Dai Mubai's death wasn't discovered immediately because Ma Hongjun had mentioned that Dai Mubai had gone into the city to find some "company."

As a result, even though Dai Mubai didn't return that night, no one in Shrek Academy thought much of it. After all, this was typical behavior for Dai Mubai.

But by the next day, even as the matches were about to begin, Dai Mubai still hadn't returned. This was puzzling.

The atmosphere was heavy. The day's matches were about to start, but their strongest member, Dai Mubai, was nowhere to be seen.

Ma Hongjun muttered under his breath, "How many women did Dai老大 find this time? Is he so exhausted he can't even walk? I remember once he spent the whole night with a pair of twins and was still full of energy the next day."

Hearing this, the hot-tempered Liu Erlong couldn't help but sneer, "Flender, is this the kind of student you've taught? No sense of time at all. Did he die on some woman's bed?"

Hearing this, Tang San visibly shuddered. He led his teammates out of the rest area and onto the stage.

Once both teams were on the platform, the referee stepped aside and said, "Release your spirits and prepare for battle!"

In an instant, both teams summoned their spirits. Yellow and purple spirit rings rose from beneath their feet, illuminating the stage.

The Blazing Fire Academy team had two Soul Ancestors and five Soul Elders, while Shrek Academy had only Soul Elders.

This sight not only confused the audience but also infuriated the Blazing Fire Academy team.

The vice-captain, Huo Wu, stepped forward, hands on her hips, and coldly snapped, "Shrek, what's the meaning of this? You fielded a Soul Ancestor against the Elephant Armor Academy, but now you've taken him out? Are you looking down on us?"

It wasn't appropriate to explain that Dai Mubai had gone missing after a night out.   

As the vice-captain and core member of the team, Tang San had no choice but to grit his teeth and say, "No need for words. If you want to fight, let's fight!"

Huo Wu, hearing this, laughed in anger. She turned to her brother, Huo Wushuang, and said, "Brother, let's crush them in one go and show them what happens when they underestimate the Blazing Fire Academy."

Huo Wushuang, who shared his sister's fiery temper—a common trait among fire-attribute soul masters—exhaled a hot breath and said, "Alright, little sister. You scatter them, and I'll handle the rest."

The battle began quickly. Huo Wu activated her third spirit skill, "Resist Fire Ring." A ring of orange fire spread out from her, pushing the Shrek team members apart and disrupting their formation.

With their formation in disarray, Huo Wushuang took charge. As a Soul Ancestor with the high-level spirit, Unicorn Blazing Dragon, he led the charge. The rest of the Blazing Fire team followed suit, overwhelming Shrek in no time.

Even Ma Hongjun, whose Evil Fire Phoenix spirit gave him some resistance to fire, was no match for Huo Wushuang's Unicorn Blazing Dragon. He could only flee in panic.

As for Tang San, his performance was utterly lackluster. His Blue Silver Grass was no match for the fire-attribute soul masters. The moment his vines wrapped around an opponent, they were burned to ash.

"Oscar, Flying Mushroom Sausage!" Tang San shouted.

Oscar quickly produced a Flying Mushroom Sausage and handed it to Tang San. Tang San ate it, and transparent wings sprouted from his back. He flicked his wrist, and six Blue Silver Grass vines extended, wrapping around his teammates' waists.

Once again, Tang San lifted six people into the air.

But before they could catch their breath, Huo Wu shouted, "We were ready for this! Fourth Spirit Skill: Blazing Sun!"

Behind Huo Wu, an orange fire shadow gathered a massive amount of fire energy, forming a blazing orb in the sky that resembled a miniature sun.

The orb then hurtled toward Tang San and his team.

The Flying Mushroom Sausage granted the speed of a Phoenix-Tailed Serpent, but with six people in tow, Tang San couldn't dodge.

Boom!

The fireball exploded, severely injuring Tang San at its center. His Blue Silver Grass vines burned to ash, and his six teammates fell from the sky like dumplings, unable to continue the fight.

Without the Blazing Fire team needing to lift a finger, Shrek had already lost.

With a thud, Tang San landed on the ground. His body was charred, his eyes vacant, and his spirit broken.

He had expected to lose, but not so utterly. The humiliation overwhelmed him, and he passed out.
