Delayed Transfer

Chapter 448

“I guess we have to skip visiting the guilds today,” Mark told his friends since they did take several hours entertaining themselves in the red light district plus some time taking pictures and videos that they could post on their social media accounts of the night streets of the city of Melona.

They couldn’t help themselves since the magic lights that served as street lights brought a truly magical and romantic feeling to the streets of the fantasy city of Melona and by the time they were done, even if the guilds were still open they were too exhausted to continue.

“Are we going to visit tomorrow?” Enleed asked.

“No. We need to go back to dungeon diving. I want more spell slots so I could have more diverse attacks,” Armina replied while Sam and Blake simply nodded.

Enleed shrugged and Mark told him that there would be more opportunities next time.

“What about you? What are your plans?” Sam asked Mark.

“I’ll stick to the circus for a couple of weeks then I’ll also go back to dungeon diving but since I completed my own dungeon, I will need to try the more advanced dungeon here in Melona and probably try to find a group to join that will tackle dungeon level above one hundred. Or maybe try to do it solo at first and if I find myself struggling, then I’ll go find a group. It would have been easier if I could summon Yoda in battle but since it’s acting as a roller coaster, I will need to use other spells,” Mark answered.

“How deep is the dungeon of Melona again?” Blake asked Mark.

“I believe it’s two hundred.”

They decided to return to their RVs in the circus to rest.

“You know what, I’ve been expecting that we’ll encounter some kind of face-slapping event while we’re here in the city but so far, everyone we have encountered so far had been decent,” Enleed said.

“You’re still addicted to translated Chinese web novels?” Asked Armina.

“Hey! I love Chinese web novels as well!” Mark said.

“I remember you saying that Chinese web novels were tedious when you started reading them. I remember that after you read thousands of Japanese web novels, you muttered that you finished them all and couldn’t find new ones that you liked so you started reading the Korean ones and when you thought you finished them all as well, you then began reading the Chinese translated web novels. Now they’re your favorite?” Sam said.

“Each web novel from different countries has specific things going for them. The biggest advantage that the Chinese had was there are a lot of them and some of them have truly impressive plots and magic system settings. Not only that some of the translators were very impressive as well!” Mark said.

“Chinese web novels do have a lot of face-slapping scenes,” Armina said.

“Yeah, and we haven’t encountered one here,” Enleed said again.

“Adventurers are rowdy people but they’re not stupid like some of those characters in novels. They wouldn’t become powerful if they acted stupid. Any person you encounter could be a powerful being and it would be very hard to judge someone on how they looked like so adventurers tend to not offend anyone casually. Most of them are brave and will not shy away from any conflict but the wiser ones tend to keep to themselves and will only act rowdy with their friends,” Mark said.

Mark’s friends realized the truth in that and they planned to adopt the same behavior especially since they’re still novices. The only reason Enleed was feeling brave and was looking forward to a face-slapping incident was because Mark was with them and they knew that their friend was a truly powerful wizard because of his system.

“I wish I have a system as well,” Enleed muttered.

“It’s nice to have a system but the fact that we have the opportunity to acquire a fantasy profession is enough for me,” Blake said softly.

“At the end of the day, if you reach the pinnacle of power using whatever system you have due to hard work, it doesn’t matter anymore,” Mark commented.

“By the way, we planned to go back to Earth for a couple of hours tomorrow to buy some things,” Sam told Mark.

“Just take care since the government knows that you’re my friends, there’s a chance that they will look for you, and remember the Warp Gate is now established in the mansion that Donald chose as our safe house so you will need to travel to go the nearest shop where you can purchase things so you need to include that in your planning.”

They arrived in the circus late and by request, replicated some pizzas and sodas for dinner for everyone. Melina informed Mark that the kids were already asleep inside his RV.

During dinner, Mark and his friends talked about a lot of things like the strategies they had been adapting to fight the monsters in the dungeon. Each one of them admitted that they were in love with the current adventurer lifestyle and the fact that they could go back and forth from Earth to this world made their current lives perfect in their opinion.

“If you tell me to leave Sam and be your boyfriend so I can continue living this life, I will do so in a heartbeat,” Blake said and Sam attacked him till everyone was laughing uproariously.

“I wish we could join you in your dungeon dive,” Enleed told Mark.

“Yeah, I wish that too,” Mark said.

“Looking at the situation, it will probably be a long time before we can join Mark on his adventure as an equal,” Armina said.

“At least all of you are working hard to do that. There’s still a huge chance that you may catch up to me since I’ve been slacking in leveling up. I haven’t been to a dungeon ever since I completed my system dungeon.”

That statement energized his friends.

“That’s good! Let’s rest now and start early tomorrow,” Sam said and drove everyone to rest in their RVs.

When Mark woke up the next day, he learned that Sam’s group already left for Earth to purchase the things they wanted to bring inside the dungeon while Donald and Robert’s group went to Narcone to start dungeon diving. Luckily for Albert, it was his school vacation since Danielle mentioned that as soon as school started, they would return to England for Albert to continue his schooling.

The twins heard that as well and they asked Albert about his school. When Albert told them that it was boring and that he would rather stay here to continue dungeon diving, the twins looked like they lost interest. Albert then made a suggestion that flabbergasted Mark.

“Would you like to join me in school in England?”

The twins and surprisingly, Liriel looked at Mark. That time, Mark truly didn’t know how to answer but after a few seconds of thinking, he told everyone that he would research on that first.

He said that not only to pacify the twins and Liriel but he would really do it. He would talk to his friends about that suggestion particularly to Robert and Danielle since they were the best ones who could assist him if he did decide to allow the twins and Liriel to study on Earth.

Truthfully, something like that was not impossible since he could establish Warp Gates that would allow the kids to go back and forth from Earth to Veltun in no time but again, Mark would need to think about it thoroughly.
