Demon Slayer : LEveLing uP

Chapter 26: Why Sakura became Slayer

After he took down the demons, he quickly slid his sword back into its sheath and made his way over to his family.

With a gentle smile, he asked, "Is everyone alright?"

"Yes, thank you for protecting us," the man replied.

"Are the demons really gone?" asked the woman as she stood up with her children behind the man.

"For now, yes. I don't think there's any reason to worry at the moment," Ishida replied, noticing the man's arm and neck were covered in wounds, and his clothes and hands were stained with blood. "You're injured," he said.

"It's nothing. It'll heal; the important thing is that we're safe," the man insisted.

"Wait, I think I have something," Ishida said as he opened his inventory. 'I have an instant healing potion, though I'm not sure if it works on others,' he thought.

He pulled out one of the four potions he had in his inventory and handed it to the man. "Drink this. It might help with your injuries for now," he suggested.

The man hesitated for a moment, then took the potion and asked, "Do I need to drink the whole thing?"

"Yes, that's fine," Ishida reassured him.

The man, trusting Ishida's words, opened the bottle and drank the entire potion. As soon as he did, a screen suddenly popped up in front of Ishida.

[Recovery for Instant Heal Potion Minimized to 70% for an 'unknown' user other than the 'Player']

'I get it now. So, if someone else drinks the potion, it heals them 70% instead of fully, like it does for me. That's interesting...' Ishida thought to himself.

"Wow, it worked like magic! The pain's gone, and my wounds have stopped bleeding," the man exclaimed.

"But you'll still need to take other medicines to heal completely," Ishida reminded him. "By the way, is that house in the middle of the forest yours?"

"No," the man replied directly.

"Got it," Ishida said.

After this, Ishida helped the family make their way across the forest. From their conversation, he learned that they were on their way home when the demons attacked them while they were walking near the forest. During the attack, the demons had taken their youngest child, whom Ishida later managed to rescue.

After guiding them safely out of the forest and chatting with them a bit more, Ishida said his goodbyes. He made sure to give a special farewell to the child he had saved, feeling a sense of relief and accomplishment.

One question kept popping into his head: "Why is there a house in the middle of the forest? And who does it belong to?"

After a long walk, he finally made it back home. He headed straight to his room and flopped onto his bed.

Ishida thought to himself, "I need to get my everyday task given by system done and wait for my missions to start with the Demon Slayer Corps. But do I really have to move to the Corps headquarters? Anyway, my goal is clear: fight the demons and keep innocent people safe." With that in mind, he quickly took a bath and lay down for a nap, just as he had planned.

In reality, the slayers who lived close to the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters could stay in their own homes and head out on missions from there. But since Ishida's house was a two-day journey from the headquarters, they advised him to move closer, where other slayers also lived.

Meanwhile...

Sakura returned to her house to find it empty. She walked in, sat on her bed, and pulled out the sword she received after her training was complete—the same one she used in battles. She whispered to herself, "I will become just like you, fight alongside you, and one day, I'll be next in line for your position."

She set her sword aside, changed into some comfy clothes, and headed to the kitchen to cook something. The walk home from the final selection left her feeling hungry.

As she gathered ingredients, she thought, "I should move to the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters. I hope I can see him again."

In reality, she didn't have to live at the Corps headquarters since her house was nearby. But the chance to be close to that special someone she wanted to be like , she won't miss that.

[A.N : WHO IS THAT PERSON ??? GUESS !?]
