Dimensional Kaguya Ōtsutsuki

Chapter 38: No More Recklessness

"No one has ever escaped Itachi's Tsukuyomi," Kisame Hoshigaki grinned, revealing his sharp teeth. He then turned to Itachi and said, "But Itachi, using that technique too often is dangerous even for you."

Suddenly, Uchiha Itachi clutched his eyes, retreating a few steps, his face showing a pained expression.

"You... you didn't fall into my Tsukuyomi?"

Kaguya hadn't fallen into the genjutsu, causing Itachi to suffer a backlash. The intense pain in his eyes made cold sweat appear on his forehead.

"What?"

Kisame's face showed surprise, and even Kakashi, who was about to rush to save Kaguya, was stunned.

"Tsukuyomi isn't that impressive after all." Although Kaguya appeared nonchalant, she had been scared to death earlier. Just imagining being stabbed for three days in a genjutsu like Kakashi was terrifying.

"Let's go," Itachi said in a low voice, clutching his eyes, and quickly leapt away.

Understanding the severity of the situation, Kisame didn't hesitate, grabbed Samehada, and followed Itachi.

"Don't chase them, be wary of traps," Kakashi quickly shouted, stopping Asuma and Kurenai from pursuing.

Kaguya patted her chest and sighed in relief. That was close. Without her Tenseigan, she would have been in deep trouble, likely ending up in pieces. She decided not to act recklessly again; curiosity could be dangerous.

"What are you doing here?" Kakashi walked up to Kaguya and asked.

"I saw two strange people, so I followed them to see what they were up to," Kaguya said, fabricating a story with a serious expression.

"Don't do that again. Your body hasn't fully recovered, and..." Kakashi said sternly, "those two are not ordinary enemies. If something happens, report it to the Anbu first. Don't act rashly."

"Yes," Kaguya replied, deciding to avoid unnecessary risks in the future. It was foolish to confront enemies she couldn't defeat.

Kaguya noticed Kurenai staring at her. "You're quite skilled, able to repel the enemy. That's impressive," Kurenai said, smiling at Kaguya.

Kurenai was indeed a beauty, with a particularly good figure, tall and curvaceous. Her large red eyes added a touch of cuteness.

"Someone your age with such abilities is rare," Asuma added.

But Kaguya was focused on Kurenai and completely ignored Asuma. Even his thumbs-up went unnoticed, leaving Asuma awkwardly scratching his head.

Due to Itachi and Kisame's arrival, there were several changes in the village. For instance, Sasuke was now under the protection of Kakashi and other teachers, while Naruto went to train with Jiraiya.

But none of this concerned Kaguya anymore. She knew Itachi's main purpose was to see his brother Sasuke and stimulate him. As for rumors about the Fourth Hokage's legacy, that wasn't his primary goal.

Returning home, Kaguya took out her key, opened the door, took off her shoes, put on her plush slippers from the shoe cabinet, and walked while undressing. She threw her coat aside, then jumped onto her soft bed.

Indeed, there's no place like home.

Recent events have left her feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. Whether it's the Chunin Exams, the Konoha Crush plan, or the appearance of the Akatsuki, there's always something to worry about. Every time she thought about these things, she felt a wave of annoyance.

Kaguya, still weak from the aftereffects, was utterly exhausted. She just wanted to lie in bed and sleep until morning, without thinking about anything.

Just as she was drifting off, she suddenly heard a knock on the door. Kaguya felt a wave of irritation and buried her head under the blanket, not wanting to answer the door.

But the knocking didn't stop. It continued persistently. Finally, Kaguya got up from bed and walked to the door. If it turned out to be something unimportant, she decided she would beat the person up, regardless of who it was.

Kaguya flung the door open and before she could say anything, her cheeks were pinched.

"What are you doing, Yugao-nee?" Kaguya mumbled, struggling to free her cheeks from Yugao's grip.

"I don't know why, but seeing your annoyed face makes you look especially cute," Yugao smiled with squinted eyes.

"You must be a sadist," Kaguya retorted, rolling her eyes.

"What's a sadist?" Yugao asked curiously.

"Never mind," Kaguya said, pouring a glass of water from the dispenser and placing it in front of Yugao. "Why are you here?"

"Can't I come without a reason?" Yugao smiled mischievously. "But I do have something to tell you."

"What is it?" Kaguya asked, grabbing a bag of chips from the fridge and tearing it open.

"Hokage-sama wants to see you tomorrow morning," Yugao said, snatching the chip from Kaguya's hand and popping it into her mouth.

"Why?" Kaguya asked in surprise. "And why can't you just take your own from the bag?"

"Because the ones you grab taste better," Yugao smiled.

"I'm not sure what it's about, just be careful," Yugao continued.

"Got it," Kaguya nodded, grabbing another chip.

"And I had no idea you were this strong," Yugao said, looking at Kaguya as if seeing her for the first time. "Were you hiding it on purpose?"

"Of course not," Kaguya replied, rolling her eyes. "What good would that do me?"

"Then how did you get so strong?" Yugao asked. "I don't remember you being this powerful before."

"Who knows? Maybe I'm just naturally gifted," Kaguya said, dismissively.

"Seeing your smug face," Yugao pinched Kaguya's cheeks again, "it's really annoying."

It took a while to finally send Yugao away. Looking at the table covered with empty snack wrappers, Kaguya couldn't help but feel speechless. Was she just here to mooch snacks?
