Denial, Blood of The Fae

Chapter 31: Chapter 31: Lore Accurate Raven

Raven hummed happily as he stared at his newly designed armbands. They were made of tough materials that was comfortable. Inside them though was light sheets of metal containing the runic formula for his shield runic cluster.

He still hadn't figured out the new runic formula for omnidirectional shield, but he had decided to make arm band versions as a placeholder.

Once he created the omnidirectional one, he would work on having it appear only where needed to preserve mana.

Bonus though, was that it was set to recognize a certain amount of magical energy as harmful and would spring up a shield if it got to close to him.

"This will definitely be handy." Raven laughed cheerfully as he hopped around testing the grip of the armbands.

A few acrobatic movements later, he was happy he hadn't used magic to make them stick to him, any cancelation of spells on his person could have them falling off, so he had instead use the next best thing.

Gravity and grip. The outer material had a tight grip, and combined with the weight of the metal, it didn't move around.

"Tempus." Raven said with a wave of his hand, idly checking the time and paling as he realized he had to sprint across the castle if he wanted to be on time to Minerva's next lesson.

"Shit, not good!" Raven cursed as he ran through the hallways and eventually jumping down the spiral stare cases and sliding down them with practiced ease.

He totally didn't do this all the time at night practicing when nobody was looking. Totally not.

Raven hummed happily as he enjoyed the dinner prepared by the house elves. Full Italian style pizza.

Of course he was the only one with it. He could see the envious glances sent his way.

The specific deal he had made with the house elves of Hogwarts was a simple one. He provided them more diverse and delicious meal recipes, and in return they cooked specific meals only for him, and those he said they could cook for said people.

Raven laughed silently as he looked around. A small moan of pleasure escaping his mouth as he swallowed a bite of pizza down.

"Can you not? Also why do you get pizza and we don't?" One older Ravenclaw asked not liking not knowing this. Also annoyed at being denied pizza, especially Italian pizza, it was in his blood.

"Because I'm the best." Raven declared the fact. Those around him rolled their eyes and stopped talking to him for a while.

Totally not because of jealousy.

A blonde ferret frowned as he stared ahead at Raven.

Raven frowned as he stared at the group of 6 in front of him. A blonde ferret, two muscle brutes beside him. Three older years next to them. Seventh years. Two prefects.

"Oh my, little firsties and big bad seventh years." Raven said dramatically as he looked at the six people.

"Shut up mudblood. You've been strutting around the castle like you own it. It's time you learn your place, at the feet of pure bloods like us!" The blonde ferret snapped out and Raven huffed in amusement.

"Oh no, the big bad pure bloods are going to teach me a lesson." Raven mock shivered in fear. He couldn't fear a teenager from here at Hogwarts.

Honestly, they were just cute when they made threats.

When you trained with people like Lorelei who hunts dead apostles for fun, wizards were mostly a joke beside a short few like Albus and Grindlewald.

"Shut up mudblood, apologize and maybe we won't scar you too bad." One of the seventh years declared.

"Oh really~" Raven sang out uncaringly, before he blinked as his shield popped up blocking a curse aimed at his arm.

"Not cool dude." Raven said and within a moment had his wand drawn and a bloating jinx aimed at the casters head and watched amused as it grew, he then casted a silence and floating jinx as well.

"Now, shall we begin gentlemen?" Raven asked smiling as he got into a more showy stance then efficient one. He didn't feel threatened by them, and he trusted his shields to cover for him.

"Confringo!" "Reducto!" "Flipendo!" "Diffindo!" "Diffindo!"

Raven casually held up one arm and blocked all five spells and then he flicked his wand and disarmed one of the two remaining seven years and sent him flying with his own knockback jinx. A sleeping curse followed.

"Oh boy. Not even ten seconds in, and already two of your heavy hitters down." Raven mockingly said happily before dodging another round of spells and grabbed one of the gorilla like body guards that charged at him and casually tossed the two rushing bodyguards behind him into the wall and a metal armor suit following onto them trapping them.

"Now only you two left." Raven chuckled darkly as he raised his wand and flicked his hand causing the remaining seventh year to grow boils and fall asleep.

"Now there was only the ferret left~" Raven smiled like an angel, though his eyes, they were that of a demon.

"Now little ferret, let me make you an example why you don't mess with me." Raven said as it looked like flowers surrounded him. The picture perfect form of innocence, yet his eyes were that of a demons.

The next morning at breakfast, Draco Malfoy and the five others were found tied up and hanging from the roof of the great hall.

All dangling by a rope around their feet. All in their underwear. The words "Mudblood Lover" written on them in brown dried mud standing out.

It took the professors a couple minutes to get them down since the ropes were charmed strongly. Albus seemed to glance around, momentarily lingering on Raven, a familiar twinkle in his eyes.

Raven only raised a glass of wine into the air in amusement.

Raven hummed in thought as he walked through the crowds of students. He could hear all their faint whispers, but he was tuning them out.

Unnoticed by him, the shadows in the castle danced unnaturally. Climbing higher, forming odd shapes. The forms of people and weird creatures momentarily formed before losing their shapes and becoming formless wild shadows.

"Devour their souls."

Raven froze momentarily before continuing walking around the students, something seemed off about the students, but he shrugged that off as not truly paying attention to mort his fellow students.

Meanwhile at the same time in a different part of the castle, a clocks hands moved.

The time read as such.

3:35am.

The light of the clock showing the shadows dancing in the odd form of a grinning monster with sharp teeth.

•~~~~•

Raven huffed as he tried to dodge the students and go into the library. They all seemed to have their eyes on him, their mouths moving, but he didn't care.

Though he felt that the castle was unnaturally occupied today. Perhaps it was just everyone studying for the upcoming test?

Meanwhile a pair of red eyes watched concerned from a pillar.
