Chapter 370: Chapter 370:Forgotten Instructor

Ishida Uryū's spiritual pressure wasn't particularly strong, but it caused a bit of surprise in the eyes of Lieutenant Matsumoto Rangiku.

But this wasn't some magical girl transformation; Matsumoto Rangiku was a seasoned lieutenant with exceptional combat experience and composure in crisis situations.

When Ishida Uryū erupted with his own spiritual energy, breaking free from the binding, the sword instantly formed a gray crescent blade, filled with a sharp spiritual particle alignment.

Matsumoto Rangiku swung her sword handle, and the crescent blade formed by her Shikai slashed toward Ishida Uryū.

Ishida Uryū, like a puppet being controlled, twisted his legs unnaturally, standing up halfway and jumping backward with his arms still hanging down, dodging Rangiku's attack.

"Ransōtengai!"

A top-level combat technique using countless spiritual threads intertwined to forcefully move parts of the body that cannot otherwise move, like a puppet. Whether tendons are severed or bones are broken, in the face of this technique, such injuries become irrelevant.

The spiritual energy emitted by Ishida Uryū turned into threads, wildly extending, connecting his broken bones and the tendons severed by Rangiku's Shikai.

"Even if you manage to recover, it's pointless," Rangiku noted with a slight frown, seeing Ishida Uryū standing back up.

This guy was quite tenacious.

Faced with such a resilient opponent, Rangiku found the situation a bit troublesome.

"It matters to me; I refuse to be captured by a Shinigami," Ishida Uryū said, slightly moving his severed tendons, his gaze fixed on the dispersing spirit glove on his right hand.

The dispersing spirit glove, also known as the "Sanrei Glove," was a relic left to him by his grandfather. Before entering the Soul Society, Ishida Uryū wore the glove to enhance his power.

The glove could diffuse spiritual particles at a high concentration. For an average Quincy, wearing it would make even holding a bow a challenge. But if one could draw a bow and maintain it for seven days and nights, they would reach the pinnacle of Quincy power.

However, once worn, it could not be removed. Under its influence, a Quincy's ability to gather spiritual particles would exceed their natural limits, ultimately causing severe self-damage. Though the sudden backflow of power would dramatically enhance strength, all of a Quincy's powers would eventually be lost.

Unable to contend with this orange-haired Shinigami with his current strength, Ishida Uryū was determined not to be captured. A fierce determination gleamed in his eyes as he broke the safety mechanism on the spirit glove.

In an instant.

*Boom—*

A massive surge of power erupted, sending a fierce wind blowing in all directions, and a gigantic wave of spiritual energy burst forth from his body.

A wing of light appeared on his right side.

Surrounding tiles and buildings were forcibly shattered into spiritual particles, which gathered into the light wing on his right.

"...This is bad," muttered Matsumoto Rangiku as the gale from Ishida Uryū's eruption billowed around her, causing her Shinigami robe to cling to her body, fluttering wildly.

"This is an enemy for a Captain to handle. I don't want to push my body's limits using the breathing technique."

Her face turned grim, and the smoke from her Shikai could no longer envelop or approach Ishida Uryū due to his overwhelming spiritual energy.

Rangiku quickly waved her Zanpakuto, making all the gray smoke disappear before everyone's eyes. She immediately used Shunpo to retreat.

Ishida Uryū, having activated the spirit glove in an instant, also used Hirenkyaku, pursuing her and releasing arrows from his bowstring.

The two flickered around, with streaks of spiritual arrows being shot from Ishida Uryū's hand like there was no tomorrow, turning the surroundings into a rain of light and raising a cloud of dust.

Matsumoto Rangiku occasionally responded with low-level Hadō spells, dodging along the edge of the spiritual arrows with her Shunpo.

For dozens of rounds, the two narrowly dodged each other's attacks, both Hadō and spiritual arrows.

Finally, a critical moment arrived when both sought to defeat the other decisively.

"You can't dodge this!" Ishida Uryū swiftly moved with Hirenkyaku, his silhouette blurring, forming his strongest spiritual arrow. He finally found an opening to strike Rangiku.

"I've finally lured you into my trap," Matsumoto Rangiku suddenly beamed with a bright smile, flashing a grin at Ishida Uryū.

Ishida Uryū's eyes widened, and he released his powerful spiritual arrow towards Rangiku, watching as it pierced through her chest, causing a ripple and shooting far into the distance, striking a high wall and causing a huge explosion of dust.

"An illusion!" Ishida Uryū's face changed. As he tried to move with Hirenkyaku, it was already too late.

At the same time, Rangiku completed her trap, lightly chanting while swinging her sword handle:

"Bakudō No. 11: Tsuzuri Raiden!"

The voice came from behind Ishida Uryū, and the Rangiku in front of him disappeared like a mirage.

Gray mist appeared beneath his feet, forming a large array, with strong yellow lightning extending along the gray mist toward Ishida Uryū's steps, dispersing the spiritual energy of his Hirenkyaku.

Then, the combined lightning of the gray mist surged through the formation, blasting toward Ishida Uryū in the center.

A massive yellow thunderbolt shot skyward, engulfing Ishida Uryū's figure.

His screams were barely audible within the roaring thunder around them.

Moments later, as the attack subsided, Ishida Uryū's weak breath remained, his body falling from the sky.

Rangiku used Shunpo to appear behind him, grabbing him and slowly descending on the spiritual energy in the air.

"An overly strong flow of spiritual energy blocked your perception. Otherwise, you wouldn't have been fooled by such a simple gray mist illusion," Rangiku shook her head, feeling sorry for the four-eyed boy.

His skills, techniques, and combat abilities were decent for an average lieutenant, but against her, they still seemed immature.

When it came to controlling spiritual particles, only Gin Ichimaru surpassed her in Seireitei. All others were inferior.

After all, she was the strongest lieutenant, a candidate for a captain, just a step away from Bankai.

So, this four-eyed boy losing to her was normal.

Rangiku placed Ishida Uryū on the ground and looked at H'el, standing calmly.

"Now it's your turn. Please don't struggle too much to avoid ending up like him."

Matsumoto Rangiku prepares to battle her forgotten instructor.
