Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Return of Danger
Under the dark sky filled with twinkling stars, Adam stood on top of a towering mountain. The air was still, but the silence carried with it a strange sense of danger. As his soul glowed with energy gained from years of training and battles, he suddenly felt a vibration in his soul, as if a strange call was pulling him into the unknown.
The system appeared as usual with its familiar metallic voice:
> **"Alert! New mission: A weakness in the seal has been detected. Check the location immediately."**
**"Seal?"** Adam spoke to himself, a mixture of anticipation and fear in his voice.
**"If the system is warning me, then it must be serious."**
He wasted no time. Using his advanced teleportation technique, he closed his eyes and focused on the strange energy he sensed. In an instant, he disappeared from his location and appeared in a remote area of the Seventh Universe, where black rocks surrounded a deep valley that was filled with a foul and frightening energy.
The ground was shaking slightly, as if it was breathing heavily. As he approached, he saw what appeared to be an intricate symbol carved into the rock, glowing a faint golden hue. This was the seal, but it looked… cracked. Lines of negative energy seeped out of it, striking the air and leaving a suffocating feeling around the place.
**"This… isn't good."** Adam said, his vocal cords tensing with worry.
Before he could touch the seal or attempt to repair it, the valley shook violently, as if a volcano was about to erupt. From the cracks forming in the ground, dense black energy emerged, gathering in front of him to form a human figure.
The figure was tall, imposing, and its eyes glowed a demonic red. Long white hair rippled with the unnatural winds surrounding it, and a wicked smile appeared on its face. Its presence was enough to paralyze the place with an energy that overflowed with power and dominance.
"Finally… I freed myself." His voice was deep, as if he was speaking from the depths of the universe itself.
Adam felt an immense pressure from just this being's presence alone. Without the need for a system, he knew he was facing something beyond anything he had ever faced before.
The system immediately appeared:
"Warning! Entity identified: Zyral, former God of Destruction. Power Level: 12. Warning: Fighting with him may result in death."
"12?!" Adam was shocked, trying to comprehend the power of the entity in front of him. He knew that Beerus, the God of Destruction of the Seventh Universe, had a power level of 10, and that this difference meant a lot.
"Who are you?" Adam asked, trying to maintain his composure.
Zyral smiled sarcastically. "Me? I'm the nightmare that the universe tried to forget." He turned around, as if examining the place. "It's been centuries since I've felt this air. But it seems like things have changed a lot."
In Zyral's head, thoughts were swirling rapidly. He had sensed Adam's energy since the moment he was freed, but he knew that it wasn't the right time to fight.
"His energy is interesting, but it's too low to pose a real threat. The real problem is the Angel..." Zyral thought to himself, his eyes narrowing.
He knew very well that the Angel in charge of the Seventh Universe, Whis, would be monitoring any abnormal activity in the universe. If he unleashed his full power, Whis would immediately sense it. And Zeral, despite his strength, did not want to face an Angel at this time.
"Not now. I will leave and plan my true return later."
"I will not allow you to stay here and wreak havoc." Adam said firmly.
Zeral laughed lightly, as if he enjoyed Adam's words. "You are impressive, human. But you are not yet ready to understand my power, let alone face me."
Adam wanted to move, to attack, but he realized that the energy surrounding Raxel was different. It was too dark to handle, as if it was twisting reality itself.
The moment he decided to attack, Zeral raised his hand. "Don't waste your time, human. We have a lot to do, but not now."
In a flash of black light, Zeral disappeared, leaving behind a trail of dark energy that gradually faded away.
Adam stood still, watching where Zeral had been standing moments ago. He felt frustrated that he hadn't been able to stop him, but he knew that the confrontation back then would have ended in disaster.
The system reappeared:
"Alert: Zeral used advanced stealth technology. He is currently untraceable."
"He escaped…" Adam thought to himself, clenching his fist in anger.
He sat on the edge of the broken seal, trying to make sense of the situation. He knew that things were going to get worse, and that he needed to prepare for what was coming.
Adam sat next to the broken seal, trying to gather his thoughts. He knew that this wasn't the end of it, it seemed like it was just the beginning.
"If Zeral is free now, what's next?" Adam wondered.
Adam stood up, gathering his strength and determination. He didn't have time to feel discouraged or afraid. He was in this world not only to learn and grow, but also to protect the balance he knew so well from his previous life.
"If I have to face a Level 12 God of Destruction, I'll need to level up even more. That means extra training… and a lot of planning."
The System: "Suggestion: You can look for allies in the Seventh Universe to face Zyral."
Adam smiled lightly. "Allies? In this universe? Maybe… But first, I need to make sure I'm fully prepared."
However, he had doubts about how much he could stand up to this ancient being, especially knowing how powerful Zyral was. But he was certain of one thing: he had come to this world with the System for a reason, and he wouldn't let down the opportunity he was given.
