Douluo Dalu 3 | Divine Destruction

Chapter 32: Cutest Catastrophe in the World

"Class Promotion Tournament? We're allowed to participate in that?" Gu Yuena said in surprise, her delicate yet shockingly powerful fingers covering her mouth. The two of them were quite a bit stronger than everyone else in the school so it was a surprise.

"Probably as a humbling experience against the victors." Tang Wulin replied simply while peeling his shirt off his slick, sweat covered torso. At his current |Level| even he had some trouble with ten tons pressing his body down while exercising. Well, some may be an exaggeration.

"Why are you stripping?" Gu Yuena questioned him with her fingers over her eyes like a chaste young girl yet her fingers were widely spread as she examined his body for personal and professional reasons without as much as a blush.

Unlike his unassuming yet large figure his body was practically made of muscle. Not only that but his muscles were extraordinary power and surely hard to the touch, she would know better than most.

She hadn't touched them directly before but she had tried her best to break through his defenses so she knew their power. It was difficult to manage to hit him in the first place with his tyrannical momentum yet even if somebody did it is unlikely he'd be harmed.

His sweaty skin seemed to shine in the light though that was because his skin was actually made up of extremely tiny scales just as hers were. She would admit that she found him quite attractive though they were a bit too 'young' for anything to come of that appreciation.

The fact that her other half had muscles was faintly surprising since it proved that he was at least marginally stronger than the original Golden Dragon King already even if you ignored his annihilation.

The original Golden Dragon King relied purely on his blood essence and naturally strong body, he never trained it. On the other hand, Tang Wulin did little other than train, he was almost fanatical in the way he trained

'He'll soon surpass the first. I'll have to try harder.' Gu Yuena thought to herself without any particular care. She had already planned to do so, it was just now she had a rival though they were fairly unique in that regard.

She's heard rivals generally dislike each other, their anger fueling their determination to surpass one another but that didn't apply to them as they were actually quite close. Perhaps there were more like them, but at the moment she was not aware of any.

Pulling down the waistband of his pants Tang Wulin remembered the words of his mother who scolded him for doing precisely this. He had taken off his sweaty pants in the park where he trained lightly and his mother did not appreciate that.

Pulling a large towel out of his storage tool he threw it over Gu Yuena's head while she didn't resist, much too amused by the situation to even think about doing such a thing. There was no harm in it anyway.

"I can still see with my spiritual power you know?" Gu Yuena questioned him, amusement in her voice. The towel did nothing to stop her, her powerful spiritual power allowed her to see his nearly naked body with the same clarity of her eyes.

"I promised my mother." Tang Wulin replied simply. He promised all those years ago that he wouldn't strip naked in front of somebody's eyes without their permission. Obviously, he's changing but it's not in front of her eyes anymore so he's fine.

"Speaking of your mother, where are your parents?" Gu Yuena questioned him lightly. When she would check up on her other half in the past they were always there until a year ago when they suddenly vanished.

She probably could have found them but they weren't her target, she only had eyes for Wulin. Besides, she didn't want such nice people to go under the radar of people like her subordinates if she could help it.

She actually quite liked the couple since she had talked to them once when her other half was in school and they were extremely kind people even if his mother was quite… cuddly. His father was nice as well, offering to help her 'find her family' without hesitation nor desiring a reward.

"They're on a vacation in the southern islands." Tang Wulin explained briefly, still changing his clothing. He had funded a trip there for them for as long as they wanted to stay. At the time he thought it was purely because of logic but it may have been because of affection as well.

"Oh? I didn't know your family was that wealthy." Gu Yuena said in mock surprise. She knew they weren't wealthy, it was Wulin that was wealthy. She wasn't aware of how far he's grown recently since he'd been sneaking around for the last year or two but he was at least rank 5.

"Mhm." Tang Wulin replied with a small hum. They could be called wealthy since they all had a few hundred million credits in their accounts, courtesy of his own work of course. He wouldn't draw from FUG funds for something so personal.

"I'm going to change back here so don't peek." Gu Yuena suddenly spoke up, her voice playful and teasing. For some reason her words made something stir within his very being and he felt like he had to peek on her.

{Remember Wulin, peeking isn't good!} A memory with his mother rang through his mind allowing him to fight back against the desire. {If you want to peek at somebody, ask them first!} The memory of his mother proclaimed seriously.

'She said not to so there is no point asking.' He thought to himself while his memory mother vanished from his mind, disappointment strangling his heart though he couldn't recognize the emotion nor exactly why he felt it so strongly.

Recalling his spiritual power for the first time in quite a while he gave her as much privacy as possible while he stripped himself fully, dried himself with a mix of a towel and his energies, and then wore clothing once more.

'I didn't expect that.' Gu Yuena thought to herself, surprised by his sudden bout of tact. Usually, he wouldn't have even covered her eyes or called back his spiritual power since he wouldn't think of them as bad things.

Somebody, most likely his parents or those two Slayers, imparted some common sense into him, a feat believed to be impossible by those in the know. The Golden Dragon King had learned a bit of common sense.

'How adorable.' She noted to herself, softly giggling at his 'chivalrous' nature.
