Chapter 1: Chapter One: Into the Light
Darkness was all Adam knew after his death. There was no sensation of a body, no sound, no senses—just an endless void surrounding him from all directions. A long time had passed, or perhaps no time at all; time did not exist here.
"Is this the end?" Adam wondered, speaking in a voice that no one could hear—not even himself. A feeling of being lost washed over him, but it quickly faded when he noticed something strange in the void: tiny specks of light, barely visible.
The white specks floated in the darkness like stars in a distant sky, but they began moving toward him. Adam felt the first speck touch his soul, like a surge of life coursing through him. It wasn't a physical sensation but something deeper, as if that speck restored a part of his essence.
"What is this?" he wondered again, this time with greater curiosity.
One by one, the white specks were drawn to him. With each one that entered his soul, he felt a significant change. The sensation was strange, as if these specks carried ancient knowledge and energy he couldn't comprehend. With each speck, his soul seemed to ascend to a higher level.
"How many are there?" He tried counting them but soon realized it was futile. He was completely engulfed by the specks.
There was no way to measure time here, but he was certain this had been going on for a long time—perhaps months, maybe years. Eventually, he no longer cared, as each speck filled him with a sense of purity and strength.
One day—if time here could even be measured in days—something unexpected happened. Amid the infinite darkness, a large point of light appeared, unlike the smaller specks. The light was so bright that Adam felt it piercing through the surrounding void.
"The light... finally!" Adam whispered, feeling true joy for the first time in an eternity.
Without much thought, he began to move toward the light. Nothing held him back; nothing else mattered. The closer he got, the brighter and warmer the light became.
When he reached the light, he touched it eagerly. Upon contact, a strong warmth surged through his soul, like a purifying fire. The sensation was intense but not painful; instead, it was filled with energy and life.
Then, suddenly, everything faded away.
When he awoke, Adam was lying on soft ground, with the sun shining above him. The feeling of wind on his face and the earth beneath his body was something he hadn't experienced in what felt like an eternity.
He slowly opened his eyes, and upon seeing the clear blue sky, he felt a mix of relief and confusion. "Where am I?" he asked aloud, this time hearing his own voice clearly and strongly.
He tried to stand up, feeling his body for the first time in ages. He wasn't sure if this was his old body or not. He felt strength coursing through his veins, more than he had ever felt in his previous life.
Standing up, he looked around. He was in an open space filled with greenery, with mountains in the distance. The air was pure, and the scenery was breathtaking. Yet, something about this place felt strangely familiar.
As he walked, Adam noticed small flying creatures resembling dinosaurs and oddly shaped trees. These sights intrigued him, evoking a sense of familiarity he couldn't quite place.
Then he saw something that made him stop in his tracks: a small, round house, exactly like the ones in the *Dragon Ball* world. His mind froze for a moment, trying to convince himself he was imagining things.
"Impossible... this can't be what I think it is!"
But as he moved closer, he became certain. This place looked exactly like the world he had watched throughout his life. Memories flooded back—all those days spent watching Goku and his friends in their incredible battles. The world he had lived through a screen was now a reality before his eyes.
As he approached the house, a man stepped out, someone strikingly familiar. Adam's heart raced. The man looked like **Master Roshi**, but there was something slightly different.
"Who are you?" the man asked, eyeing Adam warily.
Adam hesitated before answering. "I... my name is Adam. I think I'm lost."
Master Roshi studied him carefully. "Well, this isn't a place people come to easily. How did you get here?"
Adam didn't know what to say. He couldn't explain what was happening to him, but now he was certain: this was the *Dragon Ball* world.
Adam had no idea what awaited him, but he felt that fate had brought him here for a reason. This wasn't just a coincidence. He had endured the darkness for so long, and now he stood in a new world full of excitement and danger.
He looked up at the clear sky and took a deep breath. "If I'm really in the *Dragon Ball* world... there must be an adventure waiting for me."
And so began Adam's journey in a world he never expected to be part of.
