Digimon: The Child of Miracles

I emerged from the shower in an obvious bad mood as the memory of the disaster of a few days ago came back to haunt my amazing self!

It had all started fabulously, I had caught the Chosen Children along with three of my favorite pets. Not to mention, that juicy steak I had put in Vamdemon's mouth paid off when that Tailmon showed up on my doorstep, I guess even that silly vampire can't ignore a Chosen Child and a Digivice in my possession... if I finalized the exchange I could finally spread my Dark-Web across the continent with no problem!

Or so it would have happened... IF EVERYTHING HADN'T GONE TO FUCK!

Snimon, like the good pet he was, was beating the crap out of the Children's Digimons!

Greymon was standing up to that other orange Greymon!

And Tyranomon... he was a Digimon, yup.

He had the Chosen Children cornered!...-

...sure, Tyranomon was a first-class good-for-nothing but at least he could last long enough until Snimon or Greymon came to his aid.

I was having so much fun...until that dirty fucking pile of bones showed up!

That dumb, retarded, stupid, stupid, smelly SkullGreymon destroyed my pets in the blink of an eye. Not to mention destroying that giant screen! I liked that thing, dammit!

And to top it off! Stupid Tailmon suddenly left without saying a single word!

EVERYTHING! EVERYTHING HAD GONE WRONG!

"That stupid cat is retarded?! Why didn't he take the deal?! Not to mention that he had the nerve to just walk away! Hmph, I heard that so much!" My thunderous scream echoed throughout the pyramid as I stomped hard on the floor at my feet creating a small crater in the shape of my foot, not even the floor made of that sturdy metal Nanomon liked so much could resist my strength completely. "I have the child! I have the Digivice! Then why?! Why?!"

I looked at the motionless Nanomon, who had entered my room at some point, demanding an explanation for the unbelievable disrespect towards my person from that arrogant Tailmon.

I didn't mind losing my pets, except for Snimon, it was a pain to raise that thing from scratch. I was annoyed that the fucking shitty cat unilaterally rejected my offer without telling me why!

However, Nanomon simply looked at me with a blank stare. "My calculations suggest that this Tailmon, even if he is a Vamdemon Commander, is irrelevant to our plans compared to the new force present on the Continent. SkullGreymon should be our priority since-"

"Hmph! Couldn't you at least say something funny?! God, I swear sometimes talking to you is like talking to a wall..." I gave Nanomon an annoyed look before giving myself a lazy toss towards my huge king-sized bed while making a disinterested gesture in Nanomon's direction. "Just withdraw all the troops near that pile of bones and keep an eye on him, I don't want to lose another one of my pets to that clown..."

"You're not going to confront him?" Nanomon asked with his usual emotionless tone.

I pulled my head out of the bed to look at Nanomon like he was an idiot, I opened my mouth to respond before a thought stopped me for a second.

'How did he not know about my confrontation with SkullGreymon? He also has access to the Dark-Web...' My gaze narrowed for half a second before I let out a derisive snort. 'Hmph! Maybe he is an idiot after all!'

"For your information, you stupid piece of tin, I already faced him and it was a draw!" I exclaimed with irritation as I pulled out my microphone and started dramatizing a fight on top of my bed. "His attacks can barely damage me thanks to my precious Saru, and I can't damage him because he undoes my attacks like it's nothing! It was a useless and boring fight so come here!"

I somersaulted in the air before falling back against the bed with a smile, I never get tired of doing this! This bed was simply too comfortable!

"Interesting..." Nanomon murmured with slight interest in his voice before falling silent for a few seconds, he seemed to be thinking about something very deeply if the silly lights in his head were any guide to anything. "So, you're weaker than him?"

"Don't talk nonsense, you stupid piece of tin! His attacks may hurt me a lot but in a fight of attrition I'll win! The whole desert is my game kicking, no matter how strong that walking corpse is it won't be able to do anything against all the Dark-Webs in the area!"

"...According to my calculations-" Nanomon suddenly went completely still as his gaze remained fixed on the ground. "What..."

Etemon raised an eyebrow. "What's wrong?"

BOOOOOM!!!

BOOOOOM!!!

"They've started!" Matt's annoyed and irritated voice reached my ears with more volume than I would have liked. I knew him why I was so nervous, but honestly his comments asking me to hurry up didn't exactly help my concentration. "Hurry up!"

"Just give me a second..." I muttered with a frown as my hands literally flew to type as fast as I could, it was a miracle I hadn't gotten any part of the code wrong honestly.

"Be patient Matt, the Etemon troops will take a while to react to the attack..." Joe's shaky voice reached my ears, I could almost picture the scene of the supervisor calming the blond. "A few minutes-"

With the last line of code written and the program completed it was time for the magic, the magic of programming!

"Ready!"

Pressing 'Enter' suddenly the code on my screen began to distort until it was completely unrecognizable, but that was part of the charm in my opinion. I looked up to see the earth itself begin to twist and blend into itself forming a deep, dark tunnel that connected directly to Etemon's pyramid.

"This tunnel will lead us to an empty room inside the pyramid" I explained uneasily taking a deep sigh to calm my nerves, I quickly stowed my laptop in my backpack before looking at my Digimon. "Tentomon can you generate some light?"

"Right away Izzy!" Tentomon exclaimed happily as he rubbed his yellowish antennae together generating a few small sparks of electricity, after a few tries finally Tentomon's antennae lit up slightly with small flashes of electricity.

I absentmindedly wondered how much power Tentomon could generate before I shook my head and entered the tunnel behind me Digimon with Joe and Matt following in my wake.

The light generated by Tentomon's beams wasn't as much as I would have liked, but we had enough brightness to see a few meters around us so I couldn't really complain. I quickly looked at the map on my Digivice, it would take us a few minutes to reach the pyramid at this speed.

Turning off my Digivice, I turned my gaze forward carefully following Tentomon as a thought fixed itself in my head.

'We're coming for you Noah!'

"Mouuu..... Why do I have to be here?!" Mimi exclaimed with a pout as she folded her arms "I was supposed to be the one to save the prince!"

"She really is very obsessed with that..." Sora muttered with a strange grimace on his face, it reminded me of those grimaces mom used to make when she wanted to scold me but didn't know what to say.

BlackGarurumon didn't even stop to look at Mimi, he just kept moving towards the pyramid with indifference. "Togemon isn't a very fast Digimon and he's a better fighter than an escapist."

I could clearly see Mimi's frown deepen as she gave the wolf an unfriendly look. "Ikkakumon isn't fast either and Joe is over there."

BlackGarurumon deftly ignored that answer as we moved closer and closer to the only entrance to the pyramid, said entrance was guarded by a considerable amount of Gazimon standing guard.

I couldn't help but feel sorry for what was about to happen to those poor Gazimon.

"Get ready!" BlackGarurumon's voice exclaimed causing us all to pull out our Digivice and our Digimons began to glow brightly.

[Piyomon Digievolved to... Birdramon!]

[Palmon Digievolved to... Togemon!]

Mimi, Sora and I got off BlackGarurumon as all the Digimons combined their forces in a devastating attack.

As I watched the sheer number of attacks fly directly towards the pyramid's door, I couldn't help but remember the time Etemon attacked us during our stay at the church. And even though I couldn't see it, I knew Noah fought like a hero to keep me safe.

And now it was my turn to return the favor!

[Patamon Digievolved to... Angemon!]

I had become strong, we trained tirelessly for this, Patamon and I strived to reach this moment! We reached new heights while keeping our hopes high!

"Heaven's-"

I had no need to fear and I was not afraid.

"-Knuckle!"

After all-

BOOOOOM!!!

-the roles had been reversed.
