Chapter 87: Chapter 87: "One Word to Summarize: Handsome!"
After three months of grueling training, Yu Xiaogang finally decided to grant everyone a seven-day break to recover. Watching them stumble around as if on the verge of collapse every day, he knew they needed time to regain their strength and spirits.
But for Yun Feng, Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuqing, and Ning Rongrong, the transformation over the past three months was remarkable.
Ning Rongrong had shed much of her initial arrogance. While traces of her noble demeanor remained, her sharp features now carried a heroic charm, her newfound restraint adding an air of mystery to her.
Zhu Zhuqing's perseverance was undeniable. Never once complaining during the intense training, she even asked for more challenges at times, impressing both Yun Feng and Yu Xiaogang with her unyielding determination.
As for Xiao Wu, the most noticeable change was her figure. She had developed a more refined and graceful form, shedding her childish appearance.
Then there was Yun Feng. His transformation was on another level altogether.
Standing nearly 1.9 meters tall, he exuded a striking aura. His jet-black hair flowed like smooth silk, catching the breeze as if painting a picture of the deepest night sky.
His clear, deep eyes sparkled like pristine autumn waters, carrying an ethereal, unworldly quality. His sharp gaze seemed capable of piercing through the soul, yet it was warm and inviting, like sunlight breaking through a winter's frost.
His presence was regal and commanding, as if he belonged in a celestial painting. Every movement radiated effortless power and grace, making him a sight to behold.
In short: handsome—beyond words.
Even without participating in Yu Xiaogang's training, Yun Feng's natural charisma and strength had grown tremendously. Compared to the gaunt, pale appearances of Tang San and the others, Yun Feng stood out as a serene and radiant figure, as if untouched by the mortal world.
While others used their break to rest or recover, Yun Feng continued to train Zhu Zhuqing, unwilling to let her progress stagnate. Tang San remained devoted to his cultivation and assembling his hidden weapons. Xiao Wu and Ning Rongrong chose to relax, while Ma Hongjun couldn't sit still and ran off to Soto City, eager to address his "evil fire" problem.
Tang San, for the first time in months, finally had the chance to work on his hidden weapons. The parts sent from the blacksmiths were impressive, and he busied himself assembling the Silent Sleeve Dart, Sandstorm Shadow, and Tight-Back Shortbow. Only the Zhuge Crossbow, requiring finer craftsmanship, remained unfinished.
Meanwhile, Yun Feng, walking Zhu Zhuqing back to the academy after training, spotted a disheveled figure in the distance. The person's bloated, swollen face and wobbling gait made him pause.
"Wow," Yun Feng remarked, smirking. "What a unique look—almost indistinguishable from a pig."
Zhu Zhuqing couldn't hold back her laughter, her silvery voice ringing out. The "pig-headed" figure, of course, was none other than Ma Hongjun.
Ma Hongjun's clothes were torn in several places, and his round face was so swollen it looked twice its size. His blackened eyes and split lip painted a pitiful picture.
Feigning ignorance, Yun Feng approached and asked casually,
"Fatty, what happened to you?"
Ma Hongjun's eyes lit up with a mixture of embarrassment and anger.
"Ugh, don't even ask—it's humiliating."
"Let me guess," Yun Feng teased, "a fight over a girl?"
Ma Hongjun's flushed face said it all, and Zhu Zhuqing's smile vanished, disgusted by the thought.
Still, Yun Feng nudged further.
"Come on, let's head to the cafeteria and you can tell us the whole story."
Hoping Yun Feng might help him take revenge, Ma Hongjun agreed and followed him.
Inside the cafeteria, they found Dai Mubai, Tang San, and Oscar enjoying their meal.
"Fatty!" Dai Mubai exclaimed, startled by Ma Hongjun's battered appearance. "What happened to you?!"
Seeing Ma Hongjun's swollen face, even Oscar burst into laughter.
"Boss Dai, you have to stand up for me!" Ma Hongjun wailed. "Look what they did to my handsome face! How am I supposed to charm the ladies now?"
Oscar nearly choked on his food.
"Handsome face? You look like a pig! Tell us what happened already."
Ma Hongjun slumped into a chair and began his tale.
"I went to Soto City this morning, planning to handle my evil fire issue. I even found a real gem—a 'golden phoenix' in a haystack!
"But just as I was about to approach her, some perverted old man appeared out of nowhere! He looked like he was in his forties, with short hair and bandages on one hand. At first, he seemed harmless, but his eyes were full of filthy thoughts."
Oscar snickered.
"And then?"
"I called him out! I said, 'Hey, old man, your hand's injured—shouldn't you be resting?' But you know what he said? He said, 'Who needs a hand for this kind of fun?' Can you believe that?! What kind of pervert says something like that?!"
The entire table erupted in laughter. Even Zhu Zhuqing, trying to remain stoic, couldn't suppress a small smile.
Yun Feng leaned back, grinning.
"Well, Fatty, looks like you met your match."
Ma Hongjun grumbled, his face turning redder.
"That's not the worst of it. When I told him to leave, he sucker-punched me and beat me up right there! The guy's a lunatic!"
"Maybe he wasn't wrong, though," Yun Feng teased. "After all, fighting over a girl in a place like that isn't exactly noble."
Ma Hongjun groaned, burying his face in his hands.
"Enough already! I just want revenge!"
Dai Mubai's eyes gleamed with mischief.
"Don't worry, Fatty. We'll help you… but only after you admit you're not as 'handsome' as you think."
The table erupted in laughter again, and even Ma Hongjun couldn't help but crack a sheepish grin.
