Chapter 14: Thomas Elliot
"Congratulations, Master Bruce," Alfred smiled as he handed me a huge plush of a cute grim reaper that I had won at the balloon pop game. I took the giant plushie that was almost as big as me and gave it to Teleute.
Why was Alfred giving me the plushie instead of an employee of the amusement park? because I closed off the entire park since Teleute didn't like crowded places.
"Thank you, my dear," Teleute said, giving me a quick kiss on the cheek as she accepted the plushie.
I wanted to kiss her for real, but this damn body of mine was preventing me from it. Damn you, tiny child body. Damn you.
We continued to play games until noon, where I won every game with the utmost focus and determination to give a plushie to Teleute. Every time she would get a plushie, she would smile, and I would do anything—even destroy the universe—just to see that smile. Maybe I should—I mean, not destroy the universe unless she wants it. I think I'm going to put a universe inside a ring and gift it to her... I think I'm becoming something like Thanos... Anyway, afterward, we headed to a restaurant for lunch.
{Sir, the test for the cat serum that you created has been completed, and it's perfectly compatible with Miss Kyle. If you were to inject her with the serum, she will gain enhanced agility, strength, stamina, durability, reflexes, eyesight, night vision, longevity, hearing, accelerated healing, and feline flexibility.}
While we were eating, Eden updated me on the cat serum I had been developing.
'Put the serum in one of the safes in the fourth layer. How is Selina's training progressing?'
{It's been progressing more slowly than we expected, sir, since she keeps trying to skip training to explore the Batcave. Even though I've told her that with her level 1 access, she is only allowed to enter the Batcave, thus it's impossible for her to access any of the layers, she ignores my warnings.}
'Give her three warnings. If she still doesn't listen, use sleeping gas and have the drones take her outside. Change her access level from 1 to 0 until I say otherwise so that she can't enter the Batcave without someone with higher access.' I commended Eden while enjoying ice cream with Teleute.
{As you wish, sir}
"Master Bruce, Thomas Elliot is here," Alfred whispered, just as I was about to feed ice cream to Teleute.
"What is he doing here, Alfred?" I asked Alfred, since I specifically told him not to allow anyone to disturb us when I'm on a date with my wife.
"The staff let him in, sir, as they recognized him," Alfred explained.
When Bruce was a child, Martha was very protective of him, almost never allowing him to leave Wayne Manor without her or Thomas.
The only chance Bruce had to meet others, other than the staff members at Wayne Manor, was when Martha or Thomas Wayne's friends brought their kids during visits.
One of those children was Thomas Elliot, who, over time, became jealous and obsessed with Bruce Wayne, trying to imitate everything he did.
He wanted to have everything Bruce had and become Bruce Wayne, to the point that he killed his own parents because Bruce lost his.
"Let him in," I told Alfred. I should deal with his psychopath before he becomes the Hush.
Alfred left and returned shortly with a boy about my age, red-haired and blue-eyed, a young blonde woman, and an English butler.
"Bruce, how are you?" Thomas greeted me with a smile, but I could see hatred and jealousy behind his eyes.
"I'm good, Thomas," I replied to him as he sat down with the young woman beside him.
"By the way, this is my wife, Evelyn," Thomas introduced the young woman, who extended her hand towards me.
{She is a law student, sir. Her family's financial status is currently lower middle-class. Her father was a salesman until a car accident left him paralyzed below the waist. He is currently unemployed, and her mother is also currently unemployed. She is the only child with no siblings and has been acting as Thomas Elliot's wife for a year in exchange for a scholarship and a monthly payment of $100,000. Her relatives-}.
'That's enough, Eden. She is insignificant, nothing but an actress he found so he could copy me.'
"Hi, I'm Evelyn Elliot, Thomas's wife," she introduced herself, but I ignored her and focused on Thomas.
"You're too young to be married, Thomas," I told him, but he brushed me off.
Extending his hand, "Hi, I'm Thomas Elliot, Bruce's friend," he introduced himself to Teleute.
Before Teleute could reply, I grabbed his wrist. "What are you doing here, Thomas?" I demanded.
"Why? Can't I just pay a surprise visit to my best friend?" Thomas replied, shaking off my grip.
"Thomas, I am on a date with my wife, and you interrupted it."
"Right, your wife, since you are the only one in the world legally allowed to marry," Thomas said, his eyes filled with growing hatred and jealousy.
"Just like everything else, you have it all, don't you?" he said, clenching his teeth.
"I do have everything," I replied while looking at Teleute. Before I heard the sound of wood stretching, I turned to Thomas and saw him digging his nails into the table.
