Chapter 31: Chapter no.31: A Disturbed Man-Koichi Shido

Koichi Shido had a perfect life growing up. A loving mother, a strong father, and let's not forget—he was smart. No, not just smart—brilliant. A high IQ, and if you asked him, damn good looks too. But the best part? His future. It was set in stone. He was Koichi Shido, heir to Koichi Company Inc., a global conglomerate that made billions every year.

He was destined for the top, far above the losers who surrounded him. They were beneath him. His path was clear, his throne already carved out, waiting for him to ascend.

Until it all came crashing down.

His father's affair—it wasn't supposed to matter. It should've been handled quietly, like all things in their world. A private affair, swept under the rug. But no, some damn reporter got wind of it. Of course, his father's money made sure the public never knew, but his mother… well, she found out. And just like that, his perfect life shattered. Divorce. Custody. His mother yanked him away from his birthright, like some petty revenge against his father.

They went from being the top 1% to some pathetic, relatively rich income household. Sure, they still had money, but it wasn't their money. It wasn't the legacy he was supposed to inherit. His mother didn't even work. She just spent the divorce money, wasted it on frivolous things. She disgusted him. She could've shut up, pretended the affair never happened. They could've stayed at the top. But no. She had to make a scene. She had to drag him down with her.

He hated her for it. Every damn day he hated her. Why couldn't she just keep her mouth shut?

That hatred followed him through high school, through college, and even through university. He got his PhD in engineering, but that never mattered. The idea of being his father's heir never left him. It was his right. His destiny. But years passed, and he hadn't spoken to his father. Not a word. His father had a new family. He didn't care. He didn't want Koichi.

He wasn't going to let that stand.

So he had his mother killed.

It was easy, really. A bounty on the dark web, a little personal info about her morning jog, and one car accident later—problem solved. He didn't even have to get his hands dirty. That was the beauty of it. It was all done for him, and suddenly, his father's company reached out, sending him some mourning gifts. Something polite, something empty, but at least it was a contact. It was the least his father could do after all these years.

But that wasn't enough. He hated his father for his new family. Hated the idea that someone else could have what was rightfully his. How could they? How could his father move on, give everything that should've been Koichi's to someone else?

Every time he thought about it, rage boiled in his veins. That life was his. And he would do whatever it took to reclaim it. His father didn't care, but Koichi would make him care. He would take back what should have been his from the beginning.

He deserved it. They didn't.

They were in his way.

Koichi Shido had spent years devising this plan, tracking down where his father and his new family had settled. He wasn't going to let them live in peace, not when he was the rightful heir to everything.

It was simple.

He would ruin their image—destroy this new family so thoroughly that his father would have no choice but to crawl back to him, beg him to take his place as the true successor.

And his first target?

That disgusting little child they called his niece. The moment she was born, he knew she would be the key to breaking them.

Plan A had been blackmail.

He would take pictures of Rei as a child and use them to pressure his father, to tear apart their perfect little world. But then something unexpected happened. When he uploaded those first few pictures onto the dark web, he received requests. Creeps from all over the world wanted more. They wanted her. And that's when Shido realized—Rei Miyamoto wasn't just a tool for blackmail. She was his cash cow.

Over the years, he documented her every move. He took pictures, videos, anything he could. He sold them on his site, and his loyal customers paid handsomely for the content. But as the years passed, the requests became more… extreme, more sexual. He needed more, and when Rei was sent off to high school while her father, his pathetic stepbrother, tried to impress the board of directors, Shido saw his opportunity.

He broke into her house.

It was easier than he expected, slipping inside unnoticed. He installed custom-made cameras in every room, in places they would never suspect. And suddenly, his business was booming again.

He sold her privacy, her secrets … everything was available on the darkweb if you had the money.

The money rolled in, but it still wasn't enough.

It wasn't about the money.

Frankly even with the hundreds of thousands of dollars he made on the darkweb.

It wasn't enough.

He needed to be his father's heir.

Rei's father had wormed his way into an incredibly favorable position, and Shido was desperate. Desperate enough to start threatening Rei, hoping her parents would panic, come rushing back for her. And the moment they did, he would release everything—every filthy secret, every disgusting image—to the public. It wasn't like the old days, back when his father could pay to keep his image spotless. This time, when the scandal hit, his father would be forced to abandon Rei and her family.

He would crown Shido as his successor.

There was no other option.

Yet, despite everything Shido did—despite all the threats, the fear—he watched as Rei's parents barely even noticed. They were more focused on their careers, on securing his father's approval, than on protecting their own daughter.

It was annoying.

That's when Shido decided he needed to take things a step further.

Koichi Shido moved silently through the hallway, the cold, sterile light casting long shadows on the floor. His heart raced, but not with fear—no, with excitement. The thrill of knowing that everything had gone according to plan. Rei, his precious little goose, was exactly where he wanted her. Drugged, asleep, vulnerable. Soon, she would be his to mold, trapped in the spell dungeon he had prepared just for her. A perfect room, an inescapable prison where she could never scream loud enough to be heard.

This strange feeling washed over him.

It was… perverted, twisted, like a rush of adrenaline mixed with a deep, sick satisfaction. He had the power now. He had the control. And the thought of his stepbrother's horrified face when he saw what Shido was about to do—it thrilled him. It was payback, years in the making.

