Chapter 24: Chapter 24
Chapter 24
3rd POV
Seeing their classmate running away in tears, Shizuka became angry.
"Why did you do that, Nobita?" she demanded, unable to understand what was happening to him. Nobita had seemed fine in the morning.
"Don't be afraid, my dear wife. I sent that bad boy running back to his mother!"
After speaking, the copy Nobita raised his head proudly.
He stepped closer to Shizuka and gently took her hand.
"Nobita! You... why are you calling me your wife?"
Shizuka was extremely embarrassed, her cheeks flushing at his repeated claim.
"Of course, because we're going to be married in the future,"
the copy Nobita declared with a silly grin plastered across his face.
"Ahhh! Nobita! What's happening to you?" Shizuka shouted, her voice a mix of anger and embarrassment.
By now, the attention of everyone still present had turned toward them. The weird scene had caught their interest, and they couldn't look away.
Shizuka, however, was equally confused and angry. Why would Nobita try to embarrass her in front of everyone?
While this absurd thing continued, Miyoko, standing nearby, overheard Nobita's words. For some reason, she also grew angry. A bitter feeling rose inside her.
"Nobita! That's enough! I'm taking Shizuka home. Don't follow us!" she snapped.
With that, Miyoko stepped forward, grabbed Shizuka's hand, and began leading her away.
Both girls were visibly furious as they walked away.
Nobita nodded in satisfaction, watching the backs of the two girls holding hands as they left.
"Hmmm... this is good! They'll learn to get along like sister-wives," he muttered to himself with a smug grin.
After that, the copy Nobita picked up his schoolbag and casually began heading home.
…
Meanwhile, at Nobita's home.
When Doraemon and Nobita got home, Doraemon couldn't contain his excitement as he played with the ears in his hands.
He occasionally acted as if he might put them on his head to feel whole again but kept playing with them in childlike glee.
"Doraemon, why don't you just put them on already?"
Nobita laughed, amused by Doraemon's hesitation. He found the sight very entertaining.
"Put them on?"
Doraemon paused, then carefully placed the ears on his head. Taking out a mirror, he examined himself with curiosity.
"The color is different, but it can be repainted to match your blue," Nobita commented.
"Do you think it'll look good on me? Will Mii-chan like it?" Doraemon suddenly asked, his cheeks turning pink.
"Uh... about that, I'm not really sure what cats like," Nobita replied awkwardly. How would he know what a cat looks for in a partner?
"However, when I imagine you with your ears, it feels a bit unusual, but nothing weird! I'm just already used to looking at your round head," Nobita comforted him.
For a long time, Doraemon's image to Nobita had been his round head, but he could easily get used to his complete look with time.
Doraemon put the ears on his head and examined himself in the mirror.
'It's weird… being whole again after so long,' Doraemon thought, feeling a bit confused but still excited.
After a moment, Doraemon silently took the ears off his head.
"Nobita is not used to it, so I won't wear them~"
As he said that, he found a beautiful box and carefully placed his ears inside.
"Don't! I'm just not used to it. You should wear them if you like them~ I'm sure Mii-chan will like your original look," Nobita said quickly, seeing that Doraemon was about to put his ears away.
Doraemon shook his head.
"There is no need to wear them. More important than these ears, this is the most precious gift you ever gave me. I'll take good care of them and will wear them if necessary... but I've also gotten used to myself without ears."
Looking at Doraemon's gentle expression at that moment, Nobita couldn't decide what else to say.
While both of them sat in peaceful silence, the copy Nobita returned from school.
"I am back!" it declared.
Seeing that his copy was back, Nobita asked quickly,
"How was it? Was everything alright? You didn't get me into too much trouble, did you?"
In fact, Nobita was already considering skipping school entirely by always sending his copy if it performed well enough from now on.
"Reporting today's activity! I have completed the mission perfectly, sir! I finished the course, protected your women, and drove away bad guys!"
The robot says with a proud face.
Nobita suddenly had an ominous premonition.
What does it mean by protected his women? Beat the bad guys?
What the fuck did it to in school?
Doraemon and Nobita looked at each other, and Nobita stepped forward and clicked his copy on its nose.
The doll gradually returned to its original form.
Doraemon quickly examines the back of the robot and say, "Nobita, the screw seems to be loose..."
This doll is also one of the gadgets that Doraemon did not exchange.
It was a factory-defective product at the time of purchase. There will be changes in character, so the manufacturer added a screw behind the head which had to be regularly tightened to perform properly.
