Chapter 9: Chapter 9 :Bibi Dong’s Return to Spirit Hall
The golden rays of dawn seeped through the divine palace, casting an ethereal glow upon the marble floors. Krishna stirred awake, feeling the soft warmth beside him. Bibi Dong lay there, her breathing calm, her beauty magnified in the morning light.
A gentle smile graced his lips as he brushed a stray strand of hair from her face. Last night had been a night of union, of intertwining fates, and now, they stood on the precipice of something even greater.
As if sensing his gaze, Bibi Dong's eyes fluttered open, revealing the endless depths of her amethyst irises. A moment of silence passed between them before Krishna finally spoke.
"Good morning, my queen."
Bibi Dong stretched lazily, a rare sight of vulnerability crossing her usually stern demeanor. "Good morning, my husband," she replied softly. "Did you sleep well?"
Krishna chuckled. "With you by my side? Better than ever."
A soft blush dusted her cheeks, but she quickly composed herself. Sitting up, she focused on the energy coursing through her. "I feel whole today. Meeting you is truly wonderful."
Krishna nodded, his expression turning serious. "Your new red soul ring will arouse suspicion in Spirit Hall. That means we must be careful when presenting it before others, especially the Grand Priest."
Bibi Dong's expression turned contemplative. "You're right. The Grand Priest, being an Angel God's priest, will sense divinity within my soul ring. If he investigates further, he may discover the truth."
Krishna smirked. "That's why we will control the narrative. When he asks about it, you will tell him you have received a god's test and successfully completed the first trial. This will serve as the perfect explanation for your red ring."
Understanding dawned on Bibi Dong's face. "Since god trials are unique to each individual, even the Grand Priest won't be able to refute it. He will have no choice but to accept my explanation."
Krishna nodded. "Exactly. Furthermore, I will grant you divine energy to deter any malicious intent toward you. This powerful ring has given you two formidable soul skills."
Bibi Dong's eyes shone. "Yes, I have gained powerful soul skills."
She exhaled, reassured by his meticulous planning. "With this excuse, I can continue strengthening myself without suspicion."
Krishna reached out, cupping her face gently. "Not just that—we can always continue our meetings every night in my divine palace. No one will know."
Bibi Dong smiled. "Yes, I will come to sleep here every night."
Krishna smirked. "Exactly."
Then, Krishna added, "I will also bring the dean and vice-dean to meet you."
Bibi Dong hesitated, uncertainty flickering in her eyes. Krishna noticed and reassured her, "Don't worry, I will always love you. We will share our lives for eternity. But you might get bored, so having some sisters to share your time wouldn't be bad."
Bibi Dong smiled, warmth filling her gaze. "Yes… Thank you. I will always love you too, and I'm excited to meet them."
After freshening up, Krishna and Bibi Dong made their way to the divine dining hall. A grand feast awaited them, courtesy of Krishna's divine creation abilities—fruits brimming with celestial energy, golden honey-drizzled bread, and warm herbal tea infused with soul-nourishing properties.
Bibi Dong took a bite of the divine fruit and felt a surge of energy course through her. "I could get used to this," she mused with a smirk.
Krishna chuckled. "Then, I'll make sure you do."
They ate in comfortable silence, each lost in their thoughts. Once breakfast was finished, Krishna stretched lazily. "Time to return."
Bibi Dong sighed. "Back to reality."
Krishna extended his hand toward her. "Come, I'll take you back to the Martial Hall of the Heaven Dao Empire first."
She grasped his hand, and in a flash of divine light, they disappeared from the Kingdom of God.
Return to Spirit Hall
Moments later, they reappeared in a secluded chamber within the Martial Hall. The grandeur of the empire's strongest sect surrounded them, yet it paled in comparison to the divine majesty they had just left behind.
Bibi Dong released Krishna's hand reluctantly. "I will move cautiously. If anything arises, I will contact you."
Krishna nodded. "Be careful. The Grand Priest will undoubtedly notice your growth."
She smirked. "Let him notice. That will only make my rise more believable."
With a final glance, Bibi Dong turned and disappeared into the depths of the Martial Hall.
Krishna, watching her go, exhaled deeply before teleporting once more, this time directly to the academy. In an instant, he was back in his dorm, as if he had never left.
A knock on the door disrupted his thoughts.
"Krishna, you have returned," came the voice of the dean.
Suppressing a chuckle, he adjusted his clothes, wiped all traces of his divine presence, and stepped out, ready to continue his dual life—one as a student, the other as a god in the making.
The Grand Priest's Inquiry
Meanwhile, in Spirit Hall…
Bibi Dong entered the grand temple, her aura steady and composed. She could already sense the Grand Priest's presence looming within the sacred hall.
The moment she stepped forward, golden light surged as a powerful figure materialized before her. The Grand Priest, his white robes flowing, his angelic presence overwhelming, scrutinized her intensely.
"You have changed," he stated, his voice carrying divine authority.
Bibi Dong bowed respectfully. "Grand Priest, I have undergone my god's test. I have completed the first trial."
The Grand Priest's gaze sharpened. "A god's test?"
She nodded, summoning her new soul ring. The crimson glow pulsed with divine energy—the divinity Krishna had gifted her to protect herself.
The Grand Priest studied it carefully, his eyes narrowing. For a moment, tension filled the air. Then, he stepped back. "Indeed, this is divine power. You have completed the test… Train hard. And can you tell me which god granted it?"
Bibi Dong remained unfazed. "God trials are unique to each person. The divine will has chosen me, and I cannot reveal more."
A long silence followed before the Grand Priest finally nodded. "Very well. Since the divine will has acknowledged you, I shall do the same."
Relief surged through Bibi Dong, though she masked it well. "Thank you, Grand Priest."
With that, she turned and walked away, her steps steady, her heart triumphant. The first step of their plan had succeeded. Now, the real game would begin.
As she exited the hall, her thoughts drifted back to Krishna.
'We will take Spirit Hall. Slowly, but surely.'
