DND Realms: The Rise of the Titan-Dragon Prodigy

Chapter 414: Chapter 414: Titan Legacy Secret Art

"Mission accomplished, Your Highness Muria."

Yacheng, his face slightly pale, dragged the stinking carcass of the winged demon to the base of the Demon Hunting Monument, looking up at the golden dragon perched atop the crystalline monument.

"Hmm!" The somewhat ethereal form of the golden dragon looked down with a cool nod, a response that made Yacheng's face fall in disappointment, having hoped for some praise.

"What do you expect me to praise you for?" The increasingly ethereal dragon lowered its head, "You've been in the Demon Hunting Group for three years, undergone the cruelest battles, enjoyed the best cultivation resources, practiced the highest level of breathing techniques, learned the strongest combat skills, and used the finest weapons and equipment. Tell me, why should you lose to a demon of the same rank? And if you win, what is there to praise? Isn't that expected?"

"Your Highness!" Yacheng, slightly embarrassed, discarded the demon's remains and looked puzzledly at the translucent, unreal figure of the golden dragon, his face clouded with confusion.

"Your body, what's happening to it? Why has it become like this? Why is your aura fading so quickly?"

"Ever heard of the clone technique?" The dragon atop the Demon Hunting Monument disintegrated into countless points of golden light, converging into a golden river of light before Yacheng, solidifying into the figure of a young man with black hair and golden eyes.

"I've heard a bit about it. It's said to be a ninth-level spell that only the most elite mages can master. Ordinary mages can't even decipher the spell model."

Yacheng carefully examined the lifelike young man before him, guessing the state in which this Duke might exist, "Is this your clone formed by using the clone technique?"

"I am indeed a clone, but not formed through the clone technique. My legacy contains a secret art similar to cloning. I tried cultivating it, and it resulted in this clone. Sensing trouble here through the Demon Hunting Monument, I sent this clone to see how it would perform in real combat."

"Legacy secret art?" Yacheng's face showed envy. This was why those with eternal lifespans, such as Titans, were envied. They not only possessed long lives but were also born with meditation methods and secret arts suited to their cultivation, starting life at a point most beings couldn't reach.

Muria's words also cleared Yacheng's doubts about why the kingdom's supreme ruler would appear in an obscure small city and why the Duke's strength seemed so much weaker than when he had seen him before.

"This clone only has about a third of my real strength," the black-haired, golden-eyed youth said, somewhat dissatisfied as he clenched his fists. "Having a third of my true strength is still enough to handle most situations, but this clone's combat endurance is too short. In this state, it can't fight for more than an hour before its energy is nearly depleted, and it's about to collapse."

"A clone with less than a third of the strength!" Yacheng twitched at the corner of his mouth, recalling the scene of Muria's clone slaughtering demons with overwhelming power. How strong must Grand Duke Muria's true self be? Could he possibly battle legends? It was incredible.

"Alright, keep guarding this city diligently; I must go now." Muria's clone patted young Yacheng's shoulder and then turned to activate the teleportation array on the Demon Hunting Monument, disappearing in the shimmering teleportation light.

In the central royal palace of Skarlett in the capital, Muria sat upon his throne, watching as a young man who looked exactly like him walked in from the outside. His expression turned sour as he rubbed his brow,

"Multi-tasking needs more practice. Focusing on one task at a time is easy, but managing multiple is challenging."

Muria sighed and reached out his hand, and the young man before him, who looked almost identical to Muria, glowed brightly, becoming a luminous humanoid before collapsing inward and shattering. Finally, a magnificent staff adorned with a lifelike platinum dragon appeared.

The Final Staff hummed, trailing a brilliant five-colored spiritual light as it flew towards Muria, who grasped it in his hand.

"A single weapon forms a clone with a third of my real strength; nine weapons create nine clones. Add the Holy Light Abyss, and that makes ten."

Muria mused with a hint of contentment, "So many clones to manage, it's like needing to be ten-minded."

Each Titan's unique weapon is infused with all of their blood and part of their soul. Muria's weapons are no exception. He has the most weapons, but the pain he endures is proportionate.

The specialized nature of a Titan's weapons naturally leads to the creation of cloning secret arts based

on those weapons, a fitting adaptation for Titans who excel in crafting combat techniques.

This Titan secret art, similar to cloning, was something Muria found in the vast legacy of the Titans during a moment of boredom. After thoroughly examining it, he eagerly began to practice.

Besides the experience left by the first Titan who created this cloning technique, no other Titan left behind any practice experience for Muria to reference, as no other Titan chose to cultivate this secret art.

It was considered too wasteful: each Titan clone had to be formed around a unique weapon as a core, and even then, it only possessed a third of the original's strength.

Such cloning techniques were useless for ordinary Titans, who typically have only one unique weapon. To form a mediocre clone during battle using their only weapon was nonsensical.

But for Muria, it was different. His arsenal of unique weapons was unparalleled in the history of Titan weapon forging, likely unmatched by any predecessor or successor.

As for the clones having merely a third of a Titan's strength, for Muria, that was still substantial.

If measuring strength purely by the circle of soul intent, a clone with a third of Muria's strength would possess thirty-six circles of soul intent, still surpassing most soul intents in number, enough to handle most situations.

Thus, Muria took great interest in the Titan legacy's Soul Weapon Cloning Art, seizing every opportunity to train his clones, such as simultaneously commanding one in battle and another in administrative duties.
