vegito launched a Final Flash at him.

"Final Flash," Vegito said as he launched a powerful attack at Black.

"Tsk." Black dodged the attack by using his palm.

"You are wide open," Goten said as he used Super God Fist on Black's face.

Vegito also appeared on the other side of Black using Goku's instant transmission and also used an attack called Super Dragon Fist on the other side of Black's face.

"Damn it." Black cursed when he realized that his time was finally up.

He is strong enough to dominate both Vegito in Evoken form and Goten in his Ultimate Rose respectively in a one-versus-one.

But he is still not strong enough to the point of defeating them when they combine their might.

Both Goten and Vegito then backflipped away from Black after finishing their attack.

"Final..." Goten yelled out as he started to Charge his final attack.

Vegito also activated Evoken one last time as he also started to change his final attack.

"Final Kamehameha."

"Kamehameha."

The two of them used their strongest attack on Goku Black.

Black tried to use super explosive waves to nullify their attack and it seemed to work for a few minutes but He didn't realise that Future Trunks and Chronoa were still around them.

"Temporal Justice."

"Heat Dome Crush."

The two also join in as they transform into their strongest form and unleash their strongest attacks at Goku Black.

Finally overpowering him and reducing him to dust.

"Cause you mortals." He yelled out before he died.

"Is it finally over." Future Trunks asked as the darkened sky started to brighten up.

Sunlights reappeared and the clouds started to become white again.

"Finally," Vegito said as he removed his armband.

Goku and Vegeta defused as they fell from the sky. Goku was wearing Both Potara after they were defused.

Goten now in his rose form was still floating in midair as he looked at the sky.

Chronoa smiled. As Future Trunks' timeline was now returning to normal.

"That was amazing. Show it to me again." Then they heard a voice.

All of them looked behind Chronoa to see Zeno and his two guards standing behind them.

"Zen-Ohh sama?" Goku said as he looked at Zeno.

"Do I know you?" Zeno asked.

"What are you doing here?" Goku asked.

"Me? I am watching the whole thing. I want to see it again. It's entertaining." Zeno said.

He was not the same Zeno that Goku knew but his easygoing personality allowed Goku to converse with him.

"That Kakarrot. We just defeated Black and he is already stirring up trouble." Vegeta said as he lay on the ground.

"This is not good," Chronoa said.

Future Trunks was confused.

He does not know who Zeno is. Or why Vegeta and Chronoa seemed to be worried about him.

But he knew he should keep quiet and shut his mouth.

"Goku Black," Goten said. He has mixed feelings about him.

He knew that Black also had a good side in his heart, he could have used that side to prevent him from going down this path if he met him sooner.

Because despite his evil intentions Black is still someone with good intentions.

But then he rethinks about that and throws away such thoughts.

He and Goku Black were different in both the way they thought and the way they acted.

Only a warrior who possess a noble soul would have been able to save Black from going down the path that he did.

He then saw Goku talking with Zeno.

"Wait. Is that Zeno? This can't be good." Goten said.

If there is anything that he knows about his father other than that he is a great warrior, is that he can be inconsiderate and doesn't think much about the things that he says.

In present times.

In the world of Kai in the Universe 10.

Trunks and Shin arrived at the planet where Zamasu and Gowasu were staying.

They seemed to be enjoying their tea when they arrived.

"You are the mortal who could use god ki?" Gowasu said as he greeted Trunks and Shin.

Zamasu frowned when he saw Trunks.

"I am here to discuss about Zamasu," Shin said.

"Zamasu?" Gowasu asked.

Zamasu prepared two cups of tea and some snacks for Trunks and Shin.

"I want you to let go of the hatred that you have of Mortals," Shin said bluntly.

He didn't know about Zamasu's hatred when he first saw him.

But he was able to recognise that it existed when Trunks told him about his suspicion about it after they had already left.

"Hate mortals? What are you talking about?" Zamasu tried to deny it but Shin was not buying it.

"Why do you even hate innocent mortals that don't know much better?" Shin asked.

"Why? Do you want to know why?" Zamasu yelled at Shin while slamming the table that he was at.

"Zamasu. Behave yourself." Gowasu warned him.

"Sorry about that Master." He said as he apologized to his master.

"I am sorry." He also apologized to Shin and Trunks.

"It's fine. But can you tell me the reason?" Shin asked.

"Because as soon as they obtain a little power and intelligence they always try to destroy the things around them," Zamasu answered.

"I agree that sometimes people do things that are bad." Trunks finally said as he looked at Zamasu in the eye.

"But those imperfections only make us even more beautiful. Not everyone yearns for war and destruction." He continued.

"There are small kids, innocent people that were harmed by people that have evil and malicious intentions." Trunks said to Zamasu.

"And it is the job of a Supreme Kai to help the right civilisation thrive, and the job of the god of destruction was to destroy unnecessary civilizations," Gowasu explained to Zamasu.

Zamasu then thought about what Trunks just said to him.

Is what he saying true? Are there mortals in the universe that deserve to live? A seed of doubt was planted in his mind.

He would not change his ways right away but when the seeds of doubt are planted you will change your ways even if it's slowly and gradually.

Gowasu then realized that he was right as despite Zamasu's immense hatred of mortals he still had the best intentions for the universe.

He can still be saved as it is not too late.

"Master," Zamasu said to Gowasu.

"I have seen my errors." He said.

He then bowed to him. And made a request.

"Please. Demote me so that I will not be the next Supreme Kai." Zamasu said as he bowed to Gowasu.

His request shocked everyone present in that location.

Zamasu has now realized that he is not suited to be a Supreme Kai.

He should instead try to be a God of Destruction instead to help the universe.

Even if he has to give up his divine body.

But at least he has discarded the Zero mortal plan.

He saw the errors in the way that he used to think. And despite not being 100% convinced he still wanted to change his universe for the better.

The time machine arrived back at the present.

With Goku, Vegeta and Future Trunks inside it.

"This incident is so tiresome. I think I am going to have a nap." Beerus said as he got up.

Beerus, Whis, Marron and Bra had already returned from the time vault a few minutes ago and were only waiting for the others to return.

"Everyone. You have returned." Bulma said as she greeted Goku, Vegeta and Future Trunks.

"I will prepare the super dragon ball radar for you in three days. So take a rest for a while." Bulma said to Future Trunks.

"Thanks, mom." He replied.

"You are not immediately going back right. Do you want me to prepare a room for you? No, how about a house?" She asked.

Goten and Chronoa also arrived using the time scrolls.

"Thank you. For sending me home." Goten thanked Chronoa as he handed the time scroll that he was holding to her.

"It's not a big problem." She said as she disappeared after Goten thanked her.

"Oh my, is that?" Whis asked as he saw another person that was inside the time machine that Goku and the other came back from.

"That idiot?" Beerus also cursed at Goku as he knew that he was responsible for the mess that they were now in.

Goku, somehow have brought the Zeno from the Future Trunks's timeline to the present.
