DC: Leave my Cat alone

Chapter 9: Chapter 8: Going high (Snoop Dogg)

Chapter 8: Going high (Snoop Dogg)

As I ran out of the alley, I got hit by the ever growing trees, that for some reason reminded me of Hashirama Senju's woodstyle from Naruto.

I grabbed one of the trunks and then used my newly increased strength to stop it from growing.

The entire forest that was growing now seemed to focus itself onto me, as I saw that massive logs of wood were charging at me from all directions.

"This may be a good time to mention I unlocked [Flight] mode during your date." Steel said.

"You think?!" I asked, as I channeled the Turbo energy to jump as high as I could into the air, and then transformed myself into flight mode.

[Flight mode]

My entire bulky armor then disappeared into Turbo Particles again, and slowly transformed into a suit which had jet thrusters on its back.

A slim, streamlined suit, optimized for flight.

I then controlled the Turbo Energy to boost myself into the sky and took in the view of central city from high up in the sky.

"There!" Steel said, as he located the starting point of the abnormal forest with our birds eye view.

Over there, I could see a hooded man, who seemed to be controlling the entire forest.

He was about 5 streets away from us, making his range of control ridiculously large.

When I looked down, I saw the entire forest slowly started to break apart and seep into the cracks formed in the streets.

'No way am I letting that go.' I thought, as I charged towards him at full speed.

As I dived towards him, I changed back into [strength mode].

Following that, Steel came out of the suit, and we both began to use a trick we saw inside of the show.

I channeled the Turbo Energy and overcharged Steel with it, using which Steel began to shoot long distance projectiles at the hooded figure.

The hooded figure was easily able to dodge most of the Turbo Lazers, and occasionally summoned wooden shields to push himself and quickly dodge the lasers.

"Throw me," Steel said as I approached the hooded figure, and I threw Steel like a shuriken.

I observed as wooden springs emerged from the ground, and the figure used that to jump on the nearest buildings walls, completely avoiding Steel.

However, channeling my inner Hulk, I jumped right into the building, smashing into the building as a process.

Luckily it was late and no one was inside to get hurt.

"Who are you?" Asked the hooded figure, who was now glaring daggers at me.

I literally squished his chest, but he didn't even seem to be in pain, as the injured parts of his body just seemed to be transformed into wood.

"We should be asking you that." Steel said, as he floated and made his way to where we were.

"It is of no business who I am, however you will soon make it my employer's business. You are meddling into matters beyond your understanding." Said the figure, as his entire body slowly began to turn into wood.

"I sense supersonic speed again." Speed told me telepathically.

I grabbed the figure by his neck and raised him, but when I did, his entire body, not including his outfit, crumbled completely.

"Steel, can you scan the entire floor below us for this guy." I asked Steel.

"I have, but I can literally see a hundred trees inside of the Earth, which makes no sense. He seemed to have prepared for this beforehand as an escape strategy." Steel replied.

"We should leave." I said out loud, to which Steel nodded.

As I was halfway through transforming into [Flight] mode, I heard lightning crackling around me, and I turned to my side to see a man in a red suit looking at me.

"Now where are you trying to go?" The man asked me, and I could see that he was smiling.

As he spoke, I realized his voice was extremely familiar.

Seeing that I didn't speak, the man in red, The Flash, continued, "You just caused a massive mess and you want to leave?"

"Steel, is that…"I asked telepathically.

"After analyzing speech patterns, pitch and amplitude. Yes, it seems like this man is your friend." Steel said.

I felt extreme surprise.

Barry Allen is the Flash?

"Human, you got the wrong guy." Steel replied out loud for me, since me using my voice might make Barry recognize who I am.

"Oh yeah? Who else is here who would do it then?" Barry asked, as he looked around to see nothing.

"Check Satellite imaging, the cameras near here should be fried but not the satellites your suit is connected to, they show we were fighting with someone else." Steel said.

Then, with my super hearing, I could hear a voice inside of Barry's suit.

