The object was a mini-grimoire that fell right on the bed.

'At least now I have a cultivation technique to absorb the Apex energy from the air. Who knew what I would have had to do to obtain this elsewhere?'

'With this, I can focus on raising the Ice Apex energy I obtained from bonding with Isha and should naturally increase the power of my skills too. The 1800 points for it are no doubt worthy...' Ryuk mused.

He had bought this particular technique because it was the highest-grade one he could afford without being selfish. While he had been tempted to buy the one for 3000 points, doing so would have left nothing for Isha.

So, he decided to step down and buy this.

There was always a chance to earn more purchase points in the future, and then he could think of buying a new one.

Besides, the technique was also the one that could be cultivated without requiring an ice cultivation setting. He could basically cultivate it anywhere. It was a massive advantage to him.

While Ryuk was busy settling down his inner greed and convincing himself that he had made the right choice, Isha was busy staring at the two large cubes on the bed.

As for the small white dish-like object at the side, it paid it absolutely no attention.

Of course, Isha's eyes were no doubt on the two Polar Essence Cubes. Each cube was as large as a full-grown man's clenched fist, and they seemed incredibly tempting.

The little creature knew not why, but it could feel as if it would undergo a major transformation into something beyond its current self if it feasted on what was before it.

And so, it immediately slithered toward the cube while Ryuk was still convincing his greed.

When Ryuk finally settled his inner greed and refocused on Isha's nutrition, he was dumbfounded at the sight of Isha swallowing up the second cube and forcing it down its small maw.

BEEELCHHH

A loud, inhuman belch rang out through the room as Isha looked at the last plate of Frost-Fed Delicacies, but it simply eyed it before ignoring it like the plague.

"What the hell just happened?" Ryuk asked in shock as he looked at the tiny snake and found its end bulging suspiciously, as if two large cubes had been sent into its stomach.

Isha could barely move from the feast it just had, and Ryuk soon watched as it gave him a feeling of satisfaction assaulting his chest before it dropped onto the bed, almost lifelessly.

'Did it suffocate from swallowing those large cubes?' Ryuk wondered, alarmed.

His shock at Isha swallowing 1000 points in one go faded into thin air as he picked the tiny snake up, but it didn't even stir.

[Worry not, Host. Isha has devoured two whole Polar Cubes, something that should have been carefully fed to it over two weeks, in one gulp.]

[This has caused it to immediately undergo a slumber, as the Polar Essence Cube gets to work.]

[Right now, Isha's growth will be greatly accelerated from the abundant nutrients, and the only way it could manage this acceleration is by going into a natural slumber.]

[So right now, Isha is only in slumber to properly utilize the nutrients obtained from the Polar Cubes.]

'Oh,' Ryuk exhaled loudly, but his eyes soon narrowed.

"And how long will its slumber take?" he asked.

[That is unknown, Host. I can only say it will be based on how pure Isha's bloodline is. The purer the bloodline, the faster it could digest the Apex nutrients present in the treasures. Still, I would say a minimum of three days is at least required,] the system answered promptly.

Ryuk's attention focused on Isha, and with a simple will, the tiny snake disappeared from his hands and instantly reappeared in the center of the Pet World, coiled up peacefully.

Ryuk looked at the snowy little guy for a while before taking his consciousness away from the Pet World.

'Right now, it is a little weak anyway. It would be better if it stayed in slumber in the Pet World. Hopefully, when it awakens, I won't be scared of someone accidentally hurting it by simply placing a hand on its head...' Ryuk thought to himself.

His eyes returned to look at the remaining ice dish on the bed, and he transferred it back into the shop space—an added feature of the Shop Tablet.

It allowed Ryuk to store objects bought from the shop into a space within the shop.

Now that he had opened the Primordial Gate and settled Isha for the next few days, he couldn't help but direct his attention back to the Apex Codex.

He had yet to finish the book and had only read up to the Primordial Gate opening page. Now, he needed to comprehend the rest of the content.

And so, he walked to the table and quietly began reading the next section of the page.
