Chapter 48: Chapter 48
Chapter 48: Thirty Meters per Second
"What? The Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect has that kind of rule?" Oscar looked at Ning Rongrong in shock.
Ning Rongrong was absolutely stunning—her short, neat hair framed a delicate face, her smooth skin was like fresh lychee, and she had a well-proportioned figure at about 1.65 meters tall. She looked like she belonged in a fairy tale.
Oscar swore to himself—this time, his feelings for Ning Rongrong were real.
"Yeah." Ning Rongrong nodded without hesitation.
"Alright, I get it… Rongrong, Boss Ye, I… I'm going to continue running." Oscar looked dejected, then turned and left.
"I finally got rid of him. Senior Brother, thanks a lot!" Ning Rongrong let out a relieved sigh and looked at Ye Feng with gratitude.
"You're welcome. It was just a small favor." Ye Feng chuckled before teasing, "Junior Sister, isn't it nice to have someone admire you? Why are you so eager to shake him off?"
"Idiot, of course, I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea." Ning Rongrong's cheeks flushed slightly as she shot Ye Feng a glare. Her tone sounded dismissive, but her eyes carried a hint of something else. Deep down, she knew Oscar liked her, and as a girl, that kind of attention was flattering. But at the same time, she already had someone else in her heart.
"You don't want anyone to misunderstand? So, you already have someone you like? Who is it? Should I help introduce you two?" Ye Feng asked with a smirk.
"Brother, sometimes you're really smart, but other times, you're as dumb as a pig!" Ning Rongrong pouted, staring at Ye Feng with a hint of resentment. Then, changing the subject, she huffed, "By the way, what's up with Flanders? He actually told me to run twenty laps. This is fucking impossible!"
As she spoke, she walked over to a stone at the side of the road and sat down.
Ye Feng remained standing while Ning Rongrong sat. They were quite close to each other, and after running for so long, she was drenched in sweat. Her soaked clothes clung to her body, outlining her developing figure.
Ning Rongrong suddenly felt Ye Feng's gaze and instinctively lowered her head, only to realize what he was looking at. Her face immediately turned red. She quickly adjusted her posture and turned her back to him, flustered. "Brother! Answer my question, damn it!"
"Ahem."
Ye Feng coughed awkwardly before asking, "Junior Sister, what did you just ask me?"
"I asked about Flanders! Why did he make Oscar and me run twenty laps? We've only done twelve, and it's already lunchtime. There's no way we can finish. This task is impossible! Screw it, if he won't let me eat in the cafeteria, I'll just head to the city and buy my own food!" Ning Rongrong declared with a sly grin.
"If you do that, you'll be walking right into Flanders' trap," Ye Feng said.
"A trap?"
Ning Rongrong turned back around, frowning. "What do you mean?"
"I mean Flanders is doing this on purpose. He noticed your spoiled attitude. There are five new students in Shrek Academy this year, and he chose you as an example to establish his authority." Ye Feng explained patiently.
"That bastard! He's targeting me just because I'm from the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect?" Ning Rongrong fumed, placing her hands on her hips.
"He's trying to fix that princess complex of yours. If I'm right, he probably spent last night researching all of our personalities and backgrounds." Ye Feng speculated.
"So that's why! I was wondering why he only made Oscar and me run. Turns out he's trying to mess with me!" Ning Rongrong gritted her teeth in frustration.
"Exactly. If you really give up on running, then you'll fall right into his trap. The moment you sneak off to Soto City, he'll use that against you. Hell, he's probably watching you from the shadows right now—don't forget, his martial spirit is the Four-Eyed Cat-Owl," Ye Feng warned.
"So what? Am I just supposed to take this bullshit lying down?" Ning Rongrong pouted.
"Junior Sister, there's something I want to say, but I'm not sure if I should…" Ye Feng hesitated, trying to hold back a grin.
"Just say it." Ning Rongrong huffed.
"Well… I think you should listen to him and not eat until you finish running. To be honest… you're kinda fat. You should probably lose some weight." Ye Feng chuckled.
"Fat?"
Ning Rongrong froze.
She suddenly remembered the night before, when Ye Feng carried her on his flying sword and had also called her fat. And now, he was saying it again!
"You bastard! You're my Senior Brother, and you're calling me fat?!" Ning Rongrong raised her pink fist and swung at Ye Feng.
Ye Feng didn't dare to stick around.
"Hahaha… Junior Sister, take your time running! I'm out of here!"
He dodged her punch and took off.
Ning Rongrong stood there with her hands on her hips, fuming. But once Ye Feng disappeared from sight, she looked down at her legs and waist. She pinched her abdomen but only found a tiny bit of fat.
"It's just a little chub… I'm not fat!" She muttered to herself.
Growl…
Her stomach rumbled.
She was starving, but thinking about what Ye Feng had just said, she clenched her teeth and made up her mind.
"Fine! I'll keep running!"

"What should I add next?"
Ye Feng stared at the holographic screen, deep in thought.
After multiple interventions, he had accumulated 193 allocable attribute points.
These points could enhance both his spirit rings and his physical body. One point of strength equaled ten catties, meaning ten points was the equivalent of a full-grown ox's strength. Right now, his 159 points of strength gave him the power of nearly 16 oxen.
For agility, every ten points increased speed by one meter per second. With 140 agility points, he had an additional 14 meters per second boost.
Currently, at Level 49, with his additional agility, his movement speed had reached 30 meters per second.
"In the world of martial arts, speed is king."
This saying echoed in Ye Feng's mind.
"System, add all 193 allocable attribute points to agility."
