Denial, Blood of The Fae

Raven smiled to himself as he read a book in his dorm room. It was his transfiguration book. He had practiced with the first spell he learnt in the class and was confused on why the (small) items he has changed so far, haven't changed back to their original form.

Meanwhile on his pillow slept his dear cat.

Idly thinking as he flipped a page, he hummed as he thought over what he has learned so far over the current two months he's been attending Hogwarts.

While it could get boring at times, he found it entertaining nevertheless. Especially due to a set of twins who lived to prank people. They seemed to be the only people who could set off Professor McGonagall, beside him.

He had played his own share of pranks. Easy to do with some basic charms and a metric fuck ton of magical energy to spare. Honestly he's never really run out or dry.

However, that's all he really did besides attending classes and studying. He didn't make any friends, everyone seemed to gravitate towards certain people, but he himself didn't really feel a pull to join some people.

Sure some of his fellow classmates came to him for help for class work and homework. But other than that, he didn't really interact with them.

Honestly, he's spent more time talking with Professor McGonagall, then with his fellow schoolmates.

Ok sure he could have gone and tried making friends with everyone, but he just couldn't bring himself to do so.

Humming to himself for a moment, he sighed and closed his book. His mind was far too distracted to focus on his book for the moment.

Getting up and leaving the book on his desk, he stretched like a cat and left the dorm room for a walk. It was the weekend, so no classes. Though like Ravenclaws do, almost all of them were studying.

Raven enjoyed his walk outside of Hogwarts. He was walking around the Great Lake shore. The winter breeze felt nice against his skin, the heating charms spelled onto his clothes keeping his body temperature up.

However as he was walking he heard a grunt and saw a person on the ground covered in blood, two identical redhead twins, or so he assumed, standing there with shocked looks directed at him.

However what stood out the most was their glowing red eyes and pearly white fangs, which were somewhat covered in red blood. He's seen enough of it to recognize it.

"I didn't see anything." He declared as he spun around and started walking off, however fifteen seconds later the two seemed to snap out of their shock and with insane speed, for a normal person anyway, they grabbed him and dragged him back.

"Oh no, it looks like I've been caught." He said with a melancholic tone. He had a smile though. "Whatever will happen to me, caught by two blood sucking twins." He grinned at them and they laughed. The person on the floor didn't seem to appreciate his humor as they just groaned in pain while trying and failing to hold the bite marks on their neck.

"Well would you look at that Fred, the firstie has jokes."

"I concur my dear George, though I thought I was Fred today."

"No I am. Though what should we do with him?"

"Murder?"

"No. He's too well known to Professor McGonagall."

"We can hide the body then."

"We could, but unfortunately I believe our dear headmaster would find it."

"Sorry to interrupt my future disappearance, but have you ever thought about burning a body into ashes and then tossing those ashes into several bodies of water." He pipped in as both twins looked at him and grinned.

"Well said my excellent fellow." Both said in sync.

"So you gonna finish that?" Raven asked curiously as he stared at the human body on the ground in wonderance.

"No." "Yes."

"Ok." He said with a casual shrug as he sat down and watched curiously. The two twins seemed to be bemused as one went and seemed to suck all the blood out the body as it dried up like a mummy.

It was kind of interesting.

He idly noted that the other twin sat next to him.

"Does this not creep you out?" They asked curiously and he could only smile blankly at the vampire.

"No. When you've been used as a cult sacrifice multiple times, you aren't freaked out. I think one time they cut out my heart, not sure how I'm alive and in perfect condition, but oh well." He said with a shrug as he watched the twin who finished the body off throw it into the woods where a pack of wolves appeared and ran off with it.

"Well that's one way to clean up." He muttered amused at how his day was going.

"Yes. Well I supposed since we've gone this far, instructions. Fred and George Weasley. Second year. Middle class vampires." One twin said happily.

"Raven Inanis. First year. Probably human, at least according to taxonomy." He said with a careless shrug.

"Well little firstie, we can't have you sharing about us. So you have two options. We make you disappear… or you become our friend!" The twins said in sync.

"Ok, nice to meet you new friends. Hope we get along." Raven said as he stared at them with a smile and shook both their hands and then kept on walking.

Once he was far away enough, both twins shivered.

"You felt it too, yeah?"

"Yes. His mere presence, it was suffocating. Scary. Made me want to run and never stop."

"Do we care though?"

"Nope."

"Friends are friends."

"Even new ones."

"Exactly!"

"Though we should probably tell the headmaster, just in case."

"Couldn't have said it better myself Fred."

"I thought you said I was Fred today."

"No I'm Fred, you're George."

"Oh."

"Yep."

Raven smiled to himself as he fell asleep with Izzy curled up above his head.

He made two whole friends today. TWO!

Ok sure they weren't human, but did that really matter? They were people. Friends are friends! His first friends at that!

Well if he didn't count Izzy… so his first non fur covered friends! Yep, that works.

So I know it's been a little while since I've updated this story. I've got a reason. I'm trying to build an original story line, while using canon as a base, but it's not to much to work with since I'm basically throwing everything to the wind trying to make it all work lmao.

Anyway, I've decided I'll do chapters similar to this for his first year of Hogwarts, it won't be too many, but it'll be a little bit to finish this year. I want a proper story after all, and that doesn't count his summer journey, which I'll need to do a bit of preparation for how I wanna get it done.

Also for those who are thinking about the Weasley twins, I'll just say I've got plans for them to stay semi-relevant. I don't see them as majorly involved in a lot of the fics I've read, only left as good people usually. So I thought why not make them part relevant here. Major plans for them. Major plans.

Now about Raven's personality and background… no spoilers sorry.

I'll end these notes here, ima go to bed, gonna go get a haircut tomorrow and plan some world domination. Casual Wednesday stuff you know?
