Douluo:Heaven’s Rejected Monarch

Chapter 2: A Deal with a Dying World

Bill Cipher drifted through the endless void, his body breaking apart, barely holding on. He should have been erased, wiped out completely. But he refused to disappear.

Then, he heard it. A voice. No, not a voice. A will.

It wasn't the sound of people begging for mercy or some demon whispering in the dark. This was something bigger. Something ancient.

It was a world itself.

"You who wander between existence and nothingness. You who refuse to die. I offer you a path, a purpose, and a new existence. But in return, you will bear my will and my curse. The balance has been shattered, and I am fading. If you accept, you shall be reborn, and in time, you will help set me free."

Bill's essence flickered, struggling between destruction and rebirth.

A deal.

Oh, he loved those.

And this wasn't just any contract. This was a world's will offering him a way in.

A wide grin spread across his shifting form.

"HAHAHAHA! WELL, HOW COULD I SAY NO TO THAT?!"

He let go, letting the pull of the world guide him. Reality twisted, and his essence descended.

Meanwhile in a dark alley. Damp. Filthy. Forgotten.

Somewhere in that lifeless space, a boy lay dying.

His body was wrecked, wounds deep, breath weak. His black hair was soaked in sweat and blood, his red eyes dull, barely open. The cold air bit at his skin, but he barely felt it.

He was fading.

No one would save him. No one even knew he was here.

Then, from the sky, a golden light came down.

It moved slowly, drifting through the air like a falling star. Silent, unseen, yet impossibly heavy, like the entire world was pushing it forward.

The boy's soul was weak, broken, and slipping away. It reached for the light.

The second they connected, the golden light rushed into his chest.

Inside him, something exploded.

His soul, already hanging by a thread, was hit with something massive. A force unlike anything in this world.

Two powers clashed inside him.

One was dark, built from everything he had been before. The pain, the struggle, the refusal to give up. It was raw, stubborn, strong.

The other was golden, something completely foreign. It was bigger than him, older, filled with endless energy that didn't belong in this world.

They fought, crushed each other, and refused to give in.

His very existence twisted and shattered, breaking apart, only to rebuild itself stronger than before.

Then something changed.

Instead of destroying each other, the two powers started to fuse.

Not smoothly. It was violent, painful, chaotic. But in that chaos, something new was born.

His soul transformed.

Inside his mind, he could see his new form.

His right eye burned crimson, deeper and sharper than before, like a never-ending abyss filled with secrets no one should know.

His left eye turned gold, glowing with power, radiating something beyond gods and demons.

His black hair was now mixed with golden strands, shifting like liquid energy.

He wasn't just alive anymore.

He was something else. Something greater.

His new soul settled back into his body, fusing with his flesh and bones.
