DC:The Darkest Knight

Chapter 23: Picnic

"How do I look, Alfred?" Teleute asked Alfred as she did a spin in front of the mirror.

"You look phenomenal as always, Lady Teleute," Alfred said, holding a picnic basket.

"I hope Bruce likes it," Teleute said as she looked at herself in the mirror.

"Master Bruce truly adores you, Lady Teleute. Nothing you wear will change that, and I assure you that even if you were to wear rags, he would still see you as the most beautiful and love you." Alfred assured her.

"And I love him, Alfred." Teleute said with a sweet smile.

"Please don't tell Master Bruce that, or he would do something insane to prove that he loves you more. And my poor heart is too fragile for more of Master Bruce's antics," Alfred said, recalling Bruce's past antics to show his love for Teleute.

Like the time he carved her name on the moon, big enough to be visible from Earth, causing worldwide chaos, it was broadcast on the news 24/7. Cults were created, riots began to break, and people began to kill themselves all over the world, thinking this was the end. Even world leaders came together and prepared for a world-threatening threat, thinking it was an alien invasion because "Teleute" means death in Greek.

But somehow, everything returned to normal a few days later; no one remembered, like it had never happened, and there was no trace of the incident.

Or, the time when Alfred accidentally came across one of Bruce's blueprints for Teleute's statue. The main issue was not the statue, but rather its location. Bruce had planned to transform the entire Mount Everest into a statue of Teleute. After seeing the blueprint, Alfred immediately sought out Bruce and tried to convince him to abandon this plan. Of course, he was not successful until he snitched to Teleute about Bruce's plan. It was then that Bruce gave up his plan.

Or the black roses in the garden that are fully organic, shaped like a heart with an ankh inside. There is nothing unusual about them except that whenever Teleute is near these roses, they sing love songs.

Or how on their anniversary, Bruce somehow created an island shaped like an ankh, just like Teleute's necklace, right in the ocean near Gotham.

He called it Death's Gift, which had an artificial sun and moon, seasons, and even its own ecosystem. It was filled with creatures called Pokémon. But when the island drew too much attention, Bruce moved it to the middle of the Bermuda Triangle, where the island remains for Teleute to visit whenever she wants to.

And when Alfred asked Bruce how he created an island with its own ecosystem and the unknown creature inside of it, Bruce's answer was, "I made it with the power of love."

"What do you guys think?" Teleute asked as several xenomorphs, who recognized her as their queen from her previous visit to the batcave, crawled down from the walls and ceiling to her side, nudging her with their heads.

"Hehehe, who's a good boy?" Teleute said, petting their heads while the xenomorphs made happy hissing sounds.

"Aren't they adorable, Alfred? They remind me of big puppies," Teleute remarked to Alfred as she scratched a xenomorph under the chin.

"They are flesh-eating creatures, far more dangerous than any animal on Earth, Lady Teleute. They are not puppies. There's even footage of them tearing a man apart alive in the batcomputer," Alfred replied, glancing at his watch.

"Master Bruce is probably waiting for you, Lady Teleute," Alfred said as he shooed away the Xenomorphs, and one of them lunged at him, but he swiftly knocked it out with a backhand, while the other two obediently returned to the Batcave.

"Don't be too hard on them, Alfred. They are just protecting me," Teleute said as she took the picnic basket from Alfred and headed toward the batcave.

"You are just the cutest," Teleute said with a smile as she pinched Pikachu's cheeks while she and Bruce were on the Death's Gift island for their picnic date.

"Pika, pika." Pikachu closed his eyes, enjoying the affection.

"Char," seeing that Pikachu was getting the most attention, Charmander sat on the ground, looking sad and gazing at Teleute with watery eyes, hoping for some love.

"Squirtle, Squirtle, Squirtle."

"Hahahahaha."

While Bruce, wearing large triangle sunglasses, laughed with his Squirtle squad, also wearing sunglasses, laughed as they pranked another Pokémon, a Bulbasaur, by throwing it into the river.

"Dear, don't bully poor things. Come eat your sandwich," Teleute called to Bruce while she gently patted Charmander's belly, this time making Pikachu look at her with sad eyes, Meanwhile, Jigglypuff was trying to climb up on a rock next to them.

"Wifey is calling, boys. I'm out," Bruce said as he took off his sunglasses.

"Squirtle, Squirtle."

"Of course, I'm a simp, but only for her. Look at her, isn't she more perfect than perfect?" he said, looking at Teleute with nothing but love in his eyes as he hooked Squirtle's shoulder.

"Squirtle."

"Whatever, water boy. You're just jealous," Bruce said as his sunglasses transformed into earplugs.

"You guys continue without me," he said, giving the Squirtle squad a high-five and walking toward Teleute.

She was enjoying a Jigglypuff concert, smiling while various Pokémon napped around her.

*Clap, clap*

"Thank you for the lovely song, Jigglypuff," Teleute cheered as the concert ended.

