Destroying My Own World

Chapter 302: A loyal servant.

Mykel was drowned in the deep of the stream where he couldn't feel anything but cold and peace. He couldn't move his body and he saw the abyss inside his body leaving and seeping out. He watched how dark and filthy it was, and how it squirmed in pain because of the water.

He couldn't keep his eyes open because of how sleepy he was, so he didn't resist the sleepiness and closed his eyes. It was so calming and he could hear the ticking sounds in the far distance that echoed around him. Although he was asleep, he could sense his surroundings and hear everything as if he was half asleep.

When he wondered how far he would drown, the ticking sound stopped and that last tick echoed through his ears and made him wake up from his sleep. He opened his eyes and found himself in a space with millions of streams circling around in the air up high above him. He stood up and found one stream that was not far in front of him.

He approached it and looked at the flow of the stream from up close where he saw nothing but water and his own reflection. When he wanted to put his hand into the water, Aevia's hand blocked his hand and slowly pushed his hand away from the stream.

"This place is the archive. You don't want to disturb anything that has happened in the past, do you?" Aevia asked as she stared into Mykel's eyes.

Although Mykel couldn't see Aevia's gaze, he could feel the threatening aura and how she could easily snap and kill him in an instant. She might look gentle and harmless, but that was only one of the sides she had shown him.

"I understand," Mykel nodded and put his hand in his pocket so he wouldn't accidentally touch the stream. "Why did you bring me here?" he asked as he walked away from the stream.

"To meet with your predecessors. Follow me," Aevia answered and wrapped her arm around Mykel's left arm as she guided him.

The way Aevia treated Mykel only brought in more questions inside his head. He knew that she had been waiting for him because of who he was, but he couldn't help but wonder.

"Why do you preserve the past?" Mykel asked and thought that each stream was coming from one lifetime. He believed that it would be impossible to escape from one stream to another because they were on a totally different timeline.

He noticed that each stream had a different width and length, and that made him wonder if the width described how many dimensions existed in that lifetime. He knew the length had something to do with the span of that lifetime. He then tried to track all the streams and where they all ended up. He had a hunch that there was a giant lake or sea where all the streams connected to it.

"To see if the past will repeat itself or not," Aevia answered as she looked at Mykel. "You're quite sharp and intelligible, aren't you? Knowing what the archive is and what the streams are," she tilted her head and kept staring at him.

Mykel glanced at Aevia and he felt uncomfortable when someone could read his thoughts. He was a bit annoyed by it, and suddenly Aevia tilted her head as if she had been listening to his concern.

"You're my servant, and I don't see a reason why I shouldn't read your memories," Aevia stopped walking and removed her arm from Mykel's arm. She then walked to the front and stared at Mykel with her hand on top of his head. "If you're bothered that much, how about I make you a brainless one? Just like the one before you?" she asked.

"Would you be able to find someone like me in the future if you broke me now?" Mykel asked and didn't show any fear in his eyes. "Good luck finding your happy accident again," he added.

Mykel could see Aevia's cheeks raised and suddenly he felt something cold just touching his neck. He heard a loud thumping sound right below him, and when he looked down, his body was on the ground and his head was held by her.

When he realized that he was decapitated, he started to feel the pain and itch around his neck. It was painful and the fact that he was still conscious made it even worse because he didn't die even though his body was severed from his body.

"You need to understand your place, Mykel. You're indeed unique, but that doesn't mean your life is worth anything," Aevia said in an annoyed and irritated tone. "Your life is in my hand, and everything that you have, they're all mine," she continued and then dropped Mykel's head.

Mykel couldn't speak or breathe since he had no body to begin with and not to mention that he couldn't die. He glanced at the hourglass in Aevia's left hand and saw the grains of sand on the top half were full. As long as he still had sand in that hourglass, he couldn't die no matter what happened.

"Do you understand now? You're eternally stuck here unless I allow you to leave or die. You can act whatever you want, but the choice is yours whether to suffer eternally or to live to serve me," Aevia pointed out as she looked down at Mykel.

