Dragon Ball Odd Future

Chapter 1: Prologue/Chapter 1 Crash and Crawl

This story takes place after the Cell Saga in Dragon Ball Z (Age 788). Trunks has gone back to his timeline and gotten rid of the Cell and the Androids in his time. Now he is enjoying an era of peace. Little did he know that his actions had caused a great change to occur in his timeline.Traversing through the vast expanse of the galaxy, a meteor hurtles through the darkness, its trajectory set towards a verdant and thriving planet known as Earth. This planet has endured a tumultuous past, with the threat of ruthless cyborgs having nearly caused the extinction of the human race. In the aftermath of this cataclysmic event, the survivors have worked tirelessly to rebuild society and restore the planet to its former glory. And now, in these times of healing and renewal, a new story is about to unfold.
Our story begins at night in West City, where we see a blue-haired woman named Bulma Briefs, the owner of the biggest company in the world, Capsule Corp., using a telescope to gaze into the stars.

It was a night not different from any other at Capsule Corp. Bulma Briefs was working diligently to return her business to its previous state.

During the less busy nights, she would stare through her father's telescope, continuing his research on outer space and remembering the father she missed dearly.

Looking through the telescope and staring at the vast reaches of space, she sees a small meteor that doesn't seem to pose a threat to the planet on impact. She calls over her son to show him what she's just found.

"Hey, Trunks, come over here; I found something I'm going to need your help with."

A young man with lavender hair wearing a white shirt with blue long sleeves and the Capsule Corporation title on the chest, along with grey sweatpants and blue boots, walks over to her. "Everything alright, Mom?" Do you need a new part for Grandpa's old observatory? "I'm honestly still impressed by how well you keep this area."

Bulma then asks her son to look through the scope to show him what she's looking at. "Do you see that trunk?"

Trunks said with a bit of perplexity, "Seems to be a stray meteor headed for Earth; by my hypothesis, judging by its trajectory, it looks like it'll land in a nearby forest."

Bulma responds, "Exactly, and I wanted to know if you could go and check it out." Maybe even bring it back if you can. Having resources from outer space could be beneficial for future projects. "It's still hard to even get materials right now with the world still healing."

Trunks nods, saying, "No problem; it'd be safer to check it out myself anyway; there could be more to this meteor. You never know what could be out in space; I'll be sure to call if I find anything intriguing about the meteor before bringing it in."

Bulma: Before you go, take this. Bulma passes her son a strange-looking capsule with the logo CCC.

Trunks, looking a bit confused, says, "I don't recognize this Caspulse model." "What exactly is this, Mom?"

Bulma: "It's a new capsule I'm working on with the ability to capture objects without assigning them to a capsule." Just throw it at the asteroid and let my capsule take care of itself. I'm considering calling it the catch capsule, but I'm not sure yet. It's still a prototype, so return as soon as you can." I don't know how long it could contain an object from outer space."

Trunks: "Got it, okay, Mom, I'm off." "I'll be back before you know it."

Filled with an immense sense of determination, Trunks sprang forward with a sudden burst of energy and bolted outside into the open air. With the wind whipping through his hair, he soared effortlessly higher and higher into the sky, his eyes scanning the horizon as he prepared to embark on his crucial search.1

At precisely 8:33 PM, an unforeseen event occurred when a meteor violently collided with the outskirts of West City, striking a nearby forest with tremendous force. The deafening thud that ensued caused a sudden commotion, frightening away all the animals and insects in the area. The impact of the meteor created an enormous crater that decimated the landscape, obliterating anything in its path. The aftermath of the collision resulted in a thick and swirling cloud of smoke and dust that enveloped the surrounding area, persisting until it cooled down.

Cracks and dents appear all over the meteor. The impact on the planet left it in a catastrophic state. Then, from the cracks, something emerged: pink goo leaking out into the ground. As it escaped its rocky cocoon, it began locomotion by oozing or slithering in its amorphous state, leaving the site and entering the forest.1

Trunks arrived as quickly as he could to the scene and inspected the meteor. He quickly reaches for his phone to call his mother to discuss the matter.Trunks: Hey Mom, you there? I've made it to the meteor. It's taken some impact damage, but it seems to still be holding itself together quite well.

Bulma's voice brimming with excitement: "Amazing trunks!" Use the capsule I gave you and get some distance from it! You'll be able to...

Trunks then interrupts her to say, "Hold on a minute, Mom, I think I see something inside the meteor."

As Trunks carefully extracts tiny fragments from the object, he starts to wonder if this is a meteor. Something about it seems off, and he can't shake the feeling that he may have stumbled upon something more worrisome.

Returning the scene to the ooze-like creature, it roamed the woods in a senseless manner. It appears to be searching for something, but what might it be seeking?

On its journey through the forest, it hears a noise it hasn't recognized traversing the world; it sounds like someone who's crying. It moves toward this new sound as it notices the noise coming from a wooden home1 in the middle of the wilderness.