"Jigglypuff, Jigglypuff." Jigglypuff, touched by Teleute's praise, rushed to her lap with tears of joy. It was the first time someone truly listened to her song instead of just falling asleep.

Seeing Jigglypuff so happy, Bruce grinned mischievously as he sat next to Teleute.

"It was a wonderful concert, Jigglypuff, but it's a shame we were the only ones who appreciated it," Bruce said, slyly pulling out his earplugs.

Jigglypuff glanced around and noticed that all the other Pokémon had dozed off during her performance. Her cheeks puffed out like balloons as she pulled out a marker from behind her. Leaping off Teleute's lap, she began to draw things on the sleeping Pokémon's faces while Teleute giggled at her playful behavior, and Bruce rested his head on Teleute's lap.

"You've been working too hard lately, dear. You should take a break and relax," Teleute said as she fed grapes to Bruce.

"I'm relaxing right now, my love, on your lovely and soft thighs, admiring your beautiful smile. I feel so relaxed I could turn into a puddle of pudding," Bruce said as he just laid on Teleute's lap without moving a single muscle except his mouth to enjoy the grapes Teleute was feeding him.

"You only relax when I'm around. That's not what I mean, darling. When I'm not with you, you're always busy with work or building something. You need to take some time to relax on your own and rest for a bit."

"Meh, I don't need to relax or rest when I'm all by myself. It's boring and feels like a waste of time. But not with you; with you, it feels like the time I spend is more fulfilling than anything else in this existence."

"Your stubbornness will be the end of me, beloved," Teleute sighed, not wanting to argue over something trivial.

"Now, now, don't say things like that. The thought of you not being with me is scarier than being hit on by a Superman affected by pink kryptonite," Bruce said with a small grin, turning onto his stomach and burying his head between Teleute's thighs.

"Hehehe," Teleute laughed at his joke while gently stroking his hair.

"Tell me one of your stories. I want to listen to your sweet voice more."

"Hmm...let me tell you about the time I visited Marvel. I actually went there to attend the wedding of a lovely girl named Marlo, such a sweet girl. And before the wedding, I did travel around a bit, checking out Knowhere and Nidavellir..." Then she went on to describe the places she had seen.

***

"Just when I was about to enjoy some space shrimp, that purple creep showed up," Teleute said, her voice shifting to anger and disgust, which was rare for her since she was usually so cheerful.

"He called me his love, bragging about how he had killed millions and destroyed universes for me. Even when I told him I wasn't his 'death', he wouldn't leave me alone. 'Ugh,' because I thought that creep would show up, I left the wedding early and missed out on the wedding cake," she added, sounding a bit upset at the end.

"It's okay, my love. Don't be angry." I gently stroked her back to soothe her while lying in her lap, my face buried in her stomach, breathing in her sweet scent.

'Eden, add Thanos the Mad Titan to my drive-by list.'

{As you wish, sir}

[In a distant future]

In another universe, in a distant galaxy, on an unknown planet, Thanos, the mad titan, sat among the remnants of a civilization he had just destroyed in the name of love. He felt a sense of accomplishment and serenity in the stillness around him.

"THANOS,"

Suddenly, his tranquility was shattered by a thunderous roar filled with anger, hatred, and resentment that shook the very planet beneath him. Feeling slightly irritated, Thanos simply shook his head, thinking it was yet another challenger who had come to him with the intent to destroy him in order to make a name for themselves.

Normally, he would ignore such fools, but today he felt bored and thought, What better way to pass the time than to toy with an ignorant fool, He stood up and faced his challenger.

Before him stood a being he assumed was human, because the being in front of him felt human. The figure wore a dark helmet with pointy things on each side of its head, and it covered his entire head so he couldn't see the face of the human, but Thanos was puzzled by the rest of the outfit, as the challenger only had the helmet for protection.

Other than that, Human wore flip-flops for footwear, something that Thanos had learned about during his research on Earth. He found them quite comfortable and sometimes wore them himself when alone. The challenger also had on black shorts, and the most absurd piece of his clothing was his shirt, or more specifically, what was on his shorts.

It was a plain white shirt with a giant full-torso heart printed on it. Inside the heart was an image of a woman, which he vaguely remembered, sitting on a rock, holding an umbrella on a sunny day. She had an extremely pale complexion, medium dark hair, dark makeup, and a tattoo beneath her eye.

"I came to destroy you, Mad Titan," the human stated as they faced off.

"Foolish mortal, you will feel pain beyond your imagination until the ends of time," Thanos said. But he actually didn't believe what he said himself because the moment he faced the human, every cell in his body screamed at him to run, to run as far away as possible from the monster before him. But his pride held him back.

"I will bathe the star ways in your blood," the human declared as he began to approach Thanos.

"Thanos," and spat Thanos' name in disgust.

"Oh? You're approaching me? Instead of running away, you're coming right at me? Even when you know the might of Thanos?"

"I can't beat the shit out of you without getting closer."

"Oh ho! Then come as close as you like."

That day, two mighty beasts battled, a day of celebration for all beings in the universe, the day the Mad Titan fell.
