Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4167: A Lucky Breakthrough

Davis walked out of the seclusion chamber and saw Nightveil, Mingzhi, and Stella.

They were the watchers of the mini-realm.

"You reached Level Five Immortal Emperor Stage?" Mingzhi was pleasantly surprised, and so were the others.

Davis lightly nodded, "I got a lucky breakthrough. I also solidified my cultivation base, so if I need to venture out, concealment will not be a problem."

Now that his prowess had firmly settled in the Level Four Empyrean Stage, Even ambushes would mostly fail to harm him while he was not on guard.

Mingzhi nodded and explained the situation. Davis understood the gist of it.

Because of those idiots outside, they couldn't even get information. They had contemplated offing them numerous times but didn't want to alert the entire realm. However, now that they were at the doorstep, they could no longer adopt a wait-and-see attitude.

Their only choices were to rely on luck that they would turn back or kill them.

"No worries. Let them come." Davis was nonchalant about it.

"You're going to let them into the mini-realm?"

"Yes. It doesn't matter if we meet them inside or outside. Our location would be found out either way. However, we can entrap them here if they come inside. They will not be able to escape."

"Makes sense."

Mingzhi nodded. She had been worried about her child in her tummy and the other children, afraid that something untoward might happen if they appeared inside the mini-realm, so she didn't think of bringing them in.

Nonetheless, she closely looked at him, aware that he couldn't kill Heaven's Warriors even if they were Empyreans and Autarchs due to the Covenant. That Level Three Autarch Mystic Diviner was free game though.

"Did we receive any package from the Ghostly Crow Realm Master?" Davis asked.

"No." Mingzhi raised her brow, "How is that idiot supposed to send to us when he doesn't know where we are?"

"I suppose so."

Davis's expression faded. He had been a bit excited when Mingzhi said no, thinking the Ghostly Crow Realm Master chose to fight instead. It looks like he truly wanted to get rid of him. Nonetheless, because there was a chance that they could still stay under the radar, he didn't give the Ghostly Crow Realm Master a time limit.

"Also, Iesha is going to give birth soon. Her child could already talk from inside the womb. You should've seen it. I was spooked at first but as expected of a spirit fey. She even said if it was a spirit baby, then it would've been able to speak soon after it was conceptualized. Crazy…"

Mingzhi was full of amazement before she shot a glance at Nightveil with a dubious look.

"…" Nightveil's expression cracked under that gaze. She glared at Mingzhi, wondering why she was always teasing her.

"Iesha…" Davis heaved a breath.

He felt a deep emotion swelling within him as he was going to welcome his first spirit child into this world.

'Wait… is Calypsea my first spirit child…? I did create her… but she didn't come from a mother…'

Davis nearly scratched his head, not knowing how to see her. However, he mostly treated her as a child who needed love and care, if not for the fact that he needed her battle prowess. He was guilty of child labor, so he didn't want to acknowledge her as his child.

But was it even child labor, considering Calypsea was innately a destructive spirit who wanted to destroy everything, and without him providing an outlet, she might explode with wrath? From another perspective, he was just allowing her to play.

This contradiction didn't let him decide if she was truly his child or not. However, with Lea acting like a mother, he did see himself as a father, but if he was her father, why was he putting her at the forefront?

It made him feel ashamed, so he didn't want to put himself in a position where he was truly considered her father. He was more than happy to be her protector, who would take care of her and allow her to grow in a protected environment.

Nonetheless, he felt it had been a long time since he saw Iesha. He didn't have many chances to meet her since she was cooped up in the Treasury and was distributing resources. It seemed like she loved doing that, and Davis wasn't surprised, considering she was a kind spirit who wanted to spread peace and treat humans better when spirit supremacy was a thing back in her home.

"Hurry. They're almost there." Stella reminded them.

Davis and the others nodded, and they were teleported to the entrance.

=========

A young man with flowing white hair stepped on a rock and tried to traverse the unstable spatial terrain with balanced footwork. He was clad in a black robe. It was unblemished by the surrounding atmosphere and he seemed quite skillful with how he moved.

"Mystic Diviner Oscar, you're getting good at moving in this place far better than us." Someone behind him commented.

It was a black-haired man clad in a black robe, but it was a different attire from the robe the Mystic Diviner wore.

Mystic Divine Oscar didn't respond. He held a strange compass in his hand. He occasionally looked at it before moving in strange directions. He would even go back sometimes and trace the path again to confirm his findings.

Regardless, it seems that his proficiency in traversing this unstable environment increased day after day, and he no longer made a mistake in his path or tripped and fell. After all, the space here was distorted and had a lot of spatial anomalies. One wouldn't know if they were going up or down. Sometimes, they could even be caught in small quakes and be compressed to death.

The two Elders from the Quake Fist Sect who were accompanying him knew this far better than anyone.

However, the danger became even more prevalent with the heaven and earth energy fading. It caused the anomalies to spread wider, and there was no natural energy to restrict them. So they were all careful.

"Are we finally approaching something instead of another quakepit?" The black-haired man asked.

He looked quite suave and possessed a toned body.

However, a green-haired man indicated for him to be silent.

Both of them were Elders of the Quake Fist Sect. They gave off undulations at the Level Nine Sovereign Stage, far below what the Mystic Diviner or the two people behind them gave off. After all, they were only here to guide and report on the Mystic Diviner's findings.

But in this one month, it seemed like the Mystic Divine became more proficient in traversing the Vast Quake Mountains than them.

"Don't worry. Mystic Diviner Oscar's fame is real."

A voice resounded from behind them.

They saw it was Heaven's Warrior Yubin.

"What do you think, Fairy Runalise?" The black-haired Elder asked as he looked at the other Heaven's Warrior.

It was a woman. She wore a white veil and was clad in a blue robe. Her white eyes were practically heavenly, making her shine like a true immortal fairy from the legends. She was also a Heaven's Warrior, which greatly attracted everyone's attention, as it was rare to see a female Heaven's Warrior.

Her cherry lips moved.

"What senior brother Yubin is saying is true. Mystic Diviner Oscar has a knack for finding Divergents in the Upper Realms. This allowed us to kill over forty Divergents with his help in the past sixty thousand years, ever since he became an Autarch. Although his cultivation is low, his mystic arts can match High-Level Autarch Grade Mystic Diviners and deserve enormous praise."

"Haha…" The green-haired Elder wryly chuckled, "It's not like we're here to find Divergents."

"True," Heaven's Warrior Yubin nodded, "But if the heaven and earth energy is thinning out like this for no reason, chances are that there is a Void Class Calamity creature lurking somewhere. Considering the symptoms, it could be a Voidslime Realm Eater or a Space Veer Wyrm."

"…"

The two Elders gawked.
