Chapter 11: Chapter 11
"Hmph!"
"Vados, based on what you're saying, this person can't be a deity with priestly duties, right?"
"Since he holds no priesthood, there's nothing to worry about!"
Upon hearing Vados' words, a sinister expression returned to Champa's face.
If the opponent had been a deity of the Seventh Universe, even as the God of Destruction from the Sixth Universe, Champa would have had no right to directly destroy him.
As long as Beerus, the God of Destruction from the Seventh Universe, was alive, any issues involving his universe would need to be handled by Beerus himself.
It wouldn't be Champa's place to intervene.
Moreover, if Champa were to forcefully kill a deity from another universe, not only would Beerus come after him, but even the Grand Priest wouldn't spare him.
But now it was different.
Since it was confirmed that Katakana held no priesthood, then as far as Champa was concerned, he was just a pesky Mortal.
Killing him wouldn't matter at all.
Nobody would investigate or challenge the God of Destruction for eliminating an ordinary Mortal.
Even if it were discovered, nobody would bother holding a God of Destruction accountable for a mere mortal.
"Lord Champa," Vados interjected.
"I think it's best to let this matter go. After all, our purpose here is simply to gather the Super Dragon Balls."
"If you cause too much trouble, Lord Beerus might find out."
"If that happens, gathering the remaining Super Dragon Balls from the Seventh Universe will become even more difficult."
"And I believe he's just an ordinary Mortal. He won't affect our plan in any way, so why not let him go and take the Super Dragon Ball first?"
Vados knew Champa's personality all too well.
Since the target had no priestly role, Champa had likely already decided to kill him.
However, Vados didn't want that to happen.
After all, Katakana hadn't committed any real offense—he had merely stumbled upon their theft of the Super Dragon Ball.
From the divine aura radiating from Katakana, it was also clear that his strength was no joke.
If a battle broke out, things would become even more complicated if Lord Beerus noticed.
So, for many reasons, Vados wanted to prevent this fight.
"Stop your nonsense, Vados!"
"I understand that letting him go won't impact our plan. But this Mortal pest dares to challenge the dignity of a God of Destruction—he must pay in blood!"
"Otherwise, who will ever respect the God of Destruction again?"
Champa's tone was icy and resolute.
To him, there was no room for negotiation.
This Mortal had to pay the price for his arrogance and foolishness.
"You just won't listen to reason, will you? If Lord Champa insists, I won't argue further," Vados said with a frown.
"Just remember to control your strength."
"If Lord Beerus does find out, I won't be responsible for you!"
Seeing her persuasion was useless, Vados spoke in a displeased tone.
Although her strength surpassed Champa's, as an Angel, her role was to assist and supervise the God of Destruction.
Defying Champa's decisions was not permitted.
Vados understood this, so she decided not to block him further.
"Tch! Vados, just watch from over there."
"Since this guy dares to ignore the dignity of a God of Destruction, even if that idiot Beerus himself shows up today, I'll make him pay!"
Champa cast a cold glance at Vados, his decision unshaken.
He was determined to teach Katakana a harsh lesson.
No amount of persuasion would change his mind.
---
"I admit the power of a God of Destruction is truly formidable," Katakana said calmly, his pink hair shimmering in divine light.
"But if you think you can kill me, go ahead and try!"
Although Katakana wasn't sure he could defeat Champa, he was confident that as long as Champa didn't use the power of destruction or the laws of annihilation, the outcome was uncertain.
After all, Katakana still had a trump card—the 20x Kaio-ken!
---
"You damn brat!"
"I never expected even a Mortal pest from the Seventh Universe to dare speak to me, the God of Destruction, like this!"
"If you're so eager to die, I'll gladly oblige!"
Champa's eyes narrowed, a chilling light flashing within them.
Katakana could sense Champa's power rising dramatically.
A layer of lavender energy enveloped Champa's entire body.
It was clear that Champa was now serious.
"You wretched Mortal, I'll show you the fate of defying a God of Destruction!"
The moment Champa's voice fell, his body transformed into a flash of purple light, darting forward with astonishing speed.
This time, he was even faster than before.
However, having transformed into a Super Saiyan God, Katakana could still barely track Champa's movements.
He immediately dodged to the side, evading Champa's attack.
But Champa merely grinned wickedly.
"Do you really think you can avoid the attacks of a God of Destruction? How naive!"
As he spoke, Champa unleashed a fierce kick.
"What...!?"
Katakana was caught off guard by the ferocity of Champa's attack.
Instinctively, he crossed his arms in front of his chest to block.
Boom!
Champa's foot connected, sending Katakana flying like a cannonball.
He crashed through two small planets before finally stabilizing himself, looking disheveled.
Cough, cough...
"So this is the power of a God of Destruction—utterly terrifying."
Katakana wiped the corner of his mouth, his brows furrowing.
Even though Champa was considered the weakest among the 12 Gods of Destruction, his strength was still overwhelming.
"Is the weakest God of Destruction already this strong? Their power is truly abnormal!"
Champa sneered.
"A pest is still a pest. Are you about to surrender now?"
"Heh! Even if you beg for mercy, I won't let you off!"
Champa grinned smugly.
But Katakana's expression turned serious.
"It's too early to say that, Lord Champa!"
A confident smile crept onto Katakana's face.
He roared, "Kaio-ken! 20 times!"