"He is right, Barry, he was fighting what seems to be a plant man…Plantman? Was that good?" Said what sounded like Cisco from Barry's communication devices.

"You can do WAY better." Said what sounded like Iris.

"Yeah you're right. Wonder what would be better." Cisco continued.

I was contemplating whether I should leave, now that the Flash knows I didn't cause all of this, I didn't need to worry about being treated like a villain and having to worry about someone running faster than sound chasing after me.

"If you're not hostile, I would prefer if you follow me so I can ask you some questions." The Flash said.

"Yeah no thanks, maybe another time." Steel replied, as we shot off into the sky

Time to go back home.

"Guys where the hell is he flying off to." Barry asked his team as he saw the man in the blue suit fly off into the sky.

"Barry, he just disappeared from our satellites, I don't know where he is." Cisco replied.

"Let me come back to Star labs first." Barry said, as he ran to Star labs in a couple of seconds.

Right as he entered the lab, Cisco walked towards him and pulled his emblem off from the suit.

"After the whole fiasco we had with throwing lightning, I realized other speedsters could also throw lightning, so in the off chance Barry ever got struck by lightning, I added something to the emblem to absorb any special types of energies detected." He narrated as he placed the emblem on a nearby device.

With that, the display monitors changed completely, as Barry, Cisco and Iris walked closer to the energy readings.

"Woah…what the hell is this?" Barry said as he saw the readings of this new mysterious energy.

"Man…I have absolutely no clue." Cisco said in amazement, as he tried to move the screen around and get a 3D imaging of the energy readings.

Iris then pressed a button on the monitor, which allowed the system Cisco built to compare the energy with the speed force.

And the readings changed drastically.

"What the hell is that?!" Jay Garric said, as he entered the room, with visible shock and greed in his eyes.

"This…seems to be the energy the satellites picked up before the team reassembled." Barry said, as he used his super speed to pull up the readings from the day Steel came into this world.

Joe, who just entered as well, was extremely confused, not being able to follow the science nerds at all.

"Jay…does this mean…" Barry asked, slightly confused.

"Yes Barry, this is the key to you getting faster." Jay said, with a slightly creepy smile that no one realized since they were too shocked.

"We need Caitlyn back, now."

Steel and I shot straight into the sky, and flew to a part of the city without too many cameras and entered the sewers.

From there, I didn't have to worry about being tracked.

I flew my way to sewers near my house which didn't have cameras, and discreetly made my way back home.

"Now that was fun." Steel said, as we both got rid of the sewers smell before entering my apartment.

I didn't need for Tom to worry, or for the cat sitters in the house to judge me.

"I am home." I said, as I entered the house.

Everything seemed fine inside of the apartment, the only problem being Tom's food was not even touched, but was inside of his bowl.

"Hi Lucas." I heard a slightly familiar voice, and turned to see Caitlyn on my sofa, with Tom sleeping on her lap.

"Hello Caitlyn, I didn't know Cisco meant you when he said he would have a cat sitter." I said quietly, trying not to wake Tom up.

"Yeah, well this little guy is one of my favorite cats, I just wouldn't miss an opportunity to meet him." She said, as she rubbed Tom's fur, as he continued snoring and sleeping.

Tom was acting as if he was a 50 year old man who just pulled double shifts.

"He definitely is a unique cat." She continued.

"I hope he didn't make any trouble for you." I said, as I dropped my house keys into their designated spot.

"Not at all, he was actually a delight. To be honest I even brought a Dark-Matter scan to see if he was a Meta-cat when Cisco told me he was real but I got nothing." She said.

"Yeah well, most of it is animation, I just like to use his face for the animation." I lied.

"Yeah, I can tell, he behaved like a completely normal cat, other than weirdly liking to walk on his 2 feet. The only thing is, no matter what I did he would not have a bite to eat at all." She said, pointing towards the uneaten cat food.

I don't know if it's the system or Tom himself, but for some reason he didn't have to behave like a normal cat to be deemed a normal cat.

I couldn't help but smile slightly at him not eating any food.

Stupid cat.