Mykel gasped for air and he realized that he could breathe again, and then he looked down at where his head had been attached back to his body. He slowly stood up, but then he saw Aevia offering her hand to help him. He looked at it for a moment, and then he grabbed her hand since he didn't want to make her angry.

"Are you lonely?" Mykel asked and looked at Aevia's hand. "I have never seen someone as short-tempered as you," he said without any hesitation.

Aevia stared at Mykel and realized how fearless he was, and it intrigued her because of his personality.

"I'm looking forward to serving you," Mykel said and kissed Aevia's hand and then looked at her with a smirk.

"I like you more than your predecessor," Aevia chuckled as she caressed Mykel's cheek. "Now follow me. I haven't shown you why I brought you here," she said and wrapped her arm around Mykel's arm.

Aevia and Mykel followed the streams and they ended up in a giant lake as Mykel had expected. All the streams filled the lake, but the question was what was inside the lake.

Aevia slowly pulled the cloth on her face and that was when Mykel saw the long silver hair fall and cover her face. She didn't hesitate to show her naked body and she had a perfect body, not too thick not too slim, not too big not too small. Her white pale skin and long legs like a supermodel made her look like a normal human being and not an omnipotent being.

"Get in," Aevia said as she walked into the lake.

Mykel watched Aevia completely go into the lake, leaving her long silver hair on the surface. He then removed his shirt and went naked before he dipped himself into the lake. It was the same feeling as when he was drowned earlier, and he could breathe inside the lake.

The lake was so clear that he could see Aevia in front of him, floating and staring into the deep. He swam toward her, but suddenly the current was pushing him away, dragging him into the middle. But Aevia grabbed his hand and pulled him toward her, hugging him tightly into her arms.

"Be careful now. If you ended up in that current, you would disappear forever," Aevia said as she looked at Mykel's face that was in between her chest.

"Why am I here if it's dangerous?" Mykel asked and he couldn't even look up because Aevia pressed her arms around his head onto her chest.

"Have you not realized? You have lost all the power that you possess, and it's time for you to take a new power from here," Aevia answered as she slowly loosened up her arms around Mykel's head. "It would be funny if you lose to some accident that tries to get here like you did, right?" she asked.

"Wait, so you—" Mykel was so dumbfounded that he couldn't finish his sentence when he looked up to look at Aevia's face.

Aevia's gorgeous sharp eyes with glistening gold pupils that pierce with an otherworldly radiance. Her nose is delicately sculpted, enhancing her ethereal beauty, and her lips are a vivid shade of red, exuding an irresistible allure.

"What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?" Aevia asked with a smirk and an alluring stare at Mykel.

"No, you stole it," Mykel answered and kept staring at Aevia's eyes.

Aevia smiled so widely that her eyes were barely open, and then she pushed Mykel away from her. At first, Mykel was panicking, but the current didn't drag him into the deep, instead, the current started to wrap around him.

"This is a gift, for becoming my servant. A power that dominates your predecessors, a power that can manipulate time and fate," Aevia said as she stared at Mykel. "You will have my power," she pointed out and the lake started to tremble, like an earthquake.

The lake was as deep as the abyss, all of the water ended up in the current and entered Mykel's body. The lake itself was Aevia's power that she granted when she started the clock and ended up there inside the lake. The power that even a drop of that water was enough to satiate the abyss' hunger forever. Discover hidden tales at My Virtual Library Empire

The lake dried out, and Mykel was floating above the crater that used to be the lake with Aevia in front of him. He didn't feel anything as if nothing had changed inside him, but he knew that he had become stronger. He possessed the power to control the time and fate of all creation in his grasp.

"What do you wish for me to do?" Mykel asked and stared into Aevia's eyes.

"Be my hands and eyes," Aevia answered as the cloth appeared out of nowhere and wrapped her body with it, covering her beautiful existence once more.
