Chapter 125: Reunion
"Damn. I almost feel bad for you." Inside the bag belonging to the Ashen Wolf Douluo were plenty of heaven and earth treasures. Immortal herbs, expensive metals, and so on and so forth but the most precious was the paper hidden at the bottom.
It was an order from the higher ups of the Federation, one that could not be ignored. It was a simple mission for the Ashen Wolf Douluo, simply ignore the evil soul masters as they steal one of the three God Killing Missiles.
In the end though, the Ashen Wolf Douluo was unwilling to accept. He killed his superior, stole all that he could, and ran from the War God Temple. He was branded a traitor and the Federation put all their efforts into finding him which, amusingly enough, was exactly why Wulin had found him.
"It doesn't feel good working to the benefit of the Federation so I'll hold onto this." Placing the bag and paper into his storage space Wulin opened the window of the train. His destination was arriving so there was no point staying any longer.
Sparing one last glance behind him at the panicked people running away in a hurry Wulin was momentarily conflicted before he made his choice. Reversing time to before the masked man attempted to attack the passengers everyone returned to their seats as though nothing had even happened.
"That should be enough payment for this information." Leaping out of the train and returning the flow of time to normal Wulin believed his debt with the Ashen Wolf Douluo to be more than made up for.
Though he planned on giving this information to Shrek ultimately the Ashen Wolf Douluo wasn't a man worth pitying. He planned on selling the information to the highest bidder and he fully intended on killing every passenger on this train. Just clearing his name from that last crime was more than enough payment for his 'kindness' if it could even be considered that.
Jumping out of the train Wulin spread his spiritual sense out, the Sky of Lingering Divinity vaguely in his view. The divinity held by the sky made it hard to see anything clearly before he awakened his divinity but he wasn't sure why he still couldn't see it well.
"Ah, so that's it." Smiling proudly as the once bicolored sky was turned a beautiful shade of silver, Wulin didn't have to wait long for space to shimmer and shatter. Stepping through the broken space, his partner looked at him coldly with those beautiful eyes of hers.
Behind that cold glare was a burning anger brighter than anything he had ever seen from the love of his life. For a moment, he truly feared for his life as she folded space in between them with such ease that it wasn't even spatial manipulation anymore. It wasn't merely manipulation, it was absolute control.
Crashing into his arms she melted much like her anger, the mighty Silver Dragon King who somehow regained divinity in the same way he had falling victim to the weight of emotions just as he had.
"Did you miss me?" Smiling playfully as he gently ran his hand through her hair Wulin couldn't help but feel emotional. He wasn't ashamed to admit that he had grown emotional in recent years as it was the proof of the bonds he had made but… sometimes he wished his eyes were a little dryer.
"A little." Giggling softly Gu Yuena felt relief like nothing else seep into her very being as she heard the very familiar beating of his heart. He was alive, their bloodline connection restored, and he had even grown far stronger than she imagined. Then again, so had she.
The two sat in silence for a few moments before separating, the two looking each other over carefully. Both had obtained divinity but the methods through which they had done so was far different.
Wulin had put so much strain on his body that it was forced to evolve to survive while Gu Yuena plundered the divinity from a divine core to evolve her bloodline beyond its current limits. In the end, their results were nearly identical but as always their paths had branched from the very beginning.
It was because Gu Yuena was a god with the body of humanity that she was capable of filtering out the divinity of another source into something usable and it was because he was a human with the body of a god that he could force his body to evolve to such an extent.
"Gold suits you." Grinning playfully Gu Yuena reached up and played around with his golden hair, the change something she liked quite a bit. Now she truly felt like they were a matching pair, half of the same whole.
"That's good. I was a little worried it would seem too flashy." Smiling playfully Wulin could help but stare at his partner. Nothing had changed about her appearance, her hair the same beautiful shade of silver while her eyes were that same regal purple, and yet she had grown even prettier since he last saw her.
"You need to be at least this flashy to stand beside me, don't you think?" Giggling softly Gu Yuena held her hand out for him, a soft smile on her beautiful features. Happily obliging her, his rough hand fit into her delicate digits perfectly. Now that they were connected like this it truly felt like they were reunited.
"Then I'm glad it happened." Smiling warmly at her, Wulin felt a weight pressing down on him that he hadn't even known existed leave him as she returned his gesture. A crimson glow covered his free hand, a simple downward slice tearing a hole through space leaving a crimson rupture. "Will you walk with me?"
Purple took over the crudely made portal as creation soothed the rampaging annihilation and stabilized the rupture of space. Smiling warmly at him Gu Yuena gave his hand a gentle squeeze, her purple eyes filled with the same affection as his own crimson orbs.
"Of course." Pulling him into the portal the Silver and Golden Dragon Emperors were all smiles as they hurtled through space.

Hey there, hope you liked the chapter.
Honestly, this turned out way sweeter than I had originally intended and I'm all for it. I know this story has a ton of flaws but I think that the relationship between Gu Yuena and Wulin is not one of them. It's probably the best part of this entire thing in my opinion.