"Forget it! We'll know what's going on tomorrow."
Nobita says casually, not much concerned that something dangerous happened with it.
It was just a copy, it won't do something earth-scattering, right?
…
Dinner time...
The family of four, including Doraemon, was busy devouring a mountain of food fit for four normal people.
"Oh! This is delicious!"
Everyone sang praises for the chef robot's ability to cook such delicious food.
"Of course, the Chef Robot is one of the best cooking robot in the future world!"
Doraemon's mouth is not idle, and he explains while eating.
On the side, there was a maid-dressed woman with white skin and short legs. She looked like a child, but with many features showing that it was only a robot. It also had emotions like Doraemon and other nanny robots do.
Hearing everyone's praise for her craftsmanship, she also showed a sweet smile.
"Thank you all for your compliments, but I'm only doing my duty as I should."
Nobita's mother thought of other aspects.
"Cook-chan, can you really make so much delicious food using only water?"
"Yes~ I have almost all the recipes in the world~ As long as I am provided water, I can cook any dish in my data-base." She confirms her doubt.
"Wow!"
Upon hearing this, Tamako cried in relief.
"So, we don't have to buy groceries in the future anymore? It can save a lot of money for us! Our days are getting better and better. Hehe~"
Nobita's father also cheered.
"Yes, Doraemon, it's a very nice gadget!"
Compared to the cost of buying vegetables and meat, what is a little water bill?
The new member of the family was also quickly accepted.
The praise of Nobita's parents made Doraemon embarrassed, he rapidly waves his little hands.
"No, no, no, it's all thanks to Nobita!" Doraemon shook his head and smiled.
However, upon hearing the word Nobita, Nobita's mother, who was also smiling, suddenly turned black.
"Nobita! I forgot! Before dinner, your teacher called me and said you disappeared for almost a whole class today! And beat up your classmate!"
Nobita exclaimed, "It's all a huge misunderstanding, Mom!"
He then began cursing the robot in an ancient language of the gods, one too powerful for mortals to comprehend or hear.
His mother wasn't accepting Nobita's excuses and gave him a proper lecture about getting along with his classmates for two hours, completely forgetting her happiness about saving money.
...
Class the next day.
When he reached his school, Nobita found that the surrounding students were looking at him with very strange eyes.
There was fear in the eyes of many people.
Many were whispering to each other, all of which Nobita could hear with his enhanced senses.
"Nobita was so weak before! How did he change so much so suddenly?" one student said to his friend.
"But why was he calling Shizuka his wife? Are they going out already? I'm so jealous!" another said with envy in his voice.
"Ewww… Do they kiss? That's so gross!" one student complained, not understanding that they, too, would want a beautiful girl to be their girlfriend in the future.
The words of his classmates made him helplessly sigh at the moment, but he didn't concern himself with their talks.
He turned his head and saw that Shizuka was looking at him with angry eyes. But when she realized that Nobita had noticed her, she turned away with a snort and looked in the other direction.
She didn't look at his direction any longer.
Seeing that Shizuka was angry with him and wasn't speaking to him, Nobita looked for Miyoko to ask what had happened the day before.
"Miyoko, what happened to Shizuka? Why is she angry with me?"
Nobita didn't expect that Miyoko would also be angry with him.
"You're a bad boy, Nobita! We're not talking to you anymore!" she said angrily before walking away.
Nobita, "???"
Nobita just felt dumbfounded, 'Just what exactly did that robot do?'
...
Seeing that he will not get any answer for now, he walks around the school and decided to check the chat group.
{999+ messages.}
"Woah!!" He exclaims not too loudly, but looking carefully, he saw that the members were talking about the new features of the chat group.
The System Task feature was already enabled when the group chat was upgraded to Level 2, but Nobita was busy earning 100,000 points from Sun Wukong at that time, so he didn't rush to study it.
He quickly opened the interface of System Task.
{The Chat Group will assign various tasks at different intervals. These tasks can vary, and once a member accepts a task, they cannot quit it. Failure to complete the task will result in a penalty.}
Nobita quickly understood the logic and usage.
It is not much different from the tasks issued by the chat group members; it's just that the group may assign different tasks related to different worlds—worlds from which people have still not joined the chat group.
Perhaps the chat group scans different universes and issues tasks when they are in danger or something.
Nobita isn't sure about that, but he's confident in his survival through it all, thanks to his powers and the new, powerful gadgets that he and Doraemon brought from the future.
