Chapter 191: Worse than demons.
Aurea and Lillith came out of the plane that crashed in the middle of a forest after being shot down by missiles. They looked around and had no idea where they were, but Amaryllis told them where they were. They were stranded quite far from their destination, and she also told them that there were a lot of Awakeners and Chosen Ones on their way to hunt them down.
"Perfect. Let them come and when they're here, teleport us to the capital city and kill everyone. We can have a bloodbath without anyone stopping us," Aurea said with a huge smile on her face.
Amaryllis nodded with understanding and so the three of them were chilling in the forest. Aurea then had an idea to put up fake tracks and trails so those people would follow them which would lead them nowhere.
"They're here, let's go," Amaryllis said as she opened a portal.
Aurea and Lillith entered the portal and they were teleported into the middle of the crowded city. People were looking at them with mixed expressions, some were terrified and the rest were confused. Aurea slowly unsheathed her sword as people watched her, and then she swung her sword, cutting everyone and all the buildings around her in half. Blood started to cover the street as buildings collapsed around them and they could hear the screams of people who had lost half of their bodies.
"Music to my ear," Aurea smiled with her eyes closed and listened to the screams. "It's time to work," Aurea opened her eyes and started walking.
Aurea and Lillith went their separate ways and created their own masterpiece. It was as Aurea planned, there were not that many Awakeners or Chosen Ones, and none of them were a threat to them. They didn't waste a single second and massacred the whole city without much resistance from the people.
Sun Wukong heard the news about what had happened in Beijing after he had just arrived in the forest. He realized that they were being played and fooled by Aurea and Lillith.
"How the fuck did they enter the city unnoticed?! Wasn't it had been confirmed when they shot down the plane that nobody was coming out from it?" Lei asked as he crushed his phone in his hand.
"Maybe they have the ability to teleport as Sasha has, but either way, I don't think we will be able to save the people and the city. We fell for their trap," Sun Wukong answered. "But you don't have to worry. I can try to buy us some time," Sun Wukong pointed out.
"How?" Lei asked with his eyebrows furrowed.
"You'll see. For now, just get into the helicopter because we are going back to Beijing," Sun Wukong answered as he pulled out his golden staff from the back of his ear that was as small as a toothpick but then it grew to its original size.
Fortunately, he had prepared his clones around the city and decided to deploy them. He immediately summoned a cloud that he could ride on and went straight back to the city which would take him an hour. He knew that his clones wouldn't be enough to stop those two, and he could only try to buy them some time before those two massacred another city.
It took Sun Wukong and Lei Wu Xian an hour until they arrived, but the city had been totally destroyed. There were no survivors and the worst part was when they saw children lying on the ground dead with half of their bodies missing. They realized that they were dealing with something far worse than demons.
"We are too late..." Sun Wukong said and saw hundreds of his clones dead on the ground. "Do we have eyes on them and where they're going next?" Sun Wukong asked as he looked at Lei who was furious and the weather became bad with strong wind and dark clouds forming in the sky.
"I don't know, but staying here and doing nothing isn't what I'm going to do," Lei answered as he walked toward the helicopter to the nearest city. "When I see them, I'll show them a divine punishment," Lei added as he walked into the helicopter.
Sun Wukong watched the helicopter fly and then he did the same thing and went the other way.
Lei Wu Xian went to Tianjin which was in the south of Beijing, and that was where he saw a skyscraper collapse. He didn't hesitate to jump down from the helicopter which was two hundred meters from the ground. He manipulated the wind around him and made him land safely on his own two feet.
He watched people screaming and running for their lives in the distance, and when he was about to approach them, a strong shockwave crushed and exploded their bodies. He watched with his own two eyes of innocent lives gone right in front of him, and that made his heart pumping quickly.
"Give me power, the power to eradicate my enemies. I beg you and bestow me a divine power to give them divine punishment," Lei said as he walked past the dead bodies that scattered on the road.
The sky was torn by bolts of lightning and started to strike the buildings and the winds that sent the trees down. Those were his powers that reflected what he felt inside, anger and sadness. When he reached the big crossroads, he saw Aurea standing in the middle with a sword in her hand. He didn't hesitate to strike her with a thick bolt of lightning and create a small crater in the middle of the crossroads.
"You came too early. I still need to kill more of these people," Aurea said as the smoke thinned and slowly dispersed.
Aurea was unharmed, and Lei knew that wouldn't be enough to even hurt her. He then summoned fire spirits that looked like a phoenix and then sent them flying toward Aurea. Every flap of their wings was enough to melt the street lights and melt the glasses on the buildings.
Aurea looked at the four phoenixes flying toward her, and then she activated her [Lunacy] skill. The moment the skill got activated, the phoenixes were screeching and flew the other way because they were scared of her. Lei was surprised and he could feel the fear and the anxiety of the spirits.
"If that's the case, I have no other option," Lei said as he closed his eyes.
The sky rumbled, but Aurea could faintly hear a roar that came from above the clouds. She looked up and saw a massive silhouette that looked like a snake slithered above the dark clouds. The more flashes that the lightning created, the clearer the image of what it was.
A dragon without wings and a long body that made it look like a serpent came down the clouds. The dragon was big enough to circle the city with its body, and the moment it stared into Aurea's eyes, it started to roar and sent a powerful lightning bolt. It was so fast and powerful that Aurea didn't see it coming and the crossroads were totally wrecked. A giant crater was created and anyone would be turned into ashes if got hit by that.
"Interesting," Aurea paused as she walked out unscathed. "That stings quite a bit and I'm totally impressed by that," Aurea smiled as she stared at Lei. "But it's my turn now," Aurea said and then swung her sword at the sky.

The dragon was decapitated and turned into sparks of lightning, and the dark clouds were split because of that attack. Lei was terrified of how could someone possess such a power, a power that could make spirits fear her and could do an attack on them.
When he looked down, Aurea had disappeared, and he couldn't find her anywhere until he heard the screeches of the phoenixes from above. He saw Aurea absorbed the phoenixes, and he was in disbelief because nobody should be able to touch them or even get close to them. He realized that he wasn't ready to fight her and that he was a hundred years too early to challenge her.
"Who would have thought that you summoned delicious spirits just for me, I thank you for that," Aurea said as she looked down at Lei. "If you have more of them, I would love to have them for myself," Aurea giggled.
