Douluo: Becoming a God by Relying on my Enemies

Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Return and the Start of the Plan!

As Yun Feng greeted the villagers on his way into Holy Soul Village, his cheerful voice attracted everyone's attention, including Old Jack.

Seeing Old Jack again, Yun Feng's gaze carried a hint of complexity.

In the original timeline, Old Jack had supported Tang San out of pure kindness, only to be completely forgotten by the boy after he achieved great success. Yun Feng couldn't help but wonder how Old Jack must have felt.

Now that Tang San was his enemy, Yun Feng couldn't deny feeling a sense of loss, as though something that rightfully belonged to him had been taken away.

Taking a deep breath, Yun Feng shook off the thought. No matter what, he had to acknowledge the help Old Jack had provided him.

The villagers of Holy Soul Village had fed and raised him. This debt alone was worth repaying.

"Xiaofeng, why have you come back so early? Isn't it too soon for you to graduate? Is everything alright? And where is Xiao San? Didn't he return with you?"

Old Jack hobbled out of his house, leaning on his cane. His hunched figure and bright smile were filled with warmth, his eyes shining with delight.

Six years wasn't a long time for many, but for an old man, it was a precious stretch of life. As one of only two soul masters to emerge from Holy Soul Village in recent years, Yun Feng had always been on Old Jack's mind.

Yun Feng had returned this time knowing it might be a long while before he could come back again. By then, the people he cared about might no longer be there.

Smiling, Yun Feng answered Old Jack's questions.

"Tang San couldn't come back this time because he was busy. He asked me to send his regards."

"As for me, Grandpa Jack, I've already graduated!"

Old Jack's eyes dimmed briefly when he heard Tang San wouldn't be returning. But his mood quickly shifted to joy upon learning of Yun Feng's graduation.

"Thank goodness! Thank goodness I encouraged you to leave back then. Otherwise, your talent would have been wasted!"

"Come, tell Grandpa, what's your soul power level now?"

Yun Feng didn't hold back, truthfully telling Old Jack his current level.

As expected, Old Jack's reaction was exactly what Yun Feng had anticipated—utter shock. He nearly threw a banquet in celebration.

Though there wasn't a full-blown feast, Old Jack gathered the entire village to announce Yun Feng's accomplishments.

Although Yun Feng was eager to proceed with his plan to obtain the soul bones, he couldn't bring himself to leave immediately. These villagers had raised him, so he stayed for a day, joining in the celebrations and enjoying their company.

After a night of laughter, food, and a good rest, Yun Feng said his goodbyes the next morning. This time, the villagers weren't as distant as when he first returned. They now understood Yun Feng hadn't changed; he hadn't forgotten his roots despite becoming a soul master.

As he stood at the village entrance, Yun Feng waved to the crowd seeing him off before striding away into the light.

---

Time flew by, and about a week had passed.

Yun Feng now fully understood the phrase "the mountains deceive the eye". The journey had been far more arduous than he'd expected.

If not for his third soul skill, which doubled his speed on top of existing boosts, the trip would have taken half a month.

Using the hints left in the original timeline, Yun Feng had pinpointed Ah Yin, the Blue Silver Emperor's, location. After leaving Holy Soul Village, he had been heading toward this destination nonstop.

He wasn't worried about Tang Hao guarding the place. It was unlikely for several reasons.

First, Tang San and Xiao Wu should already be on their way to Shrek Academy in the Balak Kingdom's Soto City. For a father, this was his child's first journey away from home—a big deal.

Even with his aloof personality, Tang Hao couldn't ignore it. Tang San was his hope for the future, a twin martial soul genius with innate full soul power. Moreover, with Xiao Wu's identity, Tang Hao likely worried about someone discovering her secret.

Thus, Tang Hao was likely following them in secret.

With Tang Hao absent, Yun Feng's journey was much safer, though the distance still took a toll.

Despite his extensive training in Furious Thunder Fist, Ghost Blood Tribulation Art, and Rakshasa Three Profound Transformations, his body—now equivalent to a Soul Elder's—was feeling the strain. Traveling at full speed had pushed him to his limits.

Thankfully, the destination was finally within sight.

After taking a day to rest and recover, Yun Feng stood at the foot of a massive cliff the next morning, bathed in sunlight that gave him a radiant glow.

The cliff matched the description from the original story: a sheer ninety-degree rock face with some rough protrusions, making it climbable. However, climbing was no longer necessary for Yun Feng.

Summoning his martial soul, a surge of blue gale enveloped him. Large wings extended from his back, and with a few powerful flaps, Yun Feng lifted into the air.

The ascent wasn't easy. The sunlight grew hotter, and the sharp wind at the cliff's edge stung his face. But Yun Feng persevered, encouraged by the sound of cascading water ahead.

"Boom—"

The roar of a waterfall reached his ears, and the humid mist began to envelop him.

Flapping his wings more vigorously, Yun Feng approached his destination.

At the top of the cliff, the sight before him confirmed he hadn't made a mistake. A massive waterfall poured into a crystal-clear pool below, surrounded by lush greenery. The air was fresh, and the vibrant blue silver grass growing in the area hinted at the location's uniqueness.

This secluded paradise was ideal for hiding and cultivating. If not for its inaccessibility, it would have been perfect for a home.

Among the blue silver grass, some had even reached the level of ten-year soul beasts—a testament to the area's exceptional environment.

For the usually unremarkable blue silver grass, such evolution was rare and required extraordinary circumstances. Even then, achieving a ten-year soul beast level for blue silver grass was akin to a human reaching genius-level talent.

Surveying the scene, Yun Feng's lip

s curled into a smile. This was the place where Ah Yin, the Blue Silver Emperor, lay hidden.