There are different levels of tasks, related to the permission fragments of the chat group, divided into sections A, B, C, D, and E level permissions.
They can only accept tasks that do not exceed their current level of authority by more than 1 level.
For example, if a chat group member has E-level permissions, they can only accept D-level and E-level tasks.
D-level permissions are connected to C-level and D-level tasks, and so on.
The point reward for E-level tasks is between 100 and 500 points.
D-level tasks range from 500 to 3,000 points.
C-level tasks range from 3,000 to 50,000 points.
B-level tasks range from 50,000 to 300,000 points.
A-level tasks range from 300,000 to 5 million points.
There is a huge difference in rewards for different levels.
After completing Sun Wukong's pending order, he obtained three E-level permission fragments and a 100,000-point reward, and his permission fragment was upgraded to D-level.
This means he can now take tasks up to C-level.
C-level tasks are also quite good for Nobita for now, since they can provide up to 50,000 points if completed.
However, Nobita was not very interested in the system tasks because he did not want to become a corporate/system slave like in his past life.
He can already earn points by completing the tasks issued by the group members if he wants to.
But he's also glad that there is at least a way to earn extra points.
Nobita did not immediately participate.
Instead, he observed the chat content of the group members about system tasks.
Someone has even taken the order once, but failed.
I will be stronger when my head is bright: "How should I put it? The task wasn't hard at all; they were even weaker than the monsters of my world... It just feels weird. After I went to that world, there were endless monsters. No matter how many I killed, they again kept coming in hordes, and the one I was supposed to protect still died."
Saitama was the first one to accept a system task, but he failed to complete it. He's just sharing his experience of that world to them now.
The richest man is Iron Man: "Weird? How weird?"
I will be stronger when my head is bright: " It's like when I punch them, their bodies explode and they die in that moment, but then respawn like video game monsters. They don't truly die; instead, their numbers constantly increase, with new monsters joining and the old ones coming back to life."
Hear the explain, Nobita also narrowed his eyes.
Daguai explode things? Does the monster refresh when it dies?
He silently glanced at the tasks put on by the system.
[Help the old nab find his son and kill all the college staff. Mission requirements: Kill more than a thousand mutant creatures, kill all the staff of the academy, and protect the lives of the old man and his son. Mission level: E-level]
[Guard Athena. Protect Athena from dying in 30 waves of beasts. Mission level: D level]
[Defend the Noxian attack. Quest Requirements: Kill three or more Noxian heroes to keep Garen and Shining alive. Mission level: C-level]
There are not many tasks for now, but looking at the pending tasks, Nobita finds that they are from the games he used to play in his previous life.
"All of them are from... the game world?"
If so, the members of the chat group are all characters from various films, animations, novels or myths in the world.
And the system tasks are from games he knows of. And they are all games that Nobita is familiar with.
The old man, isn't that the protagonist of a game called Fallout 4 that Nobita has played several times?
Defending Athena... should be a classic defensive battle in the Frozen Throne of Warcraft III?
Not to mention Noxus Demacia, isn't this the story in League of Legends?
In this way, what Saitama said about the strange world makes sense. Compared to the real world, the logic of these games is not normal logic.
The strongest primary school student in history: "The worlds from which the tasks are given aren't that dangerous; they can easily provide us with extra points if we try."
Nobita also expressed his opinion.
Richest Man of Steel: "Easy for you to say… You should already know about them too, right?"
I will be stronger when my head is bright: "Oh man, you don't know, it was such a drag. I had to protect the Athena girl. I could easily deal with the monsters, but they kept coming and the girl died."
The strongest elementary school student in history: "Even if you failed the task, they are still present for us to take. So, we can try them multiple times."
The richest man in Iron Man: "Hmmm… Why is that? Wasn't that Athena dead already? If I'm not mistaken, this new feature may be similar to a game, allowing people to play multiple times even if they fail. You just need to find the pattern."
As soon as this statement came out, everyone reacted.
I will be stronger when my head is bright: "That's why it felt so strange to me… I was in a game world. Cool!"
When it comes to games, Saitama becomes very excited.
…
He is a "professional" amateur gamer.
--The world of One Punch Man--
Saitama looks at the tasks excitedly.
As a hero for fun, he doesn't have much to do in his world. Every day is just wake up, eat, fight monsters and sleep again. He became bored of this monotonous life.
The rest of the time, in addition to shopping for food and cooking, rushing to the supermarket to buy things in discount, playing games is also a hobby of his.
He's a God when he plays game. (His delulu)
