Doulo Dalu 2: The Quincy King

Chapter 1: Prologue

The gentle halos of light bathed the ethereal palace in the God Realm, casting shifting golden hues across the vast expanse of clouds.

Tang San stood motionless, his deep-blue robes rippling like waves as his eyes stared into the endless distance. The peace of the realm was absolute, yet—his brows furrowed.

Something was… off.

He wasn't sure what it was at first. An imperceptible sensation gnawed at the back of his mind, whispering of something vast, something lurking beyond the boundaries of perception.

The more he tried to grasp it, the more it slipped away, hidden in the veils of fate.

"Third Brother?"

A familiar voice pulled him back. Xiao Wu, dressed in her usual pink, approached and took his arm, pressing close to him with an affectionate yet knowing look.

"What is it?" she asked, sensing his unease.

Tang San's gaze remained fixed ahead.

"A presence. Something that shouldn't exist… or rather, something that has existed but has yet to awaken."

Xiao Wu blinked. "Something within the mortal world?"

"Yes. But unlike anything I've sensed before." Tang San's voice carried an uncharacteristic weight.

"Even when I try to peer into its destiny, I see nothing but a void. A blank space where fate should be."

As if in response to his words, a sudden tremor rippled through the divine plane. The light that illuminated the God Realm flickered for the briefest moment—imperceptible to most, but not to those attuned to the workings of the world.

Far away, within the boundless Dragon Clan's territory, a pair of silver eyes snapped open.

Gu Yuena, the Silver Dragon King, sat upon a throne of flowing mercury, her ethereal form exuding an aura of absolute supremacy. For the first time in countless years, she felt an instinct she thought she had lost—unease.

Her fingers curled over the armrest, her gaze piercing into the void beyond the world.

A ripple passed through the balance of life itself, subtle yet undeniable, like a predator's breath against the nape of her neck.

This wasn't the power of the gods.

This wasn't the remnants of the Dragon God's will.

It was something… ominous and foreign.

Deep in the abyss of the mortal realm, an unseen force pulsed, buried beneath layers of slumber. It was ancient, yet newborn. Dormant, awaiting for the right time to awaken.

Something that did not belong to this world.

Something that would soon awaken itself.

Tang San clenched his fist, his expression unreadable. "No matter what it is, when the time comes… we must be ready."

And far, far below, within the mortal world, a young boy named Huo Yuhao continued to dream—unaware of the darkness stirring within him.
