Chapter 18: Chapter 18
"Very well, Mr. Whis. If I can tear through space, I hope you can give me some pointers on my training."
Katakana looked at Whis seriously.
Although his current strength was already formidable, Katakana had always been fascinated by the Angel's divine abilities, especially those displayed by Whis in the original story.
The ability to reverse time for three minutes was a hundred times better than Hit's time-skipping technique.
If he could learn it himself, defeating a God of Destruction in the future wouldn't be difficult.
He might even stand a chance against Angels.
"Hoho! Naturally, Mr. Katakana, that won't be a problem."
Whis smiled, not expecting such a condition.
In fact, even if Katakana hadn't brought it up, Whis would have guided him as long as he showed extraordinary talent.
After all, apart from Lord Beerus and himself, the Seventh Universe lacked powerful warriors.
If Whis needed to train a future candidate for God of Destruction, it would be a headache without promising candidates.
If Katakana demonstrated exceptional strength and talent, Whis would undoubtedly recruit him.
"Alright!"
Seeing Whis agree so readily, Katakana wasted no time.
His right hand formed into a blade of energy.
"Void Scythe!"
He summoned the Void Scythe in the same form as before.
"Huh? Void Scythe? Now this... is interesting!"
Whis squinted and spoke in a deep voice as he observed the giant rose-colored scythe in Katakana's hand.
"Whoosh!"
Katakana slashed through the air.
Three rose-colored energy blades shot out, instantly tearing three cracks into space.
"It actually tore through space..."
Whis stroked his chin thoughtfully.
This was the first time he had seen such an ability.
An ability that could instantly tear through space was remarkable.
"Mr. Katakana, do you know where these spatial rifts lead?"
Whis pointed toward the cracks in the distance and asked.
"I have no idea. They could lead to another time and space, or perhaps even the gates of hell."
Katakana shook his head. He wasn't entirely sure—after all, even Goku Black in the original story hadn't figured it out.
What was certain, however, was that this ability was incredibly powerful.
The problem was that Goku Black hadn't fully utilized its potential.
"Hoho! Interesting."
"Mr. Katakana, I believe your ability has significant room for evolution. If refined, it might become extremely powerful!"
Whis smiled slightly, subtly extending an olive branch to Katakana.
Katakana could see this clearly.
His face showed astonishment as he asked, "Really, Mr. Whis? You think this move of mine can evolve further and become a very powerful ability?"
Katakana's acting was quite convincing.
But he didn't doubt Whis' words.
He also believed this ability was extraordinary—otherwise, it wouldn't be capable of tearing space apart so effortlessly.
Goku Black simply hadn't made good use of it.
But that didn't matter now.
Katakana trusted Whis' judgment. If Whis said it could be improved, then it definitely could be.
"Well, I'm not entirely sure, but it's very possible."
"How about it, Mr. Katakana? Are you interested in coming to the God of Destruction's world with me?"
"Trust me, it's a place better suited for Training. You'll grow stronger faster there, and I'll guide your training personally!"
Whis elbowed Katakana playfully, even making a funny face.
Naturally, Katakana wouldn't refuse such an invitation.
But just as he was about to agree, the system's voice echoed in his mind.
[Ding! The sign-in task has been refreshed. The host is required to rush to the scene of the Cell Games on Earth within three minutes and save the Z Fighters by defeating Cell!]
"Three... three minutes..."
Hearing the task conditions, Katakana couldn't help but complain.
But there was no choice—the system's tasks always yielded incredible rewards.
Last time, it granted him unlimited Instant Transmission. The time before, it was Kaio-ken without side effects.
Who knew what the reward would be this time?
There was no way Katakana would miss a system task!
"What's wrong, Mr. Katakana?"
Whis noticed Katakana standing in silence and asked curiously.
"Ahem, it's nothing, Mr. Whis. Of course, I'd love to go to the God of Destruction's world to train."
"But since I want to ask you for guidance, I must prepare a proper gift."
"So I'd like to ask for three days to return to my hometown and prepare some delicacies. How about we meet back here in three days?"
Katakana smiled lightly.
He knew Whis well enough to understand his love for food.
In this situation, Whis would never refuse.
"Food!!"
"Hoho... I didn't expect you to think of that, Mr. Katakana."
"Very well, I'll wait for you here in three days."
Whis covered his mouth and laughed softly.
After bidding farewell, Katakana didn't waste a second.
He immediately teleported back to Earth using Instant Transmission!
