Deus Nos Ducit Ad Astra Per Aspera

Chapter 6: Return from slumber

Several days later

Nicolas is seen sitting in his Office doing paperwork. It's been several days since Anastasia is in the hospital with no sign of waking up. This only deepened his worry as his daughter is not waking and that makes him fear for the worst.

The ones responsible for her assassination are already dead, Ordered by himself as the two criminals have no use to him and decided to rid of them witch not only made him feel some weight of his shoulders but also the publics, as the public advocated the death of the two "Heretics" as the Church called them.

As he is reading the papers before him wehn suddenly the doors to his office slammed open

"Who dares-".

"Your Majesty the Princess is awake!"

Nicolas got interrupted but he didn't mind once he heard the news of his daughters waking.

"Quickly we mist make haste, order my escort to be ready!" Nicolas ordered as he ran of to the entrance of the Palace.

(Later)

As Nicolas made through the hallways of the hospital he saw his wife and children waiting for him.

"Good that your here, any new on Anastasia?" Nicolas had no time for greetings and asked about the state of Anastasia.

The Doctor who was accompanying them informed that she is awake but still in a daze and unresponsive to any callouts.

As they made into the room Nicolas saw his daughter setting in her bed looking down on herself and slowly approached her.

"Anastasia it's me." He spoke in a soft tone.

She in turned her head to see him and started to cry once seeing him wich Nicolas immediately began to hug her.

"Dad!" she sobbed.

"Everything is alright Anastasia I'm here for you." He reassured her with a tight hug.

This reaction is normal as Anastasia is only ten years old despite her intellect. With her possible trauma of almost dying the Doctors think that this will have a lasting effect on her.

Many hours past with mostly Doctors making test to see if she's in perfect condition after waking up and finding no abnormalities she was aloud visitors once more with many of them being gifts from the people of Russia and from Nobility, Politicians with Priests coming to bless her.

"How are you Anastasia?" asked her father.

"I'm alright, but I keep thinking like I forgot something, something important." she said with a serious look.

"Then maybe it's not that important."said Nicolas

"I guess you're right." Anastasia still wasn't sure if whatever she forgot is important or not but the feeling won't go away.

'I hope is not important' she thought as she looked outside through the window.
