Detective Conan: Primary School Student, Help Me Become a chaebol!

Chapter 11: Title at the end.

Late at night, Baker Street.

Three black vans sped through the street, finally stopping at the entrance of Li Ze's house.

The car doors opened.

A large group of men dressed in black filed out one after another.

They looked at the small, dark western-style house, their eyes brimming with bloodthirsty madness.

At the front of the group stood a man with a sinister expression.

A long, slanted scar marred his face, and his fierce eyes burned with intensity. After a moment of hesitation, he spoke coldly:

"Everyone..."

"I won't say much, but I want to make one thing clear."

"Today's target isn't simple!"

"He has money. A lot of money!"

"The key is, he has no background. His death would mean nothing."

"While the boss instructed us to capture him alive if possible, all of you know we're just peripheral members."

"Even if we complete this task cleanly, none of us here will get a code name."

"So, here's my suggestion."

"We tie him up, demand money, take our share, and then kill him."

"Afterward, we just report that he refused to cooperate!"

"As long as we don't take too much, the organization will definitely turn a blind eye."

"What do you think? Who's in?"

The scarred man spoke with a cold, calculating tone.

The others exchanged uneasy glances but said nothing for a moment.

The reason was simple.

Even as peripheral members, their understanding of the dark organization was limited.

However, they were well aware of its cruelty.

Whenever one person made a mistake, the organization would eliminate an entire group as a warning.

In such circumstances, no one dared to speak first.

Time ticked by.

After five long minutes, someone finally broke the silence:

"Damn it, let's do it!"

"People risk their lives for money, and birds for food. We're living day to day anyway!"

"I've given up on earning a code name. Let's just make some money."

"Let's go!"

The atmosphere shifted.

The rest of the group followed suit, suppressing their rational thoughts as greed and bloodlust took over.

Even among the smarter ones who sensed something was off, no one dared to object.

The reason was simple:

If they stopped the others from making money, they would spark a life-or-death grudge.

To prevent snitches, these men would kill anyone who tried to stop them before moving forward.

Thus, even those reluctant to join nodded in agreement.

The scarred man smirked, satisfied with their response.

Seeing everyone agree, he drew his pistol and charged into the western-style house.

The others followed behind him, storming in with no coordination or strategy.

This lack of care was unsurprising.

After all, to them, this was just a typical upstart who had recently come into money.

What was there to fear?

But unfortunately for them, as soon as they burst into the house's living room, they were met with a hail of bullets.

Within a minute, the battle was over.

Except for the scarred man and five or six lucky survivors, the rest were killed instantly.

Resistance?

There was none!

Li Ze's assault team might have been considered cannon fodder within the Umbrella organization.

But the problem was this:

Umbrella's elite units were composed of top-tier soldiers from around the world, some even enhanced by the T-virus.

In this context, Umbrella's so-called cannon fodder teams were, in reality, among the world's top tactical units.

If they suffered casualties dealing with mere gangsters, it would truly be shocking.

"Surrender! We surrender!"

"Don't shoot! Please don't kill us!"

The remaining survivors dropped their weapons and fell to their knees.

They were terrified.

Seeing the foreign faces of the tactical team and their precise methods, they realized they had stumbled upon a formidable foe.

In such circumstances, surrender was the only logical option.

"Sir, how should we handle these men?" James Shedd asked, turning to Li Ze.

Li Ze responded decisively: "Have them call their boss."

The scarred man hesitated but ultimately gave in, dialing the number with trembling hands. He then handed the phone to James with great reluctance.

James took the phone and passed it to Li Ze.

"How's the job going? Is it done?"

A man's voice came through the receiver.

Li Ze immediately recognized it as Vodka's voice.

With a faint smile, he replied:

"Oh, what a pity."

"All your men are dead."

"While a few are still alive, I've decided to hand them over to the Metropolitan Police Department."

"I don't know who you are, and I'm not interested in finding out. Perhaps you're some chaebol's black glove."

"I only called to give you a warning."

"I won't pursue this matter further."

"But if you try something like this again, I'll treat it as a declaration of war."

"And by the way..."

"If you want to save these men, you'd better act quickly. The police will be here soon."

Li Ze's voice was calm and indifferent.

He hung up before Vodka could respond.

"Alright, call the police," Li Ze instructed.

Natasha nodded and stepped out of the room to make the call.

Fifteen minutes later, the sound of police sirens echoed outside.

Officer Megure led a large team to surround the house.

The aftermath of the gunfight was intense, and the tension was palpable.

Li Ze personally stepped forward, exchanged a few words with Officer Megure, and allowed the Metropolitan Police Department inside.

The sight of so many bodies caused their faces to turn grim.

After all, this was Tokyo.

A case of this magnitude, if mishandled, could lead to the superintendent bowing and apologizing publicly.

Officer Megure asked sternly, "Mr. Li Ze, what happened here?"

"Who are these dead men, and who are those foreigners?"

"This is a serious matter. Think carefully before you speak."

Meanwhile, outside, Dr. Agasa, Conan, and Ran arrived on the scene.

As they took in the chaotic aftermath, their expressions darkened.

This wasn't a typical murder case.

It was a full-blown gunfight!