"And why does it bother you that I have everything, Thomas?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You never appreciate anything you have, just like now. Instead of having fun at the amusement park like everyone else, you closed the place like you owned it so you could feel better; you didn't think of others, only yourself."
"But I do own the place, or more specifically, my parents' charity, the Wayne Foundation, owns this amusement park. And every Sunday, this amusement park becomes exclusive to orphaned children, so they can somehow enjoy a normal and happy childhood. And before you say anything, today is Saturday."
Thomas stared at me for a moment before relaxing and looking apologetic.
"Sorry, Bruce. I didn't mean to lash out at you like that. You know that recently I lost my parents as well, just like you."
"Master Bruce, would you like anything else?" Alfred asked, trying to end our argument while he picked up the empty ice cream cups.
Just as I was about to respond, Thomas spoke up for me.
"No thank you, Alfred," he said.
'This fucker is going to be a huge problem for me in the future. I should take care of him,' I thought as I stood up, took Teleute's hand, and kissed her palm. "I'll be right back, my love."
"Alfred, my glasses," I said, noticing his worried look. I nodded as he handed me my sunglasses.
"Follow me, Thomas," I said, putting on my sunglasses and heading toward the restroom.
"Stay here, Alfred," Thomas told his butler, also named Alfred, as he stood up and kissed his 'wife's' hand. "I'll be right back, my love," he added, following me.
Once inside the bathroom, I didn't say a word. I pulled out my Neuralyzer and turned it on.
"Forget about us ever being friends and your obsession with me. From now on, I am nothing but a kid that you saw a few times when you visited Wayne Manor with your father," I instructed Thomas, who was in a daze, before leaving the bathroom.
"Shall we, my love?" I asked Teleute, extending my hand. She took it and stood up.
"It was great to meet you, Evelyn. I hope you do well in your studies. Remember what we talked about. You're a good girl, so don't give up, okay?" Teleute said to Evelyn with a smile.
"Thank you so much. I really needed that," Evelyn replied, wiping her tears with a napkin.
"It was a pleasure," I simply said to Evelyn, and we left the amusement park to go to a movie theater and then to an aquarium.
We returned to Wayne Manor at night. As we entered, we headed to my room and found Selina lying in front of it. Looks like she had been kicked out of the Batcave.
"Selina, sweetie, get up. You might catch a cold sleeping on the floor," Teleute said gently, nudging Selina's shoulder.
"Huh," Selina mumbled, waking up and rubbing her eyes before sitting up.
When she saw me and Teleute, her sleepiness vanished, and she hugged my arm. "Bruce, tell Eden to be nice to me. Just because I wanted to explore the cave, she kicked me out."
"I told her to kick you out," I replied, and Selina looked at me like I had just killed her puppy.
"It's because you take your training as some sort of joke. When I prepared your training program, I specifically didn't make it heavy so that you could enjoy your day after training. But instead of that, you just skip training as a whole and just fool around."
"But I just wanted to," Selina said, looking at Teleute with big eyes.
Gently grabbing her chin, I forced her to look at me. "Don't look at her; look at me. What did I tell you when you said you wanted to repay me for everything I did for you and you wanted to train like me too so you could help me?"
"If I want to train with you, I must take my training seriously and obey everything you say, or you won't train me anymore because I'd just be wasting your time," Selina said, looking guilty.
"And what did you do?"
"I didn't take my training seriously," she muttered, looking down in shame. "But I promise I will take it really seriously this time. Just give me another chance."
"Do not disappoint me again, Selina," I said, releasing her.
"Bruce, I'm really sorry. I won't mess up again. Please don't leave me," Selina pleaded, her eyes starting to fill with tears as she held my hand and brushed against her face, trying to act like a pitiful kitten.
"Go home, Selina," I said, pulling my hand away and heading to my room.
"It's alright, sweetie. I'll talk to him. Go home and get some rest," Teleute comforted Selina, gently stroking her head. Selina nodded, looking like a lost kitten, and walked away.
"You didn't have to be so harsh, darling. She's just a child," Teleute said as she changed into her black Hello Kitty pajamas.
"That's exactly why I need to be this harsh, to establish the hierarchy between us. If I let her get away with everything now and pamper her, when she gets older, she'll think I'll always overlook her mistakes with a smile on my face and that there are no consequences, thinking that I will always forgive or be nice to her." I said as I changed and lay on the bed, holding Teleute close.
"You are the only one I will ever pamper unconditionally," I said as I buried my face into her bosom.
"Hmm, Hmmm, Hmmmm," Teleute sang softly, stroking my hair as I fell asleep.