But it wasn't enough, he was going to rape Rei, record her and then send them to her parents.

He paused at the door, feeling the weight of the moment. This was it. The culmination of everything he had worked for. The pleasure of control, of power. He gripped the handle, the cold metal cool beneath his fingers.

Soon, you'll be where you belong, Rei, he thought, smiling to himself.

And there's no one who can save you now.

Oh, he was going to ravage her body … Her tight teen body!

Shido found himself hard at the thought.

The door creaked open, revealing her lying still beneath the thick duvet. He could see the gentle rise and fall of her chest—each breath slow and steady, just as the Zolpidem should make it. She was completely out, completely helpless.

Good girl.

As he got closer, he reached out, ready to take off her pants and enjoy himself. He'd have full control.

Finally.

But then something shifted. A subtle tension in the air.

Before he could process it, the duvet flew off, and there she was—awake.

"What the—"

Her hand shot out from beneath the covers, and in an instant, something sprayed into his eyes.

Pepper spray!

The pain was immediate. His eyes burned as if they were being seared from the inside. A white-hot agony tore through his skull, blinding him. He staggered back, howling in disbelief. How? How could she have been awake? She was supposed to be asleep! The drug—it should've worked!

He stumbled, clawing at his face, trying to wipe the burning liquid from his eyes, but it was no use. The more he rubbed, the more it burned, the more it spread, as if the fire was consuming every inch of his skin. His throat clenched, choking on the fumes, the sting of the pepper spray filling his lungs. It felt like he was breathing in acid.

"Rei!" he shouted, though his voice cracked from the pain. He could barely see, everything a blur of shadow and light. His face was wet with tears—his body's pathetic attempt to flush out the poison burning him alive. How could she do this to me?

No, no, no! This wasn't supposed to happen!

He staggered toward the door, desperate for relief, for something, anything to stop the pain. His vision was useless now, a blur of colors and streaks. Every nerve in his body screamed in agony. He could barely keep his balance. He had to get out of here. He had to—

She had outsmarted him. Me.

Through the haze of pain, rage began to boil in his chest. He had been in control. He had orchestrated everything so perfectly, and yet she had seen through it. She had prepared for this.

I'll rape you, you whore, he promised himself, even as his lungs burned, even as his eyes streamed with relentless agony.

Rei stared at him—the monster in human skin. Koichi Shido was writhing on the floor, clawing at his burning eyes, blinded by the pepper spray. It was cathartic, watching him suffer like that. Seeing him weak, vulnerable, after everything he had put her through. But she wasn't done. Not yet.

Her heart pounded in her chest, adrenaline rushing through her like wildfire. She needed more.

Rei scanned the room quickly, her hands trembling, and her eyes landed on the lamp. Without thinking, she grabbed it, feeling the weight of it in her hand. Heavy. Good. Her blood boiled as she raised it high and swung it down with all the strength she had.

The lamp connected with his chest, right above his heart. The sound was sickening, a crunch of impact followed by his pained grunt. But she didn't stop. Her breathing was ragged, her thoughts chaotic. This wasn't enough. He deserved more.

She rushed to the cupboard, her hands shaking as she pulled it open and yanked out the drawer. Everything inside spilled onto the floor, but she didn't care. Her hands gripped the edge of the drawer tightly, and she turned back to him.

He was crawling now, dragging himself toward the door, still blinded, still gasping for breath. But he wasn't getting away. Not this time.

Rei swung the drawer down hard on his head, and then again. And again. The force of it made her arms scream in pain, but she couldn't stop. She wouldn't stop. Each hit, each blow, felt like it was releasing something inside her—years of fear, shame, anger. Her life had been torn apart because of him.

She hit him again, harder this time, the sharp edge of the drawer cracking against his skull. He slumped against the floor, blood pooling beneath him, staining the hardwood.

But she wasn't done. She kept swinging, her body moving on autopilot, driven by pure rage. Her tears mixed with the blood, her sobs shaking her to her core as she wailed on him. Her dignity. Her privacy. Her fear. Everything he had taken from her, she poured into those swings.

Finally, she stopped. Her arms felt like jelly, her entire body trembling with exhaustion and emotion. She dropped the drawer, hearing it clatter uselessly to the floor. She stood there, breathing heavily, staring at the mess she had made—the bloody, broken mess of a man lying in front of her.

Koichi Shido was knocked out, blood streaking down his face, his body limp. The sight of him should've horrified her. But it didn't. It felt… satisfying. There was something twistedly liberating in seeing him like this—powerless, defeated.

Tears streamed down her face, but this time they weren't just from fear. They were from release. From finally letting go of the terror that had gripped her for so long. She could finally breathe.

But she couldn't call the police. Not yet. This wasn't enough. This wasn't justice. He had to pay, and not just with a couple of broken bones. He had to feel what she felt.

Rei pulled out her phone, her hands still shaking as she scrolled to Kozen's number. He'd understand. He'd know what to do.

The phone rang, and her heart raced again, but this time it wasn't fear—it was anticipation. As soon as he picked up, she didn't waste a second.

"Hey, Kozen," she said, her voice still ragged from crying. "Update—so I kinda knocked out the asshole, and I was wondering if you wanted to help me with this guy. You know, a little good old conversation with your fists and my foot up his ass. What do you say?"
