Chapter 102: Chapter 86 Five years! Another five years! (Part 1)
Time flies, and five years and three months pass in the blink of an eye.
Age 745.
On Planet Frieza No. 3.
Inside the grand and opulently decorated imperial palace.
At this time, Frieza would usually be either enjoying life or admiring the vast expanse of his galactic empire! But today, he was in no mood for such pleasures, for he had received a specially published novel from his elder brother Cooler, titled: "Saiyan: Escaping from the Planet Vegeta."
The content of the novel involved the Saiyans, it involved him! And it also involved his Frieza Force!
Five years.
For a full five years, it was only today he discovered that a group of Saiyan monkeys had been secretly opposing him, which made him feel embarrassed.
Worse still, his supposedly loyal subordinates had concealed this information from him, leading to significant losses for his forces. In recent months, not only had control of numerous planets slipped from his grasp, but countless soldiers had also lost their lives as a result.
Reading the five-year report in his hands, Frieza's expression was as dark as it could be.
It had been a long time since he'd felt this furious.
A heavy, oppressive aura spread throughout the palace.
"Can someone tell me who made the decision? Who dared suppress this information and keep it from me?" Frieza's intimidating tone left everyone in the throne room too afraid to speak or even breathe heavily.
What enraged Frieza the most wasn't just this—it was the fact that Cooler had been laughing at him behind his back! Cooler had known everything from the start, but he had been left completely in the dark.
It was originally a minor issue, and if he had known earlier, he could have nipped it in the bud.
But as minor issues piled up, these foolish subordinates not only failed to eliminate those Saiyan monkeys but also allowed them to grow stronger over time, leading to the current situation.
It was unforgivable.
"No one wants to answer? Do you all think I've become easy to deceive? Or perhaps you've forgotten just how ruthless I can be?" Furious, Frieza's eyes shot out a Death Beam.
The soldier who had handed him the report didn't even have time to speak before the beam pierced his forehead, ending his life instantly.
The room plunged into a deathly silence. No one dared to move, let alone speak.
Frieza was utterly ruthless, his gaze sweeping over everyone before finally settling on two subordinates who were sweating profusely and trembling uncontrollably.
"Is it you two?" I recall Ginyu personally recommending you, claiming your power levels were as high as 30,000 and that you were worth raising…" Frieza's gaze was fierce, and the two core combatants with power levels of thirty thousand trembled even more visibly.
"Lord Frieza, it wasn't us! We know nothing about this!"
"We only received this information recently ourselves! Captain Ginyu tasked us with investigating, but we haven't had the chance to act yet!"
Frieza, upon hearing this, suddenly broke into a smile. "Oh? So, you're saying you've already begun organizing an effective counterattack, correct?"
"Yes, yes! Lord Frieza, please give us one month."
"After a month... no, no! In half a month, we will definitely kill those Saiyan monkeys!"
"Hoh hoh hoh~~! Is half a month really enough? I despise incompetents who make promises they can't keep."
The atmosphere in the room shifted abruptly. While others might not have realized it, Zarbon and Dodoria, Frieza's aides, could already foresee what was about to happen. Cold sweat poured down their faces, and they didn't dare to breathe too loudly.
They knew all too well that Frieza was utterly furious. Anyone who displeased him in the slightest was as good as dead.
Even they, as his aides, could be killed by Frieza at any moment.
As expected, two more Death Beams instantly claimed the lives of the two soldiers.
These were no ordinary soldiers—they were captain-level with power levels of 30,000, yet Frieza didn't bat an eye.
To him, useless subordinates were nothing but a nuisance.
"Five years! Five entire years! And yet a handful of wild monkeys have managed to cause this much commotion—each incident more bigger than the last. You are my most capable subordinates, yet now you are silent like a bunch of mutes!"
"Zarbon, Dodoria. Tell me—what do you think I should do?!"
Frieza's low voice carried an overwhelming killing intent. His rage had swelled to a point where it was becoming harder to suppress.
If it weren't for Zarbon and Dodoria always being by his side, he would have held them accountable as well.
This was both a reminder and a warning.
"I don't care if there's a spy among us, nor do I care how you've handled things in the past. What I want now is a proper plan! I want to see the corpses of those Saiyan monkeys in the shortest time possible!" Frieza warned once more.
His blood-red eyes flashed with sharp killing intent, and his tail, irritated by his foul mood, lashed against the ground, creating numerous cracks.
The pressure now rested squarely on Zarbon and Dodoria.
They knew Frieza's temperament well. If they didn't provide a satisfactory answer, their fate would likely be the same as those two useless fools.
If even his aides had no plans, could they still be called aides?
Dodoria's IQ was never high; he could handle fighting, but asking him to think about these issues was asking too much.
He looked at Zarbon. At this moment, only Zarbon could get them through this crisis.
Under the looming threat of death, Zarbon's mind raced. Within moments, a brilliant idea began to take shape. He refined the idea quickly into a comprehensive plan.
"Lord Frieza, I have devised a plan. I wonder if it will work?" Zarbon respectfully requested.
"Oh? Let's hear it," Frieza replied, his interest piqued as his demeanor completely changed, awaiting Zarbon's explanation.
"Since those Saiyans have been intercepting our intelligence, why don't we use that against them? We could feed them false information and lure them into a trap…. We could disguise a barren planet as our next mission target and claim that it holds extremely valuable resources that must be seized. As long as we can lure those Saiyans to come, we can capture them all at once." As Zarbon laid out the plan, everyone in the room perked up, their ears tuned intently to his words.
Frieza immediately laughed. Zarbon's proposal was excellent and exactly what he wanted.
"Ho ho ho ho~!! Excellent, as expected of my capable subordinate! But, which planet do you plan to use? And which combat personnel will you send to ambush them there?
"According to the data on the intelligence report, that Saiyan named Talot seems to have a power level exceeding 40,000. Even if you and Dodoria teamed up, you probably wouldn't be a match for that Saiyan monkey."
Frieza's blood-red eyes scrutinized Zarbon and Dodoria, his tone dripping with mockery.
Zarbon's expression instantly turned grim. A power level of 40,000 was simply beyond his ability to handle. Even with Dodoria's help, they would be instantly crushed.
Seeing Zarbon's embarrassed expression, Frieza smiled and let it go, not making things difficult for him.
After all, Zarbon was his advisor, and even in such a situation, he had managed to come up with this plan.
"I know your power levels well. Dealing with a Saiyan monkey whose power level exceeds 40,000 is indeed difficult. Not just you two, even if we added nearly all the captains here, it would still be a tough task."
"Take this plan to Captain Ginyu. I believe Captain Ginyu won't disappoint me again."
"Also, this plan is only known to those of us here. If the enemy catches wind of it or if outsiders find out... ho ho ho ho~~!"
Frieza didn't finish his sentence. After his oppressive laughter, he casually waved his hand, signaling everyone to leave.
Frieza wasn't foolish. When it comes to intelligence and cunning, he was absolutely top-notch.
After Zarbon presented this plan, Frieza had already begun formulating further schemes.
Who was the traitor? He truly wanted to know.
[My dear little Vegeta, could it be you? Or is there really someone else in the army who has betrayed me? Or perhaps, is it you, big brother, who is pulling the strings from behind?]
But, in reality, Frieza didn't know that there was actually no traitor; their entire information network has been infiltrated by the system of Talot's spaceship, allowing them to intercept any information.
